German Wii U trailer/advertisment

We’ve seen American Wii U advertisements, we’ve seen the British Wii U ads, and we’ve definitely seen the Japanese one. Now it’s time for the zhe Germans to get their Wii U on. We got a collection/trailer of German Wii U ads, showing how the console works. If you don’t understand German, you won’t get much of the dialogue, but the visuals speak for themselves. The ads remind us a lot of the British ads. In fact, they might be the same with just some German voice over. It also includes a lot of glimpses of indie Wii U games such as Runner, Toki Tori 2, Trine 2, The Wonderful 101, and most of the high-profile titles as well.

why can’t the US commercials be good like this? ours are just focussed on the 10 year olds playing it, not the gameplay. #ugh

    • Superstick

The Wii U is so epic. REGARDLESS of which country advertises it. I can’t wait.

    • Destructonation

Why can’t the australian ads be like this!? Wait, there are no ads yet! WHY!? I haven’t seen one ad. Not even one. Once they start rolling out,
      NINTENDOMINATION!

      • SideScreamer

Just saying, I’ve already seen one on Channel Seven.

    • The Island Of Misfit Toys

The music on the North America is the REAL system seller

    • nice

good? the synchronisation is horrible, the actors sound like they were bored to death… this trailer is horrible for german tv

  • CRT_hater777

It’s like the Britain one, but in German

    • Madmagican

yeah. very similar to the British one, but the Germans did a better job of actually explaining what the Wii U is, the commercial literally took the time to say it was a new console

      • CRT_hater777

I think they did too..except I can’t understand what they are saying

  • Joseph

I love this commercial. It gets across how the gamepad makes gaming different. We need this commercial in english, Nintendo

    • Thepokemonmaster

I Love nintendo, But I feel like they think we are Easily Impressed

      • Kahhhhyle

You didn’t get that from the wow’s we saw when the rounded discs we revealed, or when they moved the wii mote sync button to the outside of the controller. Haha

    • [000]

Funny thing. You may have actually seen this commercial in english already. If you want it in english, just go to the first ad.

      • KINGTENDO

THEY SPEAK THE SAME LAUNGAGE YOU CLOWN.

Both nations historically spoke the same language (German), so in that sense sometimes an Austrian (in many cases, a Viennese) composer might be regarded as German. The German nation we know today and who fought France and England in both world wars was originally Prussia and several other small German-speaking states located in northern European east of France. Austria was another German speaking confederation of lands that later became the Austro-Hungarian Empire and basically controlled the southern half of central/eastern Europe, extending from Prague and Cracow in the North to the Adriatic Sea in the South. The Hapsburgs controlled it for the most part. The term ‘German’ when used to describe music likely refers to the language, regardless of whether it was a composer working in Berlin (Germany) or Vienna (Austria).

        • ridley vs. samus

i commend you on your history buffness good sir! :)

        • trev

it was britain they fought. not “england”.

  • Ninjafish

    Ah!!! Sehr gut! :D

  • The Island Of Misfit Toys

The Wii U will be a very successful system. It will gain popularity everywhere….

    Everywhere but my shores.

It will never succumb to the Island!

    • KINGTENDO

LOL ”it will never succumb to the island”

      I CAN SEE YOU RIGHT NOW,”CASTAWAY PT2”

      ”FEAR THE FEARLESS” NINTENDO

      • The Island Of Misfit Toys

The Island is a terrible place. One should never wish a new system to ever have its presence here.

A king without knowledge is a king without control.

        Control yourself.

        • KINGTENDO

LOL @ ”The Island is a terrible place. One should never wish a new system to ever have its presence here.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR ISLAND,I FIND IT RATHER INTERESTING.

HOW ARE THE DAY’S AND NIGHT’S?

  • The Detonator

its the same thing as the British one basically….
    just in German

  • Treebeard

    Sprecken?

  • [000]

Why do I feel like I’ve watched this before, only in british-english with “Sping! Sping! Sping!” instead of in german with a more quiet “Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch”?

  • !!!!!!!!

this made me ask myself does germany get better slenderman games?

  • Leeroy

    Yaay

    • Leeroy

      I meant to say Wut

  • Nintedward

    ”zhe Germans” – Major win!

They are just Remixed Euro adds. Btw , I keep seeing a pretty coold ZombiU add on TV (UK) !!!. It’s not that sweet live action one , but it’s some dude inputing a code on the gamepad whilst trying to defend for his life.

