New Batman: Arkham Origins Gamescom trailer debuts Firefly

New Batman: Arkham Origins trailer showcases Firefly as a villain, as well as introducing a bit of backstory.

At Gamescom this week Warner Bros. Interactive released a new trailer for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins showcasing Firefly as the latest villain to join the Origins cast. Of course, Joker and Two Face make their appearances and we even get a glimpse of Black Mask.

For those who are interested in this game on Wii U, the Amazon deal we shared with you last week is still live, meaning you can get the game for $49.99 with an additional $10 Amazon credit.

I loved the Wii U version of Arkham City, but is this game just going to be more of the same? The lack of two-player mode and doing the same things that I’ve already done before make it hard for me to justify parting with my cash. But I AM a Batman fan… Hmm, tricky one! I might wait to see how it looks when it’s finished before deciding.

Lately I have been feeling the same way about this game. I was excited for it at first and now I feel like I really don’t care. Arkham Asylum was so refreshing and Arkham City was such a great sequel to that. I don’t think this game is even necessary after those two. They should have moved on from Batman and tried to make some other great super hero games.

Both of them were great games, but it is to soon to judge the quality of a game that isn’t even out yet.

Where in my comment did I question the quality of this game.

nothing in that comment mentions that this game is going to good or bad.

I’d definitely buy it if they did something a little different, even if those differences were small (such as an improved battle system). But from what I’ve seen so far, it just looks like Arkham City with a different backdrop.

    • Pikachief

Considering its a different company, I can’t see them straying too far from Arkham City in fear of messing it up :)

If you can hold out for a few months then the price will be like $19.99. That’s how all of these bargain bin games operate. The other batman is $15 online right now. Game pricing is a popularity contest.

        Good point.

  • Ducked

This version of the firefly looks kinda cheesy…

  • Jon

every time I see the word Firefly, it makes me want that tv series to come back so badly. lol

This is off topic but crytek’s new engine supports wii u. That is all.

Hope for nintendo to ask Crytek to let them publish timesplitters 4!

    That is officially all.

    • Lusunup

My god! Time splitters 4 yesyesyesyesyes!!!! If this is a success my fanboy brothers will love the wiiu!

      • david jarman

Yeah, they said if someone would be willing to publish the game they would do it. Crytek is made up of the original developers Free Radical. They said that the third one didnt sell as well, but that was due to timing. I believe now and on the wii u would be great timing.

I miss the days when a single game wasn’t released world wide at the same time cause developers spent time with each version.
