Test of Wii U screen protectors

New video shows a comparison test between the different Wii U screen protectors on the market.

It’s a good idea to protect your Wii U with a screen protector — and there are several of those on the market. Nintendo offers an official screen protector for the Wii U, but so do several third party manufacturers as well. Here’s a good comparison video between the different Wii U screen protectors on the market, and some include a Wii U Stylus as well. Sadly, it looks like the official Nintendo Wii U screen protector isn’t included in the test.

Do you use a screen protector for your Wii U GamePad? Let us know in the comment section!

    wii-U  What is it?

    • [000]

The first video game console of the 8th generation of consoles. First, there is the console, that contains the processors, memory, etc., then there’s the controller with the touch screen, called the Wii U GamePad, and it’s basically like a part of the system. The Wii U console streams an image to the GamePad. The screen on the Wii U GamePad and the tv can be used together in games. The actual console itself is slightly longer than the Wii, and rounded as well. It runs up to 1080p HD resolution, has 4 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a VGA port, and an SD card slot. Wii U is fully backwards compatible with Wii games and accessories. If you want more information, look around on the Nintendo site, or on an informational site.

What’s the best screenprotector out there?

Hori is really good, or the powera, powera is what I used, came out perfect. Just take your time make sure screen is very clean, and work out bubbles with credit card.

  • SinkyChan

I tried to use a screen protector, but the stupid card that came with it to smooth out the bubbles scratched the hell out of it. Good thing it only cost 10$.

Use the powera from walmart. This may be the first time I did a sp perfect on first try. No dust or bubbles. When I do a screen protector I take device I’m applying to into the batroom, turn shower on hot, let the bathroom steam up, this keeps dust down. Clean screen very good. After applying, work bubbles out with credit card before removing outer layer. This usually works good on everything I apply to. Got the shower idea off youtube, it does help.

Useful information, but I almost kept falling asleep by how boring it was.

The Gamestop and Best Buy one is crap.  I think it was called something like, Scratch & Protect.  Don’t quote me on the name though.  I was $9.99
