Steamworld: Dig is described as a hardcore platformer and is being developed by Swedish studio Image & Form. A few screenshots are available on the main website, but the real announcement is that the game will be available on August 8th worldwide on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Currently no pricing information is available.
The game promises to allow you to carve through the earth, discovering a rich underground world full of secrets, treasures, and terrors. The interesting thing to note is that the game contains randomized worlds, so playing through it multiple times will never be the same experience. Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think!
