Woohoo!!! Another AMAZING title for tHe new Wii u Eshop………

  • djvalbnc

    I have off topic questions:

    - When is 2 Gamepads feature coming?

    - When is Tvii coming in Europe?

    - Why is there no Photo-channel/App on Wii U?

    - When is NFC coming?

    - Why has Nintendo showed “drawing on the new controller” (wii u trailer 2011) if you still can’t do it as they showed?

    - How can i share fom controller to TV as they showed in wii u trailer 2011?

I have Wii U since day 1 and i am still missing ALOT of features!

    • http://www.facebook.com/Fresnokila Saul Fresnokila Rivera

I’m guessing 2 gamepads will stlll be expensive for the average consumer…though of course you could use a friends gamepad…but also remember…there are no games that use 2 gamepads yet…

No idea about Nintendo Tvii and Photo apps though Nintendo did ask consumers about ideas for new apps…I think it was on their facebook page…

NFC should be here with Pokemon Rumble U if you haven’t heard of it and probably (hopefully) Rayman if they do what was shown on their first trailer…

The drawing I assume will be from Art Academy which Nintendo said was going to release an app for it I think it was…this summer…

And the sharing thing was just to show what the controller could do I suppose…hell everything from that E3 video was just to show its capabilities…for developers to take note

      • djvalbnc

        thanks for your answers man:)

i just expected all these features in the beginning. I love my console I play every day and can’t wait for the new games but still i feel a little dissapointed because of this..

        • http://www.facebook.com/Fresnokila Saul Fresnokila Rivera

I know what you mean ha..I feel there’s a lot more to come…yet they’re taking their damn time =_=

          • YoG99

I understand the feeling. But I prefer they take time to put the right quality in the products than rushing out stuff. We are talking about Nintendo here :)

By the way, I soooo want Super Mario Kart (SNES) in virtual console. My SNES console, after 20+ years of activity begins to desire its retirement. She’s tired as h*ll :)

          • audi lover

Get right? theres nothing to get right with vc except for actualy releasing the games, theve got a library of hundreds they just cant be bothered to pull there fingers out of there ass and release the games

          • YoG99

VC games aren’t just post on the Wii U in an emulator. Some works have to be done in those games.

            Look at this: http://wiiudaily.com/2013/06/wii-u-virtual-console-flaws/

          • Magnus Eriksson

Yeah, like this console wasnt “rushed out”.

          • YoG99

That’s exactly why they need to take their time with games. I prefer a rushed console OS (don’t think the hardware is bad) with high quality first party games than a perfect console with a lot of dull generic rushed games.

          • mikel334u2

You know, it seems that some things, like a photo channel or VC releases wouldn’t take to long to prepare for the Wii U. Wii U owners are patient people, but we can’t just wait for the sake of waiting. For example, it’s not like you can mess up a game like Art Academy by rushing it out. I’m not saying Nintendo should put less quality in their games, but I’m sure they can make the same games in a lot less time. On other systems, a bunch of massive, detailed games are released every year (which is pretty quick).

        • jims66

Do what I’m just about to do, sell the Wii U and you use the money to buy a PS4 , I to am fed up with broken promises and rubbish games in the Virtual console , its heart breaking , because I love Nintendo

          • audi lover

Just buy both 400 bucks is peanuts in uk like 300pound make that in a day

          • YoG99

The only problem with PS4, it is not a Nintendo. There is no good games on that console for me. I don’t like FPS or cr*ap those kind of console is filled with. Nintendo still have the magic touch (on a game level). The only complain I could have is the games aren’t as hard it used to be.

          • Sora Morp

the ps4 isnt just about FPS you know infact sony said there’s to be less of them than on ps3

          • Tim van Broekhoven

That sir is exactely how I think of it. (well, I like a good fps at its time)

          • Mark

Or you could keep the Wii U and buy a PS4 with other money so you could get both the Nintendo exclusives, third parties, and Sony exclusives. This is technically going to be my setup, except I also have a custom pc added to my gaming experience.

          • Tim van Broekhoven

But not everyone has all the money for that like me. So I have to choose and it is always been Nintendo.

          • Magnus Eriksson

You could have them both? It still might come a few good titles, and maybe there are some you didnt try out yet? Did you try: ZombiU, Assassins Creed 3, Tekken Tag T. 2, Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2, Batman, The two LEGO games, besides Nintendos titles?

