Fans of the Earthbound series got great news this year when Satoru Iwata revealed that the game would be coming to the Wii U virtual console. Fans pleaded with Nintendo for years to put the game on the Wii virtual console, but now that it’s finally coming, perhaps we’re in for a special treat. Retailer Amazon UK has listed the game for Wii U at £44.99. What does that mean? Well, nothing we can confirm, but that’s an awful steep price for a virtual console game.
Either Nintendo is planning on releasing the entire Mother series here in the United States, or they’re planning an HD remake of the Earthbound title. Either one sounds interesting and it’s always fun to speculate. Would you purchase the entire collection if it were made available physically? Let us know in the comments below!
