More unannounced Wii U launch games are in development

Earlier this month, Nintendo proudly announced a list of over 50 Wii U games which will be released during the launch window, which spans until March 2013. But apparently, there are even more games in development that haven’t been announced yet — some which will available during the launch window.

Wii U launch gamesSpeaking to IGN, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime revealed that there are some Wii U games in development that have yet to be announced for one reason or another. And some of those games are targeted for release during the launch window. Nintendo has been pretty good at keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to Wii U games, as they surprised everyone by revealing the Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 earlier this month.

The Wii U will launch with over 15 games available on day one, and another 15 games will be release before the end of 2012. Then there’s some 20 titles that are scheduled for release before the launch window expires in March 2013. Several Nintendo first party titles have been pushed to this period, including Pikmin 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, and Wii Fit U.

For more details, check out the full list of Wii U launch games.

  • Ledreppe

This has got to be one of the best, if not best, home console launch and launch window lineup of games yet. So much choice, there’s something for all tastes.

    • Neonridr

people forget that a previous Nintendo system (the Nintendo 64) launched with only 2 games (Mario 64 & Pilotwings 64)!! Could you imagine if the Wii U launched with only 2 titles?? Meanwhile instead we get 15 games, with another 15 promised by year’s end. What’s not to like about that?

      • Darknut

But then again, Mario 64 was the most innovative, most fun EVER then.
If anybody didnt play it, their childhood was seriously lacking :P

    • Xblade13

I agree completely. Why would somebody NOT be excited for this system. Even if you take off the ports of PS3/360 games, you still got:
      platformers = NSMBU, Rayman Legends
      shooters = ZombiU
music: Sing Party, Just Dance 4
party: Nintendo Land, Game and Wario
racers: Sonic and All-stars Racing Transformed
slashers: Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge (going to be drastically different from original), Bayonetta 2
rpgs: Dragon Quest X, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
      strategy: Pikmin 3

Not to mention all the 3rd party games will be using at least some feature of the gamepad. 1080p and 60fps on those as well.

There is definately something for everyone.

    • Troll patrol.

You are under arrest for over exciting everybody !!!!

      • Elladan

        You are trolling Mr. Officer.

      • Shulololol

fuuuuuck. even the troll patrol gets corrupted O_o
what did they pay you. what did the fu..ing trolls pay you!?!?

i tell you we are screwed. all screwed!! trolls wil take over everything!

        • Troll patrol.

Troll patrol is just playin :P . I was suggesting his comment was excellent and exciting !! that’s why I had to arrest him !!!

          • Shulololol

yes. as always. it begins with playing and ends in chaos!!!

i just realized the todays internet changing event will lead to 12.21.2012!!!

          • sponix03

if u see the cops, warn a brother (warner brothers joke)

      • Bacon

        gotta love the troll patrol

    • Nintedward.

Yeh lol . Remember how bad the 3ds launch was compared to this !!!

It had one really great game – street fighter 4 . then it had a handfull of good/ok games like pilot wings / ridge racer / ghost recon /Nintendogs if that was your thing . Nothing else was worth buying , but the 3ds soon fixed that problem in fashionable style !!!

      • Yodin

Bought a 3DS later on, i didn’t buy one at launch and now i love it better then Vita in my opinion more games i liked on the 3DS compared to Vita.

        • Nintedward.

Mario kart 7 , Mario 3d land , ocarina 3d , starfox 3d , kid icarus , resident evil rev , dead or alive dimensions , street fighter 4 , Kingdom hearts DDD , NSMB2 , mario tennis open , Tales of the abyss , Shin megami tensei overclocked , Tekken prime wih 3d movie !! ,

And just sooo many others . Here in the UK I have been loving PES2012 for my 3ds earning over 70 hours of my playtime . It’s the best portable football/soccer game I have ever played , even better than that gimped fifa on the vita !!!

          • NINTENDOFTW

Tales of the Abyss was awesome.

          • Nintedward.

            @NINTENDOFTW

YES SIR . I have played symphonia on gamecube and eternia on psp before !!!! . but Abyss is my best Tales of game so far !!!!

Just love everything about that series . It’s the alpha and omega of JRPG’s :) .

