The Wii U got a lot of love yesterday from Satoru Iwata’s Nintendo Direct and one game that was mentioned but not shown off in full detail was Lego City: Undercover. Lego games have always been popular among their various adaptations, from the currently available Lego: Lord of the Rings to the upcoming Lego Marvel Superheroes and Lego City: Undercover.
Lego City: Undercover takes the familiar setting of the Lego City universe from the popular building blocks and opens it up into a full sandbox that takes several design cues from the Grand Theft Auto series. You won’t be beating hookers to get your money back here, but the sheer size of the world couple with the magic of Lego City makes it an intriguing addition to the Lego line-up. This is also the only Lego game to be published by Nintendo, so it will be interesting to see how that partnership performs.
