Injustice: Gods Among Us Wii U box art

Warner Bros. reveals the official box art for the upcoming Wii U fighting game.

Warner Bros. has shown great support for the Wii U so far, bringing Batman Arkham City, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and Game Party Champions to the new console. They’re also working on Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game which includes popular DC Comics characters. The game will include famous characters such as Batman, Joker, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, and others. Injustice: Gods Among Us is developed by Mortal Kombat developers NetherRealms, and is expected to be released early next year. Warner Bros. has revealed the official Wii U box art of the game, which you can find below.

It lets folks know what to expect as far as control and style….sure it may not be graphic violence like Mortal Kombat, but its gonna be alot better than that MK vs DC crap! (not only that, we know what we are getting into with this game….cause on MK vs DC they announced it was going to have Fatalities but they didn’t say they were gonna be less violent than the first Mortal Kombat)

Can’t wait for this game. I’m hoping for an in-dept story mode. Regardless, what I’ve seen so far looks great. In addition to what was shown at E3, the gamepad Integration should hopefully improve the game. Not to mention the obvious better graphics.

i think this game is great! i have seen trailers for a while now …. and yes it is just mortal combat with the substitution of dc characters with amazing detail and graphics.. but hey I’m a sucker for good fighting games and every single time i play mortal kombat i enjoy it! i even enjoyed mk vz. dc.. love it actually so this will be great and looks great!

Cool. Guess I don’t have to worry about getting the worse version on PS3. I’m really hoping they move alot of the new games over from PS3/XBox 360 over to Wii U so I can have simply the best system playing them… No offence torwards those companies they did well considering the fact that Sony was 10 years late to the game party, and Microsoft was 15 years late, but leave gaming to the pros who ONLY work as game masters.

This game looks great, and no it doesn’t use the exact same game as Mortal Kombat. It uses the same game engine, but it’s built from the ground up with ONLY DC characters and environments. I also agree that they don’t, and kinda shouldn’t put “from the same creators of Mortal Kombat”, because hardcore DC fans won’t like that I’m sure. Hardcore DC fans would ALREADY know who making the game, and so would even MK fans.

I am a hardcore DC fan and I am loving the artwork and the trailers. As for the debate between MK and Injustice I have never had the chance to play MK and never wanted to so it does not matter to me if the game is based on the MK engine in any way.

As for the debate as to who is all on the cover, Green Lantern is on the top with Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Joker and The Flash. The character at the bottom of the artwork is not Dr. Doom, It is Green Arrow and you can tell it by the bow that is laying on the ground just out of the reach of the hand on the ground.

From all I have seen, this is going to be one kick-a** game. I can not wait until April to get it.