          • Cugno the Swiss

            @Nintendward.
No way Abyss is better than Symphonia, that is the best game EVURRRR!!!
Other than that, I played Phantasia on the GBA, which wasn’t anything special, Symphonia 2 on the Wii, which was ok, and Vesperia on the Xbox360, which was good, but Abyss has got to be my second favorite just after Symphonia. Along with Zelda and Silent Hill, the Tales series is my favorite videogame series. Namco Bandai will most likely make a new Tales for the Wii U, we just have to with it’ll be localized here in the Damned Lands of the West.

          • Cugno the Swiss

*we just have to WISH, not WITH, what’s wrong wish me???

          • Zeta

i’m still waiting on a golden sun, i love that series and hope the next one if great, so far i’ve been holding off on the 3DS in favor of the Wii U and maybe another home console but the Wii U seems to be shaping up to be enough for my only home console this gen so if i get a job of some kind i’ll most likely get the 3DS also.

        • Madmagican

eh, I wanted a 3ds, but I never got around to it and now I’m saving up for a Wii U. Guess that’s why they have emulators, not really my thing but good if you want less of the real experience and just want to ploy through the games

          • Madmagican

            plow*

      • AKA-Link77

Yah. . . i would expect ofcourse more games. Nin Probably wants to surprize alot of ppl again soon. ;)

      • Marcus

In the end it is the games that sell the system. The best system spec wise will not sell if the games are not there. Specs are nice, but with nbothing to play makes them useless. Wii U has the specs and the games. Now the just need a commercial to get kids asking for it this Christmas. A commercial at movie theaters before the movie would not hurt either.

        • Marcus.

this is the best lineup i have ever seen.
          and i have seen 2.

      • Master Awesomeness

You f***n’ idiot! You forgot ocarina of time!

    • Yodin

Who would give a negative is so dumb, i give 10 ups for that :)

    • Castamere

I totally agree. The Wii U has such a robust launch lineup. It’s hard to ignore. I am certain that it is for that reason that I, and so many other gamers, were motivated to get the console at launch. Remember the Nintendo 64 launch lineup? Only Pilotwings 64 and Super Mario 64 were available at launch. Nintendo has really worked hard to make the Wii U launch appealing to everyone.

    • 007 1/2

      Wheres Mario Kart?

      • Nintenlord

        In development duh

        • THAT GAMING GUY

i have not seen any news about the next mario kart game

    • D2K

The Wii U has a a bright future ahead of it.

    • TheMan

To be honest, I would have liked to have a MGS title and a new Japano-RPG as well, but the launch window has plenty of other games I´d like to play already.

      • Zeta

i would have definitely liked an JRPG in the launch window, for two simple reasons and first is that RPGs generally last longer and i’m an RPG fan basically give me a few RPGs, an adventure game and then something with a high replay value online ala COD and i’m usually set for a while.

  • AnesthesiaGamer

    This is actually really annoying…

I think Nintendo would be better off having Launch games and then having a continuously expanding library. This sounds like they’re throwing all their eggs out by march, then run out of ideas.

Also, I’m starting to get sick of videogame companies keeping gamers in the dark. @annoyedgamer has it right. What do companies loss by telling us what’s going on? If you make a game and I want it, I’ll buy it. If I don’t want it I won’t get it. Telling me a month before it releases only makes it hard for me to save and then I end up getting it when the price drops..

    • Nintenlord

They lost the ability to excite us unexcited consumers buy less and get bored quicker

      • Big N

Is this what happened to Vita. So much hype then plumet to the toilet?

        • Nintenlord

Yes thats why they hold info to trow us big chucks little by little

        • revolution5268

yup like that, remember don’t believe the hype from Sony because its always shit.

    • Grodus

Well, now you have a lot of choices. Even if there wasn’t much more games for a while after this, you have tons of games now, enough to fill up that time period. Be grateful for choices.

    • Yamiryuu Zero

Well, remember one of the first trailers of Rayman Legends? It was supposed to use the NFC chip, but now the idea was trow away. Now think, what would happen if they announced every project and in the middle of the course, half of them got canceled!
There is a reason to why they don’t tell us what those games are, aside from generating hype and attention of the media. First, they need to make sure all of the titles they announce are going to be done. There’s no reason to announce a game in it’s early stages of development, because it might get canceled, completely changed, or move to other platform. Also, it avoids other companies ripping-off the idea/basics right away.

