I admire that about Nintendo. They do things THEIR way. :)

    • D.M.T

Exactly and the other 2 just do things to make 3rd party devs happy.

Nintendo does things that make consumers happy

      • Rolando Belber

And consumers are still not happy with Nintendo. SMH.

        • D.M.T

Which is why we are excited about Nintendo’s E3 Direct right? You make no sense.

          I wouldn’t buy a Wii U if I was unhappy with Nintendo.

        • Jack5221

Im happy with my Wii U! I got 6 games plus 7 VC games! Im going to be even happier during and after E3. Going to be getting Warioware, then Pikmin 3, then Super Luigi U (Hardcopy, not digital) then… Mario kart? 3D Mario? :D

          • RockGod

Nice Jack! I myself have 12 Wii U games on disk, 6 eShop games & 4 VC games so far plus compatability with my around 130 Wii games (combined). I plan to continue growing my collection with no complaints EXCEPT I wish more games would appear on Wii U VC like carry over all Wii VC releases asap and add new ones quicker (and GCN games on it too)

        • Arthur Jarret

Those complainers are just gamers who are bored.

But… how can anyone be bored when they have a nintendo console?

          … exactly…

        • Stephen

Agreed. They do so many amazing things yet still get all kinds of hate. But that’s how it’s gonna be. :(

        • CapnCrumbles436

How do these guys get thumbs up on a WiiU site??? Odd…

      • Chris Heskin

I think you mean the other 2 just do things to make the 3rd party publishers happy.

        • D.M.T

          yeah that

      • Sperling

The only downside in that statment is that we need some 3rd party content as well. Some of the finest games come from them as well, like Rockstar and Kojima production. I also admire what Nintendo does and, for some reason, I belive that we have bad consumers, BUT 3rd party nowadays is more important than It used to be, It’s REALLY important!

      • RockGod

I could not agree with you more on that man. Both MS & Sony love to copy whatever Nintendo does because they know it too. That makes Ninty the Trail-Blazin’… Eyebrow raisin’… sorry your avatar distracted me.

        • D.M.T

          lol awesome

    • Fred

I love and hate that they do things their way. Most of the time it works out well, but sometimes their stubbornness is infuriating like when they wouldn’t bring Xenoblade to the US and when they finally did they didn’t print enough copies (I’m still trying to find a copy and I’m willing to pay as much as $80)

It also drives me crazy when I play a game online like Luigi’s mansion or Mario
Kart with someone on my friends list and I can’t chat with them.

      • Adrian

I stalked Gamestop’s website for 1-2 months (everyday, twice a day) before I found a used copy of Xenoblade. Great condition, and like 45 bucks after discount. I got lucky though.

        • Fred

I have been doing that (although not twice a day more like most days) I found a copy 5 hours away, but I have a buddy that lives up there. I hit reserve and it asked for my credit card so I gave it all excited. It then sent an email saying they don’t have it in stock so I called and the guy said his computer says 1 in stock, but he can’t find it. I was really frusterated

          • Adrian

Yeah, when I got mine, they said I called about 5 minutes after they entered it. They said within 10 minutes of when i called other people called for it. After I called, like 10 poeple called for it that day before I went to pick it up after work.

      • RockGod

To be fair they made it known ahead of Xenoblade’s western release that it would be a very limited release exclusive to gamestop. They even went so far as to say they wouldn’t print much more than the number of pre-orders and said if you were interested that you should do just that. Only question I have for you is this, If you were so interested why didn’t you just pre-order it?

        • Fred

Because I didn’t learn about it until about 4 months ago when I started hearing people rant and rave about it. In fact, I’d never even heard about it until November and by then it was too late. If i would have known I would have pre-ordered, but I was in the dark.

          • RockGod

That sucks man… It was kinda like a test the waters type thing, to see if these type of games would sell in America. I pre-ordered all three games that operation rainfall brought to our region and they all lived up to the hype. Xenoblade became one of my favorite games ever Last Story and Pandora’s Tower are amazing also if you wanna check them out. Apparently they were happy with the sales as we’re already getting another Xeno game on Wii U, so that is a good thing also.

    • LopsidedPasta

That’s not always a good thing, though. Look at the Wii and Wii U’s online gaming structure. They’re both non-existent. Now look at the PS3 and 360’s online structures. Yeah…

      • K-MAN

Please tell me how Wii U’s online structure is “non-existent” compared to PS360’s.

        • LopsidedPasta

Online gaming is built into the PS3 and 360 very well. Each controller has a headset jack (as opposed to the Wii U that requires you to attach a headset to the gamepad, even if you are using the Pro Controller), cross game chat, parties, and just the structure as a whole. Remember the hell you had to go through to play a laggy version of Brawl online? Remember the infamous Friend Codes? Yeah. Even today, not enough Wii U games can be played online. Sniper Elite V2, NSMBU, and Injustice are all Wii U games I own that either have online versions on other consoles, or just should be playable online anyway (NSMBU). But none of them do. The 360 and PS3 are typically lag-free, seamless online experiences, full of games to play, and the Wii U… not so much.

          • HypocritesRROD

This guy is here in the wiiudaily comments section to promote microsoft and sony… RROD.

          • LopsidedPasta

Lol. I’m stating the facts. I don’t plan on getting either the Xbox one, or the PS4. In fact, I’ve never bought a single console from Sony, and only a single Xbox 360 from Microsoft that I barely play anymore due to my Wii U. Don’t try to paint a false picture of me. I’m less biased than anybody here.

