Lots of new Nintendo Land Wii U screenshots

The latest set of Nintendo Land screenshots show off the dozen mini-games.

Nintendo has released a ton of new Nintendo Land Wii U screenshots, showing off the dozen minigames. Nintendo Land will be a Wii U launch title and will also be included in the Wii U Deluxe set. The Deluxe set includes a bunch of accessories, increased flash storage to 32 GB, and as mentioned, a copy of Nintendo Land. The game will include 12 mini games which will feature many famous Nintendo franchises, including Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin, Mario, and even Animal Crossing. The game will support local multiplayer with up to 5 players at the same time. Check out the new screenshots below.

  Ok, this means war against my sister, just so I can prove the awesomeness of me and my gamepad! The gamepad is mine, and mine only. She would love to play these games with me, until she realises that she cannot beat me still. I might have to let her win just so I can have someone to play with.
  
  That’s what sucks about little sisters, you have to let them win every once and a while, just so they keep playing. With these games though, I think everything will be awesome (like me) because these screenshots make me want to say… Give me a Wii U! Because MY BODY, WALLET AND AWESOMENESS IS READY TO TAKE ON THE WII U AND THE WORLD!

    I tried out Rayman Legends as a demo today, and the gamepad was AWESOME. But my Xbox brother told me it looked exactly like a DS with analog sticks, and proclaimed that was all it was. A DS with analog sticks.
    
    Honestly, I think he was impressed, he just has to scratch and claw at Nintendo.

      I got to play the demo recently too. I got done, turned around and there was the Xbox demo station. It really hit for the first time how ugly the Xbox 360 graphics are compared to the Wii U.

      Okay, just here me out. While you are playing single-player with the wii u, it is pretty much is a highly advanced ds, with better graphics and more processing power. However, once you start playing multiplayer, having the second assymetric screen really comes in handy. So while I believe that, at times, the system may appear as a ds of some kind, the major selling point for me will be local multiplayer.

        You can’t even call it a DS. I mean, seriously. What makes it similar? The D-Pad, Screen, and ABYX buttons. Well, EVERY console controller in this generation has the ABYX buttons and D-pads… the only reason to compare it is the screen, which doesn’t seem altogether fair.

    Don’t feel bad, it is the same with spouses. If you don’t let them win once in a while or sometimes more, they won’t want to play at all. What makes it worse is because they “win” they brag to all of your friends that they beat you Either way my body is ready I have this game, darksiders 2, ninja gaiden 3, zombiu, mario bros u, and a pro controller waiting for me at launch. Unfortunately my local Gamestop said they most likely not have a midnight release I asked them how many Wii U presales they had and I was dumbfounded. They said they only got 22 presales before they were told to stop selling…I think that is kind of sad that they don’t think they will have enough stock to fill more than that…

  Me too! This will probably be the only game I get in 2012 (w/ my deluxe console). I got Skyward Sword for Christmas last year but that was about the time my wii (it was an old one) stopped reading most discs. I’m gonna be playing that until I beat it and then stick in some Nintendo Land when my friends come over. Looks like a BLAST w/ local multiplayer.

  Don’t worry, I have been to my best buy 4 times and they still don’t have a demo and my gamestop said they weren’t even going to get one….I love Nintendo but I really feel they might be dropping the ball on getting the hype out on the Wii U. Not eveyone keeps up on this kind of stuff on the internet and other than a cardboard cutout and a few game box displays I haven’t seen much real world advertising…

Very awesome pictures, I can’t wait to give this a try. I got something so furiously mad to say though. At Gamestop, there I was, buying Uncharted Golden Abyss for my PSVita. And this guy was talking to the manager and he asked the manager, “So, how much storage will the Wii U come in? How many megabytes will it be avaliable in?” She replied with the worst type of answer I can picture. “Well you see it doesn’t come with a harddrive. It has built in flash memory(ok that didn’t bother me, it was this part up ahead) but they won’t call it megabytes or gigabytes. The Wii U is a kid console so they will call it blocks instead because children do not understand how megabytes work.” Ironically, however, right beside her was the promotional box for the Wii U.

    You should tell him, that he is right the Wii U doesn’t have Xbox graphics, because it’s way better than the Xbox. One thing I really wish now is that parents didn’t let their kids play video games til they got older, and if they do, at least let them play older games from the 80s or 90s. Only then would kids have a deeper understanding of video games.

  LOL, do not worry, a lot of these Gamestop and EB Games people do not know a lot about technology or video games (strangely enough). I asked one of them about a Wii accessory being compatible with Wii U, and she told me that the Wii U is not compatible with Wii accessories because it is portable console (I naturally tried to hold back my laughter). As for the blocks thing, blocks are another universal standard for measuring data storage, especially used to report NAND Storage sizes, but Nintendo has told us how many Gigabytes of storage and Blocks of storage the Wii U has, so this shows you how uninformed these EB Games and Gamestop people are (at least they are better than Walmart who when I asked about a PS Vita were about to sell me a PSP 3000).

    Over the summer I didn’t have internet, didn’t want to pay the bills at that time. But anyways, I asked about the gameplay for Lollipop Chainsaw, the day before it came out, to some 18 or 19 year old kid working at Gamestop. This is what he said “Oh man I don’t know I only play Call of Duty.”. Like seriously they hire these people. One question on the job app is “How much knowledge of video games do you know, and how many consoles do you have?” It appears they only hire the idiotic ones.

I love the cloth/mechanical art styles that are in several of the mini games, and the graphics look quite crisp to me. I’m definitely getting this game!

I am gonna be very honest here. I think this game will be very fun, and I can’t wait to try all of the games, and this game will be great along side friends and fam for sure. Just like Wii Sports and Wii Play are. That being side, I have said this since I heard about this game. I think it should’ve been added to the U system on launch on both versions. I honestly don’t think this game is worth $60, just like I wouldn’t have bought Wii Play with out the added Wii-mote when the Wii came out.

I do think it will be a great starter game for the console but you can’t compare this game with SMBU, or Pikman 3, or ZombiU, etc. Several other brand new games to the U are less in price, like Transformers Prime for $50, Sonic All-stars $40, and Family Party is $30, and more. I’m just saying full price for Nintendoland isn’t fair, unless you consider the fact that it has most of the Nintendo classic characters in it, and most fans would buy it at that price alone…