  • Xblade13

    I wonder what they are?
    (crosses fingers for Retro’s game)

    • Cugno the Swiss

Retro’s secret project, Capcom’s secret project, Miyamoto’s secret new IP, the new secret RPG being developed… Too many secrets! I just want to know that already.
Won’t be getting the console at launch though, too expensive, at least here in Switzerland.

      • Zeta

its true so many rumored games to be in development that are all sounding really good, RPG from Monolith is definitely on my radar and supposedly two other developers are making exclusives for the Wii U along with another game each, we still know nothing about Miyamoto’s new IP although it may just be what Retro is working together with him to make which in itself is awesome and then there is Capcom who although we don’t have any rumors specifically saying its coming to the Wii U is a good guess that it might.

  • Trev

I agree there are so many awesome launch game it’s hard to choose. I just hope resident evil six will be on of these unannounced titles !

  • Ed

All these games and not one RPG. I hope one of these announcements is and RPG, the touch screen was made for something like a turn based rpg

    • Ed

Surprise me with Lunar 3 or Breath of Fire 6

      • Nintenlord

I think mass effect counts has an rpg

        • Yamiryuu Zero

I think he meant JRPG. Like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest (the first DQ title for Wii U is a MMORPG, so I guess it doesn’t count as a classic RPG). I too think we need more RPGs, specially JRPGs! But I’m already hyped enough for the Wii U to come, I can wait a few more months before hearing about a JRPG game for Wii U!

          • AnesthesiaGamer

Would you vote for a president if you didnt know what his platform was?
Would you go to a doctor that said “there may be treatment for you in the future, but we’re not telling you right now”?

No other branch of the entertainment industry keeps people as in the dark as videogames company. I liked being an informed consumer.

Your comment about Rayman is irrelevant. Yes they don’t use that, some people got disappointed but whatever. You’re still gonna get the game if u like it and you won’t if you don’t.

          • Xblade13

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. (does it count?)
Also, the guys that did Xenoblade Chronicles are making something for Wii U. It will come later, but hopefully it will come West immediately rather than another Rainfall be necessary.

  • Jetty

Nintendo won’t have another ten game launch window(3DS). They have a much better variety of titles to persuade people to get a Wii U. A few popular remakes and a few popular franchises to hold everybody over. There’s a great amount of games that have caught my eye, we’ll find out what the Wii U is capable of.

  • Drawin

I wouldn’t get your hopes up for another Zelda/Metroid game being apart of this, but to be honest it’s all for the good. The longer they take to make a game = the better it will turn out.

As for the actually lineup, both 1st and surprisingly 3rd party games in the lineup for launch has been outstanding, although it makes the pain for Wii U to come ever more painful. :P

    • Just nintendo

Wii U is god of consoles.
      JUST NiNTENDo
      i WANT wii U i cant wait

  • Novum Magus

C’mon, this does not take any journalistic talent whatsoever. You went to IGN’S site and got this story. I just read it over there and now I get it thrown in my face here. I understand you “sourced” them, but this is what journalism breaks down to on the internet. A slow child could do it, and would probably be better than what is out there right now. I enjoy this site, but this method of acquiring stories makes it seem quite weak. Quite weak, indeed.

    • Grodus

And? Its a story. Some of us don’t go to IGN every day! Maybe we don’t like the fact they hate Nintendo? WHY DO YOU THINK WE’RE ON A WII U SITE!? I am done.

      • frank

        Preach it to ‘em, Grodus

    • revolution5268

they need proof where they got the info from, there are not pulling stuff out of there ass just to please fanboys.

  • lordfenixnc

This has got to be the biggest console launch ever. my worry is a year from now. Are we still going to get 15-30 big name games a year or every other? I know I don’t want the wiiu spamed with shit titles. But at the same time I love to see new and old IPs come to Nintendo.

Killer instinct, skies of arcadia, grandia, and zone of the enders. plenty more come to mind.

    • Jimmeth

Killer Instinct was made by rareware, who are owned by microsoft now :’(
      Damn I’d love banjo-kazooie wii u, Banjo – kaUie? haha I suck

  • EPICGAMER111

Woo Hoo, tons of games means tons of fun.