          • K-MAN

you say that with ps360 controllers there’s a headset jack. but with the gamepad you don’t even need a headset to talk. you can use the microphone that’s built-in. the only thing ps360 has over wii u in regard to online is cross game chat. and that is not even a necessity. and how could you use Brawl as an example when we’re comparing Wii U to xbox & ps3? btw, I play Mass Effect 3 and Monster Hunter online on the Wii U virtually lag-free.

          • LopsidedPasta

“with the gamepad you don’t even need a headset to talk. you can use the microphone that’s built-in.” Lol. No

          • K-MAN

So I see how wrong you know you are, based on that extremely simple response. On games like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Mass Effect 3 I use the mic from the Gamepad. On games that supports voice chat, you CAN use the built-in mic.

      • Rey Hardy

Wii U’s Online is great, only thing it needs is Party Chat which is coming at some point. Once that happens its perfect.

      • Guest

This guy assumes too much. He’s delusional… RROD.

        • LopsidedPasta

          Lol

  • Big-B

I want a game about Reggie.

    • Super Buu

      The question is ”Who doesn’t?”

    • Josiah Parsons

      Super Reggie Bros!

      • Kay Wrobel

I’d call it: Fizzam U. A game where you have to run for cover from mutated Reggie-Clones that can kill your character by just staring at you for a period of 5 seconds. You fight them off by using your crowbar and using your Wii U tablet controller as a shield from the stare. The game’s cover art will show Reggie and a hand holding a crowbar. It will feature blue and orange background colors.

(the game is obviously produced by Valve)
P.S.: It is a Nintendo exclusive downloadable from the eStore for $9.99.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Called “My body is ready”. An arcade shooter where you shoot different new released video games into the body of Reggie standing on all four. You have to shoot the games when he says “-My body is ready”.

…Nah, that didnt sound like a good game.

    • RockGod

Yeah, one where Reggie goes around beating up the bad guys who won’t allow you to play your old games ;) and bringing down evil bosses that impose terrifying DRM ;) with an epic final battle against the Evil Eye that’s been watching you play the game THE WHOLE TIME! …. it sounds so familiar….

  • Metroid33slayer

Has reggie gone off the pies? it looks like he has shed a few inches of blubber.

    • incoherent1

He’s been playing the new Wii Fit U game :)

      • Metroid33slayer

LOL Previously he was playing cooking mama.

        • Josiah Parsons

Or eating too many super mushrooms

      • Fred

Sounds like an infomercial to me!

  • AlexG

this E3 will be aweasome…! only 3 days left.

    • D.M.T

I’m not too sure about that. A lot of people won’t buy Xbox One no matter what and people are expecting PS4 to be “our savior” this gen but I think that PS4 will be Xbox One with DRM, used games policies, online policicies and stuff. PS4 can still disappoint at E3 or after E3.

Nintendo can also ruin things somehow but i trust Nintendo more than those other 2 console makers so I expect the E3 Nintendo Direct to be good.

      • AlexG

i don’t care the consoles (DRM, power, specs), i’m interested in games :)

        • D.M.T

So you don’t care about devs and publishers not caring about consumers? You’re ok Microsoft not allowing you to borrow games from a friend etc.? Ok…well I do care and I don’t support their BS.

          • Clel

He doesn’t care, for a few reasons:
            1. Your reply had little to nothing to do with his comment
            2. He doesn’t want to buy their consoles anyways.
            3. He’s happy with his Wii U

          • AlexG

            :) you are right!

          • D.M.T

Wait…so he was talking about the Wii U all along? i thought he was excited about PS4 and Xbox One. Nintendo’s E3 Direct is on June 11th so in 4 days not in 3 days

          • AlexG

My UTC is 3 days! :)

          • Guest No. 3

Probably depends on where he/she lives.

          • AlexG

They do want they want (DLC, season pass, restrictions), not what we want (only play games!).

MS, Sony, Nintendo are products not services, i decide which to buy.

          • D.M.T

They should do what we want because we will pay. They should do what’s best for business and what’s best for the consumer.

Their consoles are products but they are giving you services as well. But ok buy whatever you want

          • AlexG

            Have you heard MS? XD

  • Super Buu

Just an honest question, how many directs will there be?

    • Rey Hardy

Wii U one, then a Pokemon X&Y one on the same day apparently, then a 3DS one, so 3 at minimum.

  • A SNES Day Off

Wow, this guy actually talks normal off stage!

  • Ernie Sanguyo

I”m excited for wii fit u also my whole family would enjoy it for sure.

  • Clel

“Hi Nintendo fans, this is Reggie”

    • Adrian

      Looks more like Nick Cage.

      • Clel

        Ya don’t say?

      • Justin Carlson

That picture is not supposed to be Reggie. It’s supposed to be a surprised person at Reggie announcing himself.

        • Adrian

I <3 Nick Cage. So I just thought it was funny that it looked like him.

          • Clel

            It’s a meme.

  • uPadWatcher

Kickin’ ass and takin’ names… and the CEO of Nintendo of America, Satoru Iwata, continues to print more money!!!!!!

  • Joyous Killer

    Reggie has Huge Hands…..

  • Rey Hardy

Anyone notice there seems to be a storm a brewing behind Reggie outside…its a sign.

    • Guest No. 3

He’s summoning it for SonySoft. :P

  • Kholby

    Put it in my veins.

I love Reggie. I don’t know why, but for some reason I just love him. Maybe it’s cause every time I see him I get Nintendo news
