Where will you be getting Super Smash Bros.? [POLL]

Super-Smash-Brothers-Luigi-06

One of the biggest surprises of the Super Smash Bros. E3 announcement was that the game will be coming to both Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. This will be the first time that the critically acclaimed fighting game will be available on handhelds in addition to the current Nintendo home console, so we thought we’d ask our readers where they plan on getting the game.

3ds-smash-bros

When Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate debuted on the Wii U and the 3DS, it featured the ability to transfer saves to and from the 3DS and Wii U version so you could continue the hunt while you’re on the go. If some sort of cross-compatibility for the Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros. is introduced, would you get both versions? Are you not interested in the 3DS version? Let us know by voting in the poll below and telling us which version you’ll be getting.

The 3rd one should have been “Neither,’cause I’m a stupid fuck” xDD

People can say, what they want! Even the worst Anti-Nintendo Fanboy enjoys Smash Bros. if he gets the Chance to try it ^^

    • Entropyguy

Eh. I can see where this game might not be a particular person’s cup of tea. No need to insult other people’s tastes. :)

    • http://about.me/overlordror Ashley King

I’ve actually never played a Super Smash Bros. game. Never had it growing up with the N64.

      • Ducked

        Say Whaaaaat?

        • http://about.me/overlordror Ashley King

It’s true. My bro had an N64, while I had a PlayStation before moving on to PC gaming.

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

Oh hey, a fellow playstation child

          • Dacoda Spalla

            I’m also a playstation child!

          • Mochlum

The Playstation was the first video game system I had, followed by Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Gameboy Advanced.

          • Wayne Beck

Shoulda punked him for the N64, then you would never had made the sad sad mistake of getting tricked in to PC gaming.

            Damn you PlayStation!

          • Ducked

Well can’t judge you then, I originally grew up with a PS1 as well..

          • http://ejercitogeek.net/ Mercurio2054

i come from super, n64, wii, now wiiu… never had a ps or xbox.

          • TCar

I have never owned a system that wasn’t a Nintendo product. Don’t plan on changing that either.

          • Mario

Same case with me. Sort of. Well, I only bought and got Nintendo consoles. But my brother bought his own PS3. But I don’t count that because I barely play with that console.

          • Mario

I grew up with the Gameboy colors.

          • Zorpixy

Are you going to at least try Smash Bros for Wii U? The Smash bros series is one of my most favorite series ever!

          • http://about.me/overlordror Ashley King

Most likely, yes. If one of our regular contributors doesn’t want to do the review, you’ll have it from me.

I mean hey. why not? XD

          • zerooooo

I think people would want a review from someone who knows the series…

          • Pikachief

I would definitely not mind a review from a fresh SSB player with no previous expectations to make them biased about characters and stages and other stuff.

          • zerooooo

There is non bias SSB players out there that appreciate the differences in each SSB game. Besides the bias doesn’t come from stages and features it come from gameplay which is why Brawl and Melee fans are so separate. Might as well have a Sony fanboy review SSB4.

          • Guest

If its someone fresh reviewing, they wouldn’t even know the differences from the other 3 games, and what is improved.

          • Mario

            Me too.

          • TCar

I would like a review that actually judges the game they are playing, not how it relates to a previous release.

          • zerooooo

How about a competitive SSB player who appreciates all 3 games in terms of gameplay to review. There is no credibility if a person is new to a game series that has already pulled 3 games out to review the 4th game. It’s like asking a person who has never touched a smart phone to review an Iphone, they would be shocked that it could play movies, music, games, go on the web, video chat, ect. and would fail to realize cheaper phone can do the same just at a different level. They wouldn’t know the level obviously because it’s their first time with a smart phone. Get the simplistic example?

          • TCar

Although it is nice to have the trained eye focusing on the game, it is also a hindrance these days. This is because of expectations. Writers, or reviewers, are reviewing these games and giving them ratings based on what they expect it to be rather than what it is. Having someone who is new to a series allows for fresh eyes to see the game as it is, not what they think it should have been. The reviewers know what they are looking for, graphical detail, sound, how it plays, challenges; same things across the board. When these reviewers start to let their personal wants get in the way of truly reviewing a game, low scores are given. This hurts the developers, then people don’t buy the games because the “professional” reviews told them not to.

On the other level, it’s nice to know what is new and what has been improved. These are strong selling points that should be expounded upon. If these people, the pro reviewers, go in with a unbiased approached each and every time, we will get the true ratings. That is all I am after!