    • Nintenjoe

      I keep seeing that one!

It’s weird with Zombiu that I am more excited about dying in a game more than the winning part.

  • mcburger

why dont they show some of the third party titles

  • Naterman

Lol “chuchuchuchuchu” (takamaru ninja castle gameplay) btw I just noticed how epic the Nintendo land: Zelda battle quest music is. Only 5 days!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BloopbopBeepbop

    Really diggin the music.

  • NintendoMan :D

Just…………………Four…………………….More………………….Days…….. *In the backround (Doctor, we’re losing him!)*

  • Miguel F.

Even though I didn’t understand any of the commercial the German Ad is the best of all the Wii U ads in my opinion ;D

  • Fireheart

Ha ha at least this one shows someone killing Mario on purpose on NSMBU. The American on shows everyone playing nice, and we all know that’s not going to happen lol. I like the American commercials but come on show it how it is people.

  • ZeldaFreak4Life

This is honestly the BEST wii u commercial out there. It actually is entertaining and it shows a lotta ways the tablet will be used. Like kid is trying to look at the gamepad on mario chase & the other guy with luigis mansion, that shows that they can’t see the same thing the tablet player can. This is the first commercial to show the system as asymetric gameplay

  • link 5

    Best wii u commercial ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Elite

Wait they are English and German? Definitely the same people from the first English commercial.

  • Imperial Lobster

    “Shnookie” lol

    • theorangefish

It’s written “Schnuckie” and means the same like honey.

      • JumpMan

it’s still funny though. i thought it said “Snookie” at first and LOL’d

  • Teves153

Sigh why does England get the rubbish one

  • got my pre order

3 more days in canada! Whoot whoot!

  • Mika

I don’t really like the spots.
The voices are terrible and why do they show two different dancing games but no Darksiders 2 or something to attract Xbox or PS3 players?
They should have shown Zombi U to explain the gamepad gaming.
Why do they always focus on family gaming?

    And zhe Germans? Seriously?

  • Ben

    Well… its not terrible…

  • nintendoododo

I don’t get wii u until It’s 24th of december. I will have it for christmas present. So
only 1 month and 1 week left. Can’t wait!

    • Linskarmo

Me too! The wait will only make it more epic!

  • theorangefish

The only things they say is stuff like:
“come on start the game” “wanna watch tv! take your gamepad” “It’s vibrating”. The stuff that is written means:
“Do things that weren’t possible before”
Nobody is missing something by not understanding that. German is a bad language anyway. I am from Austria, German is my first language and I HATE IT BECAUSE IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! To all who have English as first language: BE PROUD TO !!!!!!!!!!!!

    • theorangefish

Ignore the “TO” at the end.

    • Emmanuel J.

You should be proud to speak our language…

English is a very good and GLOBAL language but i think WE ALL should love our native language also !

There is NO worst or best language… grow up please

      • Linskarmo

        Well said.

  • THE VELVET SQUIRREL POUNDER

When are we going to see some GAME REVIEWS.

    • NintendoMan :D

The Wii U releases on the 18th in North America along with all of the games on it, so not untill then, but I think you can wait 3 days to see a game review.

      • JumpMan

well, RMC, the people at IGN, NintendoLife and other publishers have their Wii U’s and games (NSMBU, NinLand, ZombiU) so we’ll see some reviews in the coming days.

  • Zeldatrek fc 3780-9021-0732

Yes very similar to the UK’s but with key differences. They have the phrase (loosely translated) Nintendo’s brand new console with its brand new controller the game pad not once but twice. We’re lucky if the other ads say that at all. There are other differences but that one is the most important.
    Das Godt, Yah?

  • Sylux

@Elite. The Germans have always the need to singronize(hopefully I spell it right, probably not) everything with German voice over, movies, games it’s always the same story they always use a German voice over. I know because Germany are my eastern neighours (I live in Holland)

Very few Germans speak English very well because the always voice over everything, only the past few years English is getting more populair in Germany, might be a issue relating to WW2, I know only 2 Germans who actually speak fluently English.

  • Johny

pretty nice… definately MUCH better than american one that only shows 10 year olds play with some games meant for kids and families ._.

  • Linskarmo

The first part was just a translation of another commercial, but I’m glad they showed a bunch of games in this one. And the music was better than that annoying American commercial dubstep, in my opinion (probably because I only listened to it once, ’cause this type of music can get pretty annoying after a while.)
