Nintendo has been promising for some time that it would update the 3DS in order to give it access to the Miiverse and bring Nintendo Network ID’s to the handheld console. That day is fast approaching, according to noted Nintendo nut Emily Rogers. Her latest tweet says to expect the Nintendo Network ID firmware update this fall, bringing Miiverse with it.
Are you excited about this news? The possible integrations with Miiverse and StreetPass are pretty unlimited, so I’m excited to see what Nintendo will offer, especially with the handful of new games just released for StreetPass.
All that’s left for them to do now is tie games to a specific Nintendo Network ID account, instead of the console itself.