          • THEMIGHTYDOOVDE

‘I to am fed up with broken promises and rubbish games’…….

and you then choose a PS product *facepalm*

        • Ernie Sanguyo

Everyone thought it was out from the beginning but it’s not out yet :(

    • jims66

Basically , the Wii U was released to early before most of the software wasn’t
ready , and there is no excuse for it

      • Bob Charlie

I’ve been saying this ^^ as well. The Wii U was rushed, and the the only reason I can think of is because of the two consoles releasing this year.
Maybe Nintendo didn’t think releasing the same time as PS4 and XB1 was a smart decision?

        • Daniel Gonzalez

Only bad decision was releasing it without a killer linueup of games after it’s launch period.

          • Bob Charlie

Further proof that it was rushed.
A lack of games wasn’t the only bad decision; at launch Wii U had a lack of apps, a lack of VC support, stability issues, long loading times…

          • Daniel Gonzalez

The deal breaker with most consumers is the lack of games and the fact they’re taking too long to be developed. Nintendo should have saw this coming or at the very least, did their homework of developing HD games. Hopefully, they’ll learn from this and get back on track.

          • Bob Charlie

Hopefully, but who knows with Nintendo.

          • Elem187

To Nintendos credit they did have a plan for getting through the drought with a few first party titles and 3rd party titles, but once Rayman got pushed back that threw their entire first half of the year into the trash…. So at that time they decided to rearrange their entire schedule to give the console a big push for the second half of the year (Rayman being pushed back scared other third parties)

Yeah it sucks for us early adopters, but was probably the right choice for the future chances of the console.

By having a schedule with one big title a month will make the console feel far more attractive for holiday shoppers this year…. Any gaps in the release schedule will hurt them which they would have several gaps if Pikmin released in say April and W101 coming in July instead of their new release dates

          • Daniel Gonzalez

Problem with pushing back is that the consumers might not be interested by that time. Even Nintendo gamers get fed up with delays. I know a lot that are irritated and might not get a Wii U and instead go for PS4.

I’m a realist, but I have some hope they’ll pull trough. They really need to fix how they do business with 3rd parties soon.

  • XroyD

I like the virtual console but I think the SNES games are a bit overpriced, Although the new features are worth it.

  • Richard Collard

Hmm, it would definitely be nice if the Donkey Kong Country Trilogy was available on the virtual console again, seeing that Nintendo de-listed the 3 classics coincidentally when the Wii U first launched. Those games are so amazing! Having N64 and Gamecube games available sometime would be awesome too.

  • Ryan

why is the release schedule on the VC so slow? its a real shame they cannot put more into it faster as they would certainly make more money. It took years to build up a good library on Wii, now its reset again on the Wii U. Being able to re-buy your games is great, as they looks really nice and sharp through the WiiU emulator so its worth it for that.

However the lack of titles really gets me down, only 3 of my 30 or so Wii VC games are available to buy again, its going to be at least 1-2 years for the rest to appear at this rate.

    • Jamin Daniell

yeah, and where are the N64/GC titles?! i want OoT, MM & Super Mario Sunshine!

    • Jump’nShootMan

Totally agree that it should be faster. I understand that there are legal and technological constraints that go along with it, bum I’m still bummed I have to wait. I’m also disappointed I have 200 wii points left in the shop and nothing I can do with them (like roll over into eShop $$)–I don’t wanna be spending money on games that may never come to WiiU VC, especially because I really am not a fan of the Wii Classic Controller (it’s too small for me to play in extended sessions without cramps). But just look at the 3DS shop and think “That’s where we’re heading!”

  • Felix

8$ for a game 23 years old? no thx. i cant believe this prices… they still want to make that money in year 2300 ? come on, its a fuking crap game this days… nintendo troll us so hard. make a decent game instead of release 400 overpriced and old games.

    • Andrew W Garttmeyer

      THIS!

    • audi lover

8 bucks cant even buy you a mcds what you complaing about

    • Harvey Emmons

worth every penny. one of the greatest games ever made. amazing

    • Jon

You’ll spend that if not more for the game used on Ebay and Amazon. Stop being such a greedy B*tch and think that because something is old, it is worthless and cheap. This is honestly a big problem with today’s kids.

