A 3D indie platformer, titled A Hat in Time, may be headed to the Wii U eShop.
The game is already set for release on Windows and Mac; but, in an interview, developer Jonas Kærlev said:
Without making any promises, I think it will be likely that the game ends up on Wii U. I have been in touch with a publisher that is interested in putting it on that console, and I’d be more than interested in seeing that happen!
Taking pages from games like Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day, A Hat in Time stars the Hat Kid, a young girl who fights baddies and solves mysteries. Oh, and she travels through time too.
As if that wasn’t enough, the game features a cel-shaded art style not unlike that in The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker.
A Hat in Time is developed by Mecha the Slag, which promises at least 5 hours of gameplay in five unique worlds. Full release is set for the fourth quarter of this year.