  • Dreamynintendo

it’s lovely to see the wii u is getting a lot of attention.can’t wait for the 1st party games

  • SideScreamer

If I remember, the Wii had like 0 games anyone wanted to buy in release day.
So I’m glad Nintendo’s learnt and has prepared us with an amazing line up of games. And Ubisoft and Activision’s contributions are fantastic.

    • Neonridr

0 games on release day??? Are you forgetting a certain title called The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess?

    • Grodus

3DS, too. They USED to be *really* bad at launch. Now, they give us launch day buyers this in apology.

  • theBALLANCEDopinion

Can somebody please explain to me how ninja gaiden 3 is a first party title?

    • Nintenlord

      Is being published by nintendo

  • Not Important

While I kind of doubt it, I really hope that one of these unannounced games is the one Retro is working on. I mean, not only was it supposed to be announced at E3 this year, but it would give a big boost to my anticipation of the Wii U (assuming it is Star Fox, Donkey Kong, or Metroid like many of us believe). The announcement just seems to keep getting delayed, I hope it is at the very least announced within the launch window.

  • NintendoGamer

I want Borderlands 2, Crysis 3, Dead or Alive 5, XCom, Hitman Absolution and BioShock Infinite Wii U versions confirmed!

    • NintendoGamer

Now, even tho I have a pic of Borderlands 2, the game that MUST get ported to the Wii U it’s XCom! I played the game at E3 2012 and it’s AMAZING!

      • Nintenlord

I dont give a dime for borderland but xcom on wiiu is a great idead i would also like dishonored too

    • Neonridr

I am pretty sure BioShock Infinite was confirmed to be coming to the Wii U. It might be a few months late though..

    • icanseeu

Wouldn’t it be cheaper for you to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360?

  • On The Fence

Ooooh, funky Barn bet thats got Microsoft and Sony s#$#ing their pants, HA.

    • Neonridr

      don’t underestimate the Barn!

  • nintendoododo

Why they are telling anything to IGN(orant)? They suck at reviewing games. They gave 6.0 to my favourite game. IGNorant sucks.

    • Neonridr

and they give 9′s to CoD games..

    • Lazara The Last

They suck because you disagree with them? I often disagree with them, but I still like them. They give me my news, and they have great reviews!

      • nintendoododo

They sucks because they give good games bad review and fucking shit games good review. Cod Mw3 got 9/10 on ign. Why? It is same as Mw2. The game that got 6.0 is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I don’t know why they gave 6.0? It’s so fun game and addictive. It deserves at least 8.5 but if you ask me I give 10/10.
        Best gamecube game ever.

        • Kahhhhyle

I’m sorry the best gamecube game ever was paper Mario the thousand year door:)

          • Troll patrol.

F-zero GX and phantasy star online episode 1 and 2 would like a word with you . So would resident evil 4 .

          • Xblade13

            Wind Waker

        • Swic11

I think ign is biased, but what gaming website isn’t? Give me ONE site at sin biased to a certain company. Even this site is biased for Nintendo, which isn’t necessarily bad, but biased nonetheless.

          • Swic11

            ***one site that isn’t*****

          • Damiao

Obviously this site is biased to Nintendo. This is a Nintendo fan site…

        • AKA-Link77

WAT! THEY gave Sonic Adventure 2 a 6?!
Thats like the best Sonic game ever! Who knows wen we’ll see Chao’s ever again! Tho they are a bit childish, those things were cool. I wish for a remake that would of course fix those glitches, give Chao’s powers like fire, ice, electric, light, or Dark and more (mainly just for looks tho). . . and integrate online play with chao’s and normal play! Imagine racing online with Shadow! Or letting yr chao race against others or fighting to the death!
          :D Pure owsmness! :D

        • Nintedward.

OMG!!!! I am so with you there buddy !! sometimes they get arrogant and biased on their reviews , like they almost abuse their power . They have their Di%ks up loads of shi&ty ps3 and 360 games that are appauling .

Sonic adventure 2 battle on the Gamecube was mind blowing . They gave it 9.4/10 on the dreamcast but only 6.0 on the gamecube , even though the gamecube version was better with its modern chao garden !!!

