New Japanese trailers explain the details behind Miiverse and the Wii U Internet browser.

Nintendo has released lengthy Japanese trailers explaining some of Wii U’s online features, including the Internet browser and Miiverse. The first trailer shows all the aspects of Miiverse and how the new service works. The second video shows off the new Wii U Internet browser, which was recently revealed as the highest scoring HTML5 browser among game consoles. While the videos are in Japanese, it’s easy to see the features in action.

      There will be so much hype, being in america won’t help. In australia you don’t get shot in the head over a wii u at your local game shop. You do in the USA though.

        that was ps3 lol at shooting people in the head over a flop that lost 8 billion and came in 3rd and lol at the ps3 first day release sales record only to sell the least ever the very next day !!!!

          So I can really do all that while doing other activities? That is freaking awesome! BTW somebody help me out with this big problem. I have a sister (9) and a brother (6) They are coming back to live with us for the summer so i have to decide which controller sets to get. Hm?? I was thinking about getting the pro controller for them but that is only used for the games like zombi u and stuff and what not but it is cheaper with the exception of the nunchuks. But if I give them the Wii remotes I’ll have to buy the nunchuks too which slaps on 40 more bucks but is used in more games. Dang I can’t choose!!!

    I’m to happy say that as of last night I preordered the Nintendo Wii U. Ever since Nintendo’s E3 (2012), I’ve been highly skeptical of the system. Yesterday’s ND clearly was a success and showed just how creative and clever this console can be.Nintendo Directs surely are amazing. ^__^

    Also, how awesome would it be if Nintendo Network could be integrated with Steam? :O

    they will have to up the battery life because i can see myself and my wife using this gamepad for everything.i wounder if both gamepads can be used at the same time and stream diffrent internet content?

    i was going to purchase a new kindle fire but i just realized that the gamepad will be just like a tablet,so i just saved 200$ buy purchasing the fearless it’s like a 2 in one combo.my xbox live account is over in a few week’s,so i no longer have to renew my x-live with micro-soft-dick’s because the wii u online will be FREE.

    Ok tell me if I’m reading to far into this since I don’t speak Japanese. It looked like the Miiverse automatically translates the text that a person typed. It looked like to me that an American typed in English and this guy was seeing it in Japanese. Is this correct or am I just wishful thinking? lol :)

      No he was typing in Romaji, the romanisation of japanese, and it puts it into kanji, I think most Japanese keyboards use Roman letters, he was typing how you would see Japanese words if they were in English letters.

Anyways like I stated earlier it looks like Miiverse will automatically translate the text into different languages. Does this sound true to anyone or am I looking to far into the video? I don’t speak Japanese so I didn’t know what exactly was going on, but that’s how it seemed to me. Any thoughts on this anyone?

      it did look like that……. notice how the keyboard had english alphabets, but when he typed the letters was turned into japanese

      Sorry but this has gone on too long now.It’s a Japanese, he’s not flashing this “Translation” to westerners. Anyway, Reggie said you can only use miiverse to chat to people in countries that speak your language. Also, that’s romaji, a japanese alphabet that spells out the sounds in latin letters (The japanese don’t have letters, only symbols representing sounds) and then converting them to real japanese figures,which I guess is translation but no not really.

    I can barely contain my excitement. Growing up I had two TVs, one for gaming, one for my shows. Wii U Gamepad solves that childhood problem. Now if only I knew what to do with the other 8 TVs…

    So you can play wii u games without the gamepad (00:20 on the second vid)? Thats cool, like if I don’t want my friends to fight over who gets to use the gamepad, I can just hide it. Also, the gamepad comes with a stylus right? Because it feels weird using my fingers.

      Connect it with broadband…if it’s security protected there’ll be a security key somewhere on the broadband box.
