Trailer: Here’s a look at Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut on the Wii U

Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut is scheduled to be released on the Wii U later this year, but here’s a first look at some of the gameplay exclusive to the Wii U. This is said to be the definitive version of the game, as when the original released in 2011, many felt the boss battles were not up to par with the rest of the game. Boss battles and refined controls are awaiting us in this version and even though I’ve already played through the story, I’m eager to play through it again.

All DLC originally released for the PC and console version will be included on the Wii U by default, so you’ll get the full experience. Let us know what you think about the game in the comments below.

What a great game this is turning out to be :D

  • uPadWatcher

I’ll be adding Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut on my Wii U library. Straight Right is ultimately one of the BEST Wii U developers in the world.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog

Not bad…. Deus Ex looks like a fine game to play on the Wii U, but the guy’s too slow!

  • Petri

I just want the release date.
I was hoping to buy it this month.
I think I only got through 1/3 or 1/4 of the game on PS3.

  • kakah

Finished on pc when it came out but haven’t played missing link. ordered for £25 but I would like to know the release date. Such a great game.

  • D.M.T

I just want a release date. I will buy it for sure

  • Quicksilver88

Ditto to others…..when is this releasing? I wanted this so bad this month and planned to buy now if it comes later this year not sure how I will fit it in as I plan to buy game and wario, pikman, w101, luigi dlc, zelda ww, mario 3d, watchdogs, rayman, and splinter cell. I am afraid this game may get lost in the mix by being delayed….we will see as it looks like they are doing a fine port with enhancements. I am now eying Sniper v2 this month but want to see how it reviews. It just seems like games like Rayman and dues ex could do so much better if released before 4th qtr because we need content now and by years end there will be lots to contend for our gaming dollars.

  • Potemkin

Was never interested in this game, but I hope it helps the WiiU a little bit.

How comes u don’t want to play the game?

      • Potemkin

This is the first one hehe

  • Jeffrey Debris

I’m awaiting this release! I never got around to buying it on my Xbox 360 or PC and the Wii U seems like a suitable console for the game.

  • Arthur Jarret

Missed it on ps3, as my wishlist is almost as large as my backlog – but this’ll be a day one purchase for me… I just recently beat deus ex on ps2 and loved it.

    • Ultranist

How can someone “miss” a game?
You have it all time on sale in the PSN store

      • Arthur Jarret

        Explaining semantics lesson 1:

With missing, I meant simply: didn’t buy it due to money constrains after other titles released, despite having it on my wanted listed (courtesy of gamefaqs).

Now I do have the cash to throw around, I’ll pick it up.

And who buys digital when retail is available at lower cost?

I want that Nintendo monitor, where can I buy one like that?

    • gimpcell

I first thought this was sarcasm pointing out the Wii u gamepad. Upon closer inspection I found myself drooling on keyboard because of the Nintendo monitor. I want one…

It’s a shame that the Wii U is getting older titles ported over. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice having more titles on the machine. But since I couldn’t wait for this to release, I picked it up of Steam the other night for £3.75 on a 24 hour sale. With the Big Picture, and a controller, I’m enjoying the game. I really wish I was using my Wii U a lot more, it’s my fav console I’ve owned/played in a long time, but it needs it’s exlusive games. Or a great turn based RPG.

The only bad thing about having ports of games from 2011/2012, is that we are being asked to pay full price for a game you can get for less then 75% of it’s original costs. This is the only thing that makes me buy less titles for the Wii U, since I can get these titles on the PC, and push the graphics to the max, and tbh, these ports don’t use anything new on the gamepad, nothing ‘ZombiU’ like, where the gamepad is required for unique controls.

    • QuizmasterBos

You aren’t thinking ahead. Publishers are a bit wary of the Wii U since Nintendo basically lost major third party support with the Gamecube (actually, more like the N64). So they are trying a bit to see if the games sell well enough. With the established userbase of Microsoft and Sony, making new third party games isn’t a problem.

So, that means that we’ll be getting better games if the Wii U versions continue to sell well (enough). The more popular the system gets, the better stuff we get, so keep that in mind.

So, support the Wii U as much as you can and you’ll get what you want.

      • Martijn Plasmans

By selling these games full price for the WiiU they shoot themselves in the foot, because gamers will look for an cheaper solution. Maybe no DLC when you buy it for 5 euro’s, but it saves you 55 euro’s in total.
(a new game costs about 60 euro’s in the Netherlands)

    • Elem187

Fanboy logic: NINTENDO HAS NO GAMES!!!
;:3rd party ports game to Nintendo:::
Fanboy logic: NINTENDO HAS NO EXCLUSIVES!!!

Meanwhile Sony/Microsoft are 95% multiplatform games…Nintendo can’t win with this double standard heaped on them by absurdly high standards set by fangirls.

      • Adrian

Multiplat is great. Wii U Version costing more than other versions is not great. I understand why it is that way, but it definitely turns me off as a potential consumer.

    • Agent721

In the US, I got Need For Speed Wii U for $29, brand new. The spiderman game was also avaiable for $30 or $40 new, when it was $60 at release. I own all the consoles and I’m using the Wii U to catch up on games I never tried, which is great as the Wii U versions is so far the best of the bunch. Despite all the EA hate, which they richly deserve, NFS Wii U is pretty damn good.

    • fireheartis1

This isn’t just a port of the PS3 and 360 game though dude. It’s a reworked game with improved gameplay and graphics built for the Wii U from the ground up. That’s why it’s taking longer for them to bring it to the Wii U. Plus by buying the old one on steam your not getting the fixed boss fights, and you know what your going to be disappointed. While the people who by this game for their Wii U will have a great time killing the bosses in new ways. It’s funny how you get all freaked out and call it a port when it is not a port at all.

      • Adrian

From the ground up? If the game already existed, that isn’t from the ground up.

  • John Raybell

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/21/ea-developing-wii-u-games-after-all HAHA So EA is after all making games for Wiiu lol 4

  • phaedruss

Why did they delay this for so long? Wasn’t it supposed to come out this month?

  • Stephen Davis

I don’t really see how this is a trailer as the title suggests, but its still some neat gameplay :P

  • Johny

    looks pretty neat

  • Elem187

30 FPS?? ughh come on…. Nintendo is going to release a whole lotta games in 60fps…. but I’ll still get this game.

  • Adrian

Was this game originally released for PS3? If so I’ll consider getting it. But not until the price drops. I’m not going to pay 4X the price for a game I can get elsewhere just for the Wii U experience. It’d be different if this was an RPG. That’s what I want :).

  • Guest

This pretty much sums up my reaction….

  • JA GOOZE

    daaaaaaanm that looks tight!
