New version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution classified by Australian ratings board

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was one of the hottest titles of 2011, earning several accolades and awards for its gameplay. Now a new “modified” version of the game has been classified by the Australian ratings board, which begs the question, will the Wii U be seeing this game soon? It’s currently the only console that hasn’t seen the game in release form and we’ve known for some time that Australian studio Straight Right has been working on a port of one of Square Enix’s titles.

A modified version could mean anything from a port to the Wii U to a game of the year edition that includes all the DLC previously released for the game. It’s too early to call with any certainty, but fans of the Deus Ex series and first person shooter fans should keep their eye on this. Square Enix recently filed a trademark for Deus Ex: Human Defiance, so one step they could be taking is to release a game of the year edition on Wii U to entice Nintendo fans to buy the next installment.

What do you think? Would you get this game if it were released on Wii U? Let us know in the comments.

loved the first deus ex… would definately get this one too.

    • val berger

yeah, go get it, it’s a blast. The first one was better though, but this one is still AAA and feels so superpolished.

      • NkoSekirei

they make it even better with alot more content then the other versions got and probably fix any issue that plague the other console version

  • Rinslowe

    Wow. That’s potentially good news…

Even though I love Deus Ex, this game will be one of the oldest games (relatively speaking) coming to the Wii U. Even though developer support for the Wii U is always appreciated, I would prefer newer titles to come out as opposed to older games, unless they offer a better value than the original game.

    • nigeriangamer

yea you are right….i love this game, got it on PC but if they gonna bring it to wiiU they have to be some massive changes.like modeling and texture more mission, modes and all DLC and new DLCs etc

  • SirDjss

if they released it for wii u i would buy it even if i have it on PC , deus ex with the gamepad it freaking awsome , that game fits the pad så nicely i can imagine :D

I played a bit of the First one but just didn’t feel it. If it’s releasing on the Wii U ill pick it up.

ur just a girly man that love to play with his barbie dolls and kens

      • Kirzan

The IQ is low in this one.

  • val berger

Man if I had known that, I wouldn’t have played through the game 2 times.

Everyone who doesn’t know that game already, just go and get it.

  • Zombie_Andrew

Oh great another game that’s already out on other platforms….for two years. Unless it’s a massively modified extended directors cut with the PC visuals, and excellent game-pad features. I’ll wait for an actual new game to come out….Especially if they charge £50 for it

    • dr scoobie

believe it or not there are some people who want it for the wiiU
who have yet to play it. (me)

      • BellsGhost

You mean idiot Nintendrones like yourself? If you really wanted to play this game, you would have gotten a 360/PS3. Nintendrones are such idiots.

        • uPadWatcher

          Shut up, Meg.

        • dr scoobie

“you would have gotten a 360/PS3″
if you read my earlier comment you would realise
i own one of these already.

and purchasing a whole console to play a single game
is hardly an intelligent thing to do.

you must like nintendo if your here, just saying. but what i dont understand is why hide it?

        • NkoSekirei

        • Gamefreak361

          Shut up, Wesley.

  • dr scoobie

i was planning on buying deus ex at one point.
but then my brother got it for christmas.
but then my brother sold it a few days later.

might pick this up assuming it actaully happens.

  • Luminal

I never picked this up on PS3 or 360 but would consider getting it on Wii U. The developers did a great job on the Mass Effect 3 port imo so I trust their ability to make a good port and hopefully even improve it.

  • guest

i own it on the computer. But i would highly recommend playing this game to anyone that hasn’t before.

    • ConCity Soldier

I never played a Deus Ex before.  My friend has the first one on PS3, and offered it to me to borrow but when he told me it was a shooter I said no.  But I might get back to him later on that game.  But I’m too busy to really game this week at all.  Heck, I’m doing homework right now, along with typing on here too.

You know the Wii U is doomed if you have to keep imagining or hoping that a game comes out on it.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/4J45XVICUKOYXRVUXIJXDSHJFQ AceJ

      no its not

    • [000]

Fine then, let’s just say that everything is coming out for it and see how that works. Every system has games that it doesn’t get, so that makes sense, right?

    • Ahiam94

      Get a life.

    • Kirzan

You know humanity is doomed when the same guy trolls comments sections of the same website every, single, day. <- Raw facts #donaald2013

      • http://people.ign.com/returnofthetruth2 ReturnoftheTruth2

That’s what they are here for right?

    • Joey Perez

people are cynical towards things they find attractive or have attributes in which they wish to possess perhaps being hopeful and wishful would possibly help you sound less mundane and stereotypical of a hater towards people who like to take part in non judgmental conversation. nintendo will be successful no matter what with the wii u be it through 1st party titles only or a shared community of developers. nintendo has more money than people consider. and its fans will pay for the few in house games they re hash. your constant interest in this forum would also suppose you keep up with the news as well only because you hope for good news thus you fall into a category of person known commonly as hypocrites.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Chris-Bingham/100000260255063 Chris Bingham

Played it on PC, love it… so I might get it again on Wii U

  • JuleyJules

This game might be from 2011 but not all Wii U owners have or wanted a PS360.  Getting to play this game would be a good thing and then it might lead to future games coming out at the same time as other systems just as AC4, RE:Revelations, The Walking Dead and others are starting to this year.

  • NkoSekirei

im definitely getting this game and many others as well

  • Gamefreak361

Never played the games, but I might buy it on steam. No Wii U at the moment since I’m waiting for better library of games to accumulate.