          • NintendoGamer

They give Tekken tag Tournament 2 a 7.5/10 even tho it was a clear 9!

          • Nintenjoe64

All gaming sites let a few trolly reviews slip out to get noticed. I have a journo friend who wrote a review for GTA:San Andreas and gave it around 75% for being the same game but bigger and he got so much abuse from GTA fans.

Most sites (especially IGN) are also guilty of Arsene Wenger rose tinted glasses views of tired franchises or just fundamentally bad games that they want to see do well.

I don’t want to incur the wrath of the fanboys but I think the last few Zelda games have been overrated. Obviously they are there or thereabouts with the scores they got and I can’t really say I’ve played anything better in the meantime but in some cases reviewers mentioned the many flaws of the games but game them higher scores than they did for Ocarina which is pretty much the perfect 3d adventure.

To be honest the only single thing I would change about Zelda (besides good voice acting) would be stopping play to tell you that you’ve collected a skull/rupee etc.

          • Nintenlord

please lets not ruin the festivities talking about biased sites

          • Grodus

            @Nintenjoe64 I thought LoZ:SS was awesome. It’s all opinion.

        • Josh

IGN are complete jerks to Sonic games. Giving a 6.0 to a game like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is pretty much calling it bad. The same thing happened to me on GameSpot. They gave Skyward Sword a 7.5. 7.5 is a good score, just not for a Zelda game. While it wasn’t the best Zelda game, it definitely Ocarina of Time in every way imaginable.

          • Josh

            *Definitely surpassed Ocarina of Time.

          • Troll patrol.

Naaah . Ocarina of time for 1998 is the most impressive unsurpassable game of all time . You cannot compare a 2011 game to it technicaly .

Skyward sword is the best game of 2011 possibly the years before allthough super mario galaxy 1 and 2 are running it for its money.

Ocarina of time is simply ”the undisputed greatest game of all time by a long long long way” …

          • Lati

@troll patrol Majoras mask would like to disagree. Same platform, but it was better.

          • Troll patrol.

@Lati – I agree , majoras mask is the only game I personally can think which can compete with ocarina or maybe even arguably better it .

But one things is for sure , Ocarina always gets the credit because it came first and revoloutionized gaming for ever the story line was more on track and epic and the dungeon layout was prefered over all to the sinister time shifting mechanins of majoras mask .

I agree with you !!!! but the majority of the world doesnt :( ! Ocarina holds the title !!

        • Alienfish

Chill out. The reviews are a matter of opinion and you clearly have your own as well. Finding solid information on a game is usually more helpful than a review, but the review may tell you things like how the interface is clunky or how the gameplay just doesn’t feel right. There are usually videos as well so you can make your own judgement. If you were the person writing the reviews I’m sure there would be people out there that disagree with you so lighten up and look at reviews from more than one place, including IGN, because they often write good articles and provide a good amount of information in their reviews and cutting them out would be cutting out just one more perspective.

    • xdlugia

Dude, IGN isn’t just IGN. Audrey Drake and Richard George are great reviewers, but others like Greg Miller qre slightly biased.

  • Byte Man

You forgot DOA: Dimensions. Although I do understand, given most people wrote it off. But I feel it was stronger than SSF IV, but whichever.

    The lineup WAS super-weak, though.

  • Damiao

Random question. But does anyone know if those Rogers Internet sticks (USB I believe) will work on the wii u? My brother is a PC addict (mainly WOW) and my dad takes away our modem a lot to get him off the comp. So I was thinking of buying the Rogers stick strictly for my wiiU. Really hoping it will work.

    • Neonridr

not sure Damiao. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. That’s a good question. I guess when you go into the network settings and set it to wireless and plug in the Rogers Rocketstick it could work. I believe it works the same way with a laptop/computer right? Be interesting to know though.

      • Neonridr

actually upon further research, it looks like the only way it works is to plug the stick into a laptop/computer, then have the Wii U connect wirelessly to that computer instead. I guess the way the Rocketstick works it needs a PC connection.

So while possible, I don’t know how good it will work.

        • Damiao

Thanks for the reply Neonridr :) i did some research myself and i believe that the “rogers rocket mobile hot spot” will work for a console. although i don’t know how fond i am of paying 52$/month for it. I’m really not a big gamer, just a really big nintendo fan and the wiiU has definitely caught my attention.