          • zerooooo

            Read my post again…

          • TCar

Did you change something, looks the same to me.

          • zerooooo

No, you just fail to realize that a SSB player that appreciates all three games in terms of gameplay follows the series knowing there will be changes. We know SSB4 will have different mechanics, so we really don’t expect anything. We just follow the competitive scene. I went from playing SSB64 for fun to playing Melee competitively we saw changes. Especially when it went from Melee to Brawl. Brawl went from slow to a decently fast pace because we changed the metagame. We push the game to the limit even when we knew Melee offered a more technical and fast paced game. We aren’t bias toward any of the 3. Read my example about my post again…

          • TCar

I actually do realize the appreciation shown by SSB players for each and every game. What seems to be getting missed here, is that we both have opinions on whom should rate the games. I don’t like people comparing games to previous games in a series unless there is a story to be told. Fighting games don’t really have a story that crosses over, so they end up being new versions. I understand the importance of knowing what a reviewer is talking about but for me, I don’t let them decided whether I will like a game or not if they base their review on past iterations.

          • Sonic

            AHEM…

Assuming you have a wii u now… writing for a wii-u themed website, you can get your body ready with the wii version – thanks to the awesome backwards compatibility (only on nintendo)

Tip; lacking gamecube ports, use a classic controller pro!

          • david jarman

You guys are young. I started off on the Commodore 64 and then bought an NES deluxe with R.O.B when I as eight.(parents actually bought it)

          • Daniel Gonzalez

You missed out on a lot before that. :P

        • Mario

          I agree with that Whaaaaaaat?

      • mrjoedawgbrother

        Get it together, Ashley! Geez!

      • Daniel Carvalho

I grew up with a Playstation as well. Today I’m a SSB fan. Just give it a try with Brawl until the next tile comes up. You won’t regret it!

      • incoherent1

Likewise. Also never played anything in the series (also had a PS1, but not an N64), although I’d love to hear from some of the diehard fans what they love so much about it — I’m willing to give anything a try!

        • jay

Smash Bros. F***ing blows you away. I can’t believe I thought Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat were good games.

      • Sdudyoy

I didn’t grow up with the series but when I first played the N64 version I had to play more so we got Melee played it until we got a Wii, then the first game we got was Brawl, there all great games and you should try one out, I don’t think you will be disappointed, of course the N64 version is the worst of the three It’s still a great game.

        • Pikachief

Myself and I think many others would highly disagree with that last statement hahaha. I didn’t play the first one until much after melee but I thought it was great. And I thought brawl was terrible personally. Unless its with friends I havent touched it since the 2nd week after I bought it.

EDIT: And yes, I love smash bros. I’m buying both of these games!

          • Sdudyoy

I liked the original alot I just never felt it to be good as Melee or brawl because there just bigger games, the original was a great game and should be remembered as such, but in my opinion it wasn’t as great of a game as Melee or Brawl, it was the great classic that started a even greater series.

          • jay

It’s funny how Brawl haters say it’s too slow and then praise the original, which was VERY slow.

I agree that the original was way too shallow compared to Melee/Brawl.

        • Mark

Brawl was the worst of the three because the action was too slow and uneventful; plus there was tripping. Melee is highly regarded as the best due to it’s extremely fast action and competitive nature. Many people also like the original because, it’s the first game; the legend was born.

          • Sdudyoy

Melee was my favorite also but I never had a problem with Brawls slower pace of game play, and for some odd reason I’ve never actually tripped on Brawl expect on banana peels, I think brawl is a good game and it felt much more polished then Melee did to me, probably due to the longer development period but I liked Melee’s character and level selection more, plus the adventure mode was great, probably my biggest problem with brawl is that the classic mode was far more boring than the previous games.

          • Mochlum

I haven’t played Melee, but from what I’ve seen of it I think Brawl is better. I don’t know, I think it is just the larger character selection and content in general. And am I the only one who has very very rarely tripped without a banana peel?

          • Sdudyoy

I haven’t tripped on Brawl either, I like brawls larger character selection more but I like the levels from Melee so Brawl comes in a very close second, but I guess I’m blinded by a nostalgia shield because I like Melee more.

          • jay

Brawl was the best. More stages/characters/events/modes. Story mode was ridiculously good, Trophies, more Pokemon balls and items, Sonic & Snake, Smash Ball…..

