There have been a few rumors surrounding production issues regarding Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console. But according to Nintendo, everything is fine: the Wii U is on track for a late 2012 release date, as promised at E3 2011. Specifically, Nintendo released a statement, saying:
“Production and development efforts remain on track for the Wii U launch, which will take place between the start of the 2012 E3 Expo in June, and the end of 2012.”
Expect the full unveiling of the Wii U, its price, accessories, and launch line up at E3 2012.