  • Johny

nintendo…..what are you doing….. nintendo …. STAHP !!! too many great games already …well imo there is no such thing as too many (good) games… but my wallet says otherwise xD
    you rule nintendo xD

  • maveric-hunter

Yes! >:O FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE!! FEED ME MORE!!!

    • JC

Ryback is that you? YES YES YES!

    • revolution5268

      later.

  • goginho

The Wii U is beast!! ’nuff said..

    • On The Fence

Is it, I don’t think nuff has been said, beast means peerless power yet no specs have been released so in what way is wii u a beast, do you mean in terms of first party titles, I could understand that but don’t waste everyone’s time with inane babble.

      • Grodus

No, beast means awesome! ‘NUFF. SAID.

        • On The Fence

No, it means untouchable, peerless, in a league of it’s own or simply put better than the rest, so what I’m saying is ‘PROOVE. IT.

  • Nintenjoe64

    Pleeeeeaaaassseee be Mario Kart!

Please either include all tracks ever or have them as DLC.

I have a feeling this will be games that have disappeared from the 2011 teaser reel.

Im still not sure if wii u game pad can play those ds type games like elite beat agents?? Or touch screen games right on gamepad? Or it is limited to streaming gameplay or maps???

    • EvanescentHero

The majority of Scribblenauts Unlimited happens on the GamePad. What you see on the TV screen is just a replica. The game is actually played entirely on the GamePad’s screen.

    • Cubits

It certainly can do touch-based gameplay just as well as the DS. Games like the Wonderful 101 are already showing off the drawing gameplay elements as found in ouendan/EBA. I’ll definitely be checking that out as a possible buy. :>

    • eli seth

are you new? of course you can play games on the gamepad some games you can even play just on the game pad without TV

    • Nintenlord

both if you dont belive me check mass effect 3 wii u video

    • On The Fence

  • mc7791

I think the liked launch title list for this site is not correct. Has Nintendo themselves out out an official launch title list?

  • Smokey cheese

I would love to play Excitetruck on the wii u. The wii game was amazing

    • Neonridr

oh yes it was.. I got that included with my Wii when I preordered it. Came with Excite Truck and Raving Rabbids bundled with my Wii. Loved Excite Truck..

    I meant put out.

  • 3dsguy

Agree i have vita and 3ds and 3ds and wii u rule it, like the graphics on vita but dont matter if the game not that good as us nintendo fans know. just imagine nintendo’s next heldheld.will it still be a ds or maybe a new gameboy, few years to go.

  • 3dsguy

Nintendo is the boss of gaming thats life

    • On The Fence

      Everything changes, thats life.

      • The Detonator

OK what did that have to do with his comment????really stop trolling and get a life…..if you dont want to talk about games get off of this site

        • On The Fence

The point is I do like games but one line fangasms ruin comments sections. The original comment was a spoof of the saying everything changes, thats life.

  • 3dsguy

Excite truck wii u would be amazing loved that

    SHENMUE?

  • Benjaminkno

Again, not much news here. I really hope they can get RE5. They need to convince third party devs that there’s a market for their games, if not, I’m afraid Nintendo will be cursed in this regard. It doesn’t matter what Nintendo does if they can’t reel in some PS360 fans, though I’m confident they will. I feel like we need to start a petition to attract 3rd party games like Crysis, GTA5 and whatever else “core” gamers want. Am I the only one that wants a Wii U Kid Icarus?

    • LolWatTurtles

      1) RE5? I’m not sure if you meant RE6 but while I love RE5 why would anyone want a 2009 game ported to a next-gen console.

      2) Rockstar has already talked about many times about GTA5 on the Wii U. Research it. ._.

      3) All Crytek has said about Crysis 3 on the Wii U is that it’s “Currently not in development.” Even though Wii U Daily said Crysis 3 Wii U won’t be happening, which was misleading and they never said that.

      4) Starting a petition for more 3rd party games would just be sad. Nintendo is pulling in more and more developers already.

      5) I’ve been a PS3 gamer from 2009-2012 (It was my only console of those years) and Nintendo has pulled me into the Wii U.

      • NintendoGamer

Not gonna lie, even tho I love the PS3, it was trash from 2006 to 2008. Few good exclusives, buggy ports, etc.. It had a very bad start.