      • Gothamknight

I agree with Felix and I’m 33 years old. I suggest that Nintendo need to stop being the “greedy B*tch”.

    • Yoshiwhirlwind

Hmm… adding mii verse functionality, save states, multiple controller options, off tv game pad play, and optimizing an older game to work on newer tv sets. Not to mention the fact that pc emulators still struggle to play a 23 yr old game in its original form properly. NO that’s not worth a measly $8 at all. You know what though if you don’t want it don’t buy it.

      • Gothamknight

You’re fooling yourself if you think they put a lot of effort into making a virtual console game. Building/optimizing the game, uploading to eshop and setting up miiverse would be a batch process, unless they’re completely inefficient and stupid. At most, the only work they need to do is advertise on eshop and whack a picture on the miiverse channel. Big deal.

That they price their VC games so high and release them so slowly is the height of stupidity. I say release ALL their old games, price them better and have regular VC sales or collections.

        • Yoshiwhirlwind

You obviously have no idea what goes into game development. It’s not a copy and past situation. They don’t have a drag and drop system or a room where you press a button and magical things happen. There are people involved. There are legal issues, games like Diddy Kong Racing for the 64 can’t be released or microsoft would sue them into the ground.

If they released all the games at once many games would cannibalize the sales of lesser known titles. I didn’t even know Pilotwings was also on the snes and if that came out the same time Mario 64 came out I’d never touch it. You can’t advertise 200 games at once. Nobody is going to buy and play 10+ games no matter how short they are. Nintendo could be testing the waters to revive old ips as well.

Should they release faster? Yes. Should you be complaining about the price? I don’t think so. Like I said before speak with your dollars and when they see it doesn’t sell at that price they’ll change it unless it does sell then too bad for you. You could also wait for an inevitable VC sale that’s been happening more frequently.

    • Felix

HA. how much cost trine for example? can you even compare the quality of trine to the one of pilotwings? come on… this game should be even released for free as something like public domain, that will attract more people to wii u and those games are too old to care about money. but yea, money always win so lets pay 30$ for super mario bros 1, why not? lets buy a wii U to play overpriced (super) nintendo games. this console is now an emulator and i didnt notice?

oh wait! they included mi verse functionality, save states and off tv, then it worth !!!

      PS: NO.

  • XroyD

    Regginator Answering Questions!

  • Nintyfan

Lucky people in Japan Get Final Fantasy IV and Secrets of Mana. Give us the games we want NoA and NoE!

  • Andrew W Garttmeyer

7.99?? This pricing seems quite ridiculous.

    • Daniel Gonzalez

With prices like that, that’s why people go and download them on rom sites and use emulators.

      • Magnus Eriksson

Yup! OUYA with emulator seems to be an alternative for those who simply wont wait for something that could be released a long time ago.

        • Daniel Gonzalez

True story. Just because we love Nintendo doesn’t mean we have to succumb to their poor VC pricing with games like these. While I try not to use emulators too often, but when prices like 8 bucks for an SNES game pop up in the VC library, I’ll settle for a rom.

*waits for the usual pretendo comments*

  • Christopher Acuna

I sucked so bad at Pilotwings…I think I will pass. lol

  • $39063977

Nintendo is sucking people dry with these vc prices. unbelievable.

    • Jon

care to explain how these are expensive? When you got more added than just the game such as mii verse, off screen tv and seeing how just to get the game used, you are paying AT LEAST this price and that’s to get a game that works okish. And don’t tell me because it is old because that is a retarded excuse that some greedy asshole would make.

      • $39063977

i’ve paid DEARLY for the off screen tv and all the (otherwise) standard online features offered by the console. Nintendo is ripping us off over and over again for games that ought to be delivered by the bunch. if you feel like paying 8 dollars for a SNES game, then by all means be the victim of their plans. i won’t.

        • Jon

ok, so you are saying that they are ripping us off because they charge $8 for this game that works like it’s new with some nice features when the game that would cost at least $8 for you to get it used and have it work ok. If you want it new, you are looking at $70-$80. I honestly don’t see how this is a rip off. But from what I got from you is that you have no appreciation for the work people do to provide you with entertainment, then you are worse than those that over charge for their work. You seem to want stuff for virtually nothing and don’t care for the work that people put in. Sorry to say but the world is not free and people don’t work/offer you services for free..

