The Nintendo of Europe Twitter account has just announced a new Nintendo Direct event for the 3DS this coming Wednesday, April 17th. The event will likely cover the future of the Nintendo 3DS, possibly including Miiverse integration and the UI make over that Nintendo has talked about for some time now.
No information on whether anything Wii U related will be discussed, but we’ll be watching and covering the event anyway just to give you a recap of what was said. A few weeks ago Nintendo released a video showing the speed improvements planned for an April update for the Wii U, so it’s possible we might hear more about that during the webcast. Other than that, expect Wii U news to be scarce, as it’s likely Nintendo will be holding out for E3 for any big reveals they have coming.