        • LolWatTurtles

Edit: I actually got my PS3 in Christmas of 2009 so I really had it since 2010-2012 I guess.

I sold my PS3 not too long ago because I got bored of it. While I did love it I mainly switched to PC gaming now.

  • NintendoLover

Does anyone know if the Wii U GamePad’s screen is HD or not? I’m really curious to know the resolution of the screen. I would be very upset to find out that the Wii U GamePad screen is not HD. I’m just asking for HD Nintendo on the GamePad. Just make it at least 720p. PLEASE!

    • Nintenlord

A screen that small hd is useless

    • Neonridr

The screen is not HD. The resolution of the gamepad is 854×480 so it is not 720p (1280×720). It will still look amazing since the screen is only 6.5″ in size. Don’t worry, you wouldn’t really be able to tell the difference between what you will see and 720p on a screen that small.

  • Nintenjoe64

I wonder how many are VC and eShop games. There’s only a handful so far so I’d imagine there are some unannounced ones of them

GTAV might be the other. I for one hope it has motion+ controlled beating of prostitutes!

  • Tehtriggerman

Wow. I am so glad to get the Preorder in for my Black one. This is a great lineup. Although the term launch window still throws me off a bit…

  • Paul

seen one or 2 pop up on zavvi for £86 which is stupid for a game

but thanks again for the news wiiudaily

  • On The Fence

Sony just announced day one PSN digital downloads on all titles starting October, I’m sure they thanked Nintendo for the idea.

  • Grodus

“Too much games, not enough space!”
I hope people have seen that commercial when they read this.

    • revolution5268

Lol^^^ I would love to see that on commercials these comments.
Like here is an example on how it should look like.

      Together Wii U.

  • Neonridr

Gamestop has a listing for Sniper Elite V2 showing a March release date on the Wii U. Wouldn’t surprise me as a sniper game would be a great use of the gamepad..

  • Count me in

Any more info on the ESPN Kart racing?

  • WiiUnited

Nintendo should make a brand new F-Zero, with online I would definitely buy it after playing it on the SNES

  • Joesatmoes

in think 3rd party games: Ghost Recon Online will be re-confirmed, BF4 maybe (but more likely when announced on other consoles), Red Steel 3(PLEASE!), GTAV (maybe), and Resident Evil 6.

I doubt any new first party titles will be announced- they’ll be announced next year at E3 or the year after (to steal XBox 720/PS4′s thunder). However we might get more info on SSB4…

What Im hoping for is INFO ON NINTENDO NETWORK! YOU DIDNT TALK ABOUT IT AT E3 OR THE NINTY WII U CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wii U Gamer#19

They should make a Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the future for Wii U maybe about 4 yrs but man i can’t wait for Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon my anticipation for this game under control but for how long ;)

  • James

    I want Metroid Prime 4!!!!!!!!

  • Nintyfan

  • L1MON

  • revolution5268

we only know a few games that will be after the launch window.

  • Yamiryuu Zero

    @AnesthesiaGamer
For some reason I can’t reply to your comment, so I’ll write it here.
I fail to see your logic. The only thing I’m saying is that they won’t show us those games until they decide it is the proper time to do so. Your comparison doesn’t make sense. We will have information regarding those games, just not yet.

Gaming development isn’t something easy to do. Most things change directions during the development (Ocarina of Time was going to be in first person view at first). You can’t show something so uncertain to the public, it’ll cause uneasiness to the gamers if you start changing everything you show, and that’s exactly what happens during the time you develop a game.

Things change, drastically sometimes. You can’t announce an FPS game and then say it’ll be a third person RPG afterwards. And then you may even change the game to a 2D platform! Imagine how little trustworthy the gaming industry would be if they announced games at the earliest stages of development!

    • Ibiexplorer4

Try replying from the earlier comment.

  • metroidfusion2

Several game developers have unannounced games and I can’t wait to see em and the wii u already has 85 games just go to wikipedia to see the list now of course the list will be changing over time and games will be taken off and added on but damn that is a lot of games and its not even out yet and there is more to come the wii u is the ultimate console and it will shit on this gen and next gen and if you don’t see it then you will later and in the mean time you have a lot of research to do lol