          • $39063977

damn…which year are you living in? i am playing pilotwings right now on my pc for free. these games also come by the dozens on ouya for free afaik. plus, ebay gives u the actual snes cartridge, so that’s a different story. if N chooses to ignore that, then i and any other person who can google stuff won’t be a victim of their sick desires. there are people starving i’d rather give my money to the homeless than some company who has got its return on investment a gazzilion times on those games. i’ll get a couple of games, yeah, but not at that range. that’s a TOTAL rip off! u do whatever u want – they ain’t getting 8 bucks for a snes game from me. miiverse doesn’t add that much value by any means.

          • Jon

yeah, you are playing pilotwings for free ILLEGALLY. you’ve obviously been spoiled with the use of pirating for your stuff because you are too cheap and greedy to go out and buy it yourself and actually pay something to the people who brought you that game in the first place. yes it is the cartridge but it is also used, old and possibly damaged, broken or will not continue to work in the near future. Unless you want to go new, you are stuck paying the $8. it is just sad to see what people do now when it comes to games. The see someone make a game, want it and pirate it if they can instead of supporting those who bring the game to them and pretty much say “F*** you” in their face.

          • $39063977

not quite. i’ve had cartridges 30 years old that still play like gems. most if not all do play like new. different tech back then, those things can last forever. as for refusing to OVER pay nintendo for games thay’ve been selling year in year out over and over again for decades at hillarious prices as this…..who is the real victim here? have i not paid my fat share on these games back in the day? do you have any idea how many 50-pound worth games i bought in the 90s for the original snes? a crap load. i’ve payed my share, i’ve payed my dues back when they were worth it. so don’t ask me to pay again for a game that me and a bunch of others subsidised to begin with!

as i said, i will and do buy old school games to show my support and brighten up my wii u library, but i refuse to be a victim. no force on this planet will get me to pay 8 bucks for an electronic version of a 90s game. the typical rate of 4 they charge is bad enough, but i’ll make the sacrifice now and then. but where i draw the line. these games should have become free. the people who developed them are sitting in golden palaces. nough with the filthy capitalistic plans of Nintendo. money money money for NOTHING in return…just recycled stuff we’ve already paid for.

          • Harvey Emmons

you said you played pw on the pc. no disk were made for the pc. sorry . your a thief. im not. 8 dollars. whats that 15 minutes of work?
            what a fuucking loser

          • $39063977

who is the loser here? you obviously have no appreciation for money. the minimum wage in the US is 7.25 bucks. that’s an hour’s worth of work. In my country, people are migrating because of no jobs due to a collapsing economy. So 8 bucks can be a big deal for some of us. people like you though, brought up and nurtured in spoiled family environments where you don’t have to work for a living (cause that’s what you sound like), will never understand any of that shit. go split elsewhere. u can save 5 lives with 5 bucks in some countries

          • Jon

hmm, interesting argument however it still does not tell me how these are a rip off, you say you will show your support but yet, you are telling me you won’t because you’d rather pirate your games instead of pay $8 for them, yes they have been selling these on the VC and those that bought them on the Wii VC for $8 will get them for $1.50 which isn’t bad as you are more paying for stuff that has been added to them such as the gamepad and miiverse, but not everyone bought these on the Wii so of course they gotta pay the $8, that right there however is the only thing I can see where people get ripped off, people that bought it before gotta pay a little more, but whatever, it isn’t that much at all. Other than that, it is $8 if you never owned it before.

Yes people probably bought a lot of these way back like 20 years ago for $50-$60 but that was like 20 years ago. people bought movies and other stuff back then and then they go buy the same product on a different base such as DVD or whatever it is for a smaller price if not the game. The fact it that that was then, this is now. they don’t make SNES’s or NES’s anymore so for those that never got to play them can now buy them and play them. If you got the cartridge then say no to the price and hook up your old systems and play them. If you want them on the VC then take a look at it as it is a convince that you have this all in one system that can play all the games you loved as a child. Just because you bought it 20 years ago does not mean you should get a new copy of it for free just because you bought their new system. Thinking that it is how the world should be is just stupid and idiotic. Nothing is like that, Nothing at all.

