Nintendo Wii U experience event in Chicago

Nintendo is taking the Wii U across the US, showing off the new console to the press and public in a series of events called “Wii U Experience”. It’s an effort to get the Wii U into the hands of gamers to try it out, as the console really is something that has to be experienced first hand in order to appreciate its uniqueness. This time, Nintendo brings the show to gamers in Chicago. The video shows a packed gathering and lots of interviews with gamers who got a chance to play some of the many games at the event. Be sure to check out the previous videos of Wii U experience events in New York and at the San Diego Comic-Con.

      • verymetal

        Hey,

I am just going on what Nintendo promised. Those promises are not being fulfilled. I want to be excited for Wii U, but nothing shown has me excited. As for me being “retarted,” ur is spelled your and retarted is spelled retarded. There is even a red line under words that are spelled wrong to help you out. You should use it, but I take it your excited over what the Wii U has shown so far. I rest my case.

        • james

I think what everyone is wondering, is why you’re trolling on this site? You asked for all this negativity. And yes people are excited about the Wii U, regardless of what you think. You should have rested your case before ever posting; because this is a site for people to be excited about the Wii U. What I don’t understand is how YOU don’t understand the intent of this webpage.

As I have stated before, everybody who has actually played games using the GamePad has liked it. In their own words, it is light, comfortable, and responsive.

Nintendo is generating a lot of buzz, and consumers are responding positively to the brand and marketing. They have lit a fire, and I think it has a good chance of igniting the entire gaming industry.

Still, I can’t wait for the final NDA to be lifted. I want to hear about 2013 titles. I want to hear developers explain extensively how they plan to implement the GamePad.

I’m also not adverse to some announcement towards – I don’t know – a console Pokemon game in the vein of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Just sayin’.

  • AO1JMM

Bring it to San Diego CA please. Lol

  • Ricardo

Haters, either xbox, nintendo or ps3 haters are hypocrites, they keep talking and talking bad stuff about the other console, but then when a console launches, they are first in line only to test it to find out if they were wrong or right.

  • EvanescentHero

Come to Seattle, Wii U! Please!

  • Hi8us

The more people talk badly about Nintendo’s upcoming hardware, the better it does. Just like DS was supposed to be bad because people didn’t understand 2 screens. Just like wii was gonna fail because people didn’t understand motion controls. Just like 3DS was gonna fail because it’s just another DS. So now people say Wi U’s gonna fail because they don’t understand the gamepad. The future is looking plenty bright for Nintendo and the Wii U.

  • Christopher

I hope they bring the Wii U experience over to here in Northern Ireland soon. I don’t want to travel all the way to England (if it goes to england) to get my hands on the Wii U, Northern Ireland has enough space =(