          • $39063977

Not sure they are illegal btw. The OUYA offers most, if not all, snes and nes games for free via its emulators:http://www.ouyaly.com/?p=180 Same ones used on PC. and if one or two games are not avail there, then Nintendo can go ahead and charge for those. But the whole situation smells pretty bad, cause they are charging for everything.

What you are paying is a sick price for having the same digital games on the Wiiu. That’s the truth of the matter.

          • Jon

It is Illegal to use roms of games that you have not previously
owned. That is called Piracy. Unless that website has a license to
release those games and/or is paying royalties for any money they make off those games, then it is 100% illegal.

          • $39063977

so the ouya is an illegal console? cause emulators are avail right off the box

          • Jon

            essentially yes, it is illegal

          • $39063977

ok. rethink that a little, cause apparently it is not

          • Jon

lol, yes it is, if they do not have a license to distribute those games and don’t pay anything to Nintendo, then it is illegal. No matter how you do it, it IS ILLEGAL TO USE AN EMULATOR TO PLAY A SNES OR NES OR N64 OR ANY GAME MADE UNLESS YOU OWNED THE ORIGIONAL OR WHO EVER IS SUPPLYING THE ROMS GIVE ROYALTIES TO THE DEVELOPER OR IS GIVEN PERMISSION TO DISTRIBUTE. The emulator it self is not illegal, but using it to play games that you never owned or bought in the proper way, it is illegal. You can argue all you want but that fact will NEVER change.

          • $39063977

you just dont get my drift. ouya IS NOT illegal, it’s on the market, you and i can buy it and pay taxes for it. period. the console has a legal brand name attached to it and has no court disputes to settle with anyone. yet offers tons of games from the original snes and nes and advertises its emulators and games on its website. whether they pay royalties or whatever to nintendo they must be so cheap that they offer those games for free. in any other case nintendo would be suing their asses from day one, in much the same way they would have liked to sue everyone else running those emulators. for ouya to be legal, cause it is (cant believe you actually think it is not), then settlements have been made with whoever stakeholder is concerned. that settlement was so cheap that we can enjoy hundreds of games for free on a very cheap console. the price you pay dearly is to have those same games, offered free on one console, on nintendo’s own console.

    • Magnus Eriksson

      The greedy leeches.

      • Daniel Gonzalez

Those games should come in packs 3 for 8 bucks. At the very least.

        • $39063977

          Exactly. At the very least.

      • $39063977

Greedy bastards who have no ethical stand whatsoever. They even had a studio shut down for hiring underaged kids to work for them a year or so back. All about the money. Suck them from wherever they can.

        • heavenshitman1

That’s an interesting story, got a link on that one?

          • $39063977

Nintendo contracted foxconn to manufacture the wiiu. they issued a statement after the allegations saying they didn’t know about the child labour activities, and that they would carry out their own investigations back in China. have no idea what went on afterward. nonsense. of course they wanted cheap production & of course they new about the production ethics at foxconn. google it and go figure. contracting a studio/company with under aged employees is not much different than hiring/housing them urself. you can play blind afterward, that’s the only difference.

    • heavenshitman1

Not really sucking ppl dry per se. It’s just an expensive industry. Cars cost fortunes, groceries take up significant percentages of ppls wages, and joining sports clubs require most families to budget for.
Piracy is the only reason the prices seem high, cause there’s the free and illegal alternatives. It’s Nintendo’s software, it’s their right to charge pocket change for these things.

    • Elem187

Lol, nobody is forcing you to buy it. Omg choices are sooooo evil

  • The True Gamer

Aren’t GBA games suppose to come to Wii U VC?

    • Daniel Gonzalez

      No, that’s the 3DS VC.

      • The True Gamer

Awwwwww. I wanted Pokemon Emerald on a Tv. Never quite bought the GameCube accessory to do that, but now it may remain impossible.

No. I will not be getting this game. I have more interest in watching my Brita filter water than playing this “classic”. Unless, of course, they’ve updated this game with weapons and online multi-player lol.

Pilotwings on N64 next please.. I used to waste some hours playing the shooting out of the canon target game.

the funny thing is you can play these games by the hundreds on OUYA for free. so much for nintendo’s gamer empathy. what a rip off