          • Mark

Well, we all have our opinions. Brawl was not a bad game whatsoever, in fact, I’d say it’s one of my favorites. However, Melee was better to me. All three games are insurmountable, and that’s undeniable.

      • Starfoxguy

Ok Ashley needs to see a doctor cause she has smash-less fever.

      • Clel

I started playing Smash Bros. this very year in March, starting with Brawl.

      • jay

        unbelievable.

That’s like someone saying they’ve never played Pac-Man or Mario Kart.

      • Mario

Well, you may just have a chance to play this particular Super smash bros game once is released. Trust me Ashley, this is a good game that you should not miss.

    • James

I tried SO hard to like it (multiple SSB games), but I don’t. At all.

      • Mark

It ain’t everyone’s cup of tea.

    • Adam Fox

I’ve been a loyal Nintendo fan since 1985…and even imported a Famicom from Japan a few years ago and even I can say i’m not a fan of Super Smash Bros….I have played it on N64, GameCube and Wii…..but nothing really impressed me enough to keep playing…

      • jay

Brawl is my favorite game of all time and I’ve played almost all consoles and “classic” games.

  • bizzy gie

    BOTH!!

The first portable Smash Bros. ever made.

I’d have to be downright stupid to miss out on playing Smash bros. ANYWHERE I go.

    • Zorpixy

      Yeah buddy! Same with me!

  • Ernie Sanguyo

I’m getting both for sure :)

  • Ducked

    Both of them!

Although if I could only have one, it be Wii U.

    • Zorpixy

      Same! :D

      • Ducked

        PS1 buddies!

Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Croc were by jam.

        • Sdudyoy

I had Croc the the Sega Saturn it was a great game, can’t remember much of it though.

          • Ducked

I didn’t know Croc came out on the Sega Saturn, it’s a shame they didn’t make more of them.

          • Sonic

            let’s make it happen…
            i still have those games.

          • jay

If you can’t remember it then it wasn’t such a great game.

          • Sdudyoy

Well in my defense I was 4 and I remember just as much of it as I do any game I played around that time, plus I never could make it past the first level unlike my older sister.

        • Sonic

My sister had a PS1,and Megaman legends,
          I had an n64 and Smash Brothers…
          We always took turns!

          • Ducked

            Mega Man legends was amazing

        • jay

Sorry but those games SUCKED. Especially how they tried to copy Mario 64 with Crash last minute. the 3D was terrible. I mostly played Resident Evil and Twisted Metal on PS1

          • Ducked

How can you tell me Crash Bandicoot sucked? Crash was a whole different platformer then Super Mario 64 was. It had a whole different theme and gameplay, one no one has still done today.

      • Ducked

I got the post confused lol.

        • Zorpixy

LOL Yeah because I played Zelda as a kid. Sometimes Spyro… But mostly liked Nintendo.

          • Ducked

Yeah, I didn’t get a N64 until 4 years ago when I bought one on amazon.

After the PS1 I got a PS2 for christmas, then I got a GameCube, then original Xbox, then Xbox 360, then Wii, then N64, then PS3, then Wii U.

          • jay

Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, Banjo Kazooie are just a few good N64 games.

          • Ducked

            Okay?….

  • Zuxs13

It looks great, I hope they make a bundle for both consoles , but I wont be getting it, not a fan of the series.

  • Jon

Most likely just the Wii U version for me. I tend to play it with friends and well….the 3DS cannot really go online in the car so I’d probably be playing it with myself which isn’t as fun :P and If I am home then I’d much rather it on my Wii U than my 3DS

  • Elem187

Its mostly a console game, so getting it on a console should be the poll winner, but I’d take a wait and see approach on the 3DS…. Does the 3DS version have online play?

    • The Clockwork Being

      Both have it.

      • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

        was that confirmed?

        • The Clockwork Being

Im sure Sakurai said both were online but the 3DS was going to be focused on a single player experience.

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

            hrm… focused? Interesting

        • Zuxs13

well how else would you play friends on a 3DS with out some form of Online.

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

            locally

        • ZorpixFanGirl

It doesn’t need to be Confirmed, I guarantee that both versions will have some form of Online Multiplayer. DUH! Same developers of Brawl and Kid Icarus: Uprising, VERY SIMILAR GUI! Just look at the icons on brawl and Kid Icarus: uprising!

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

That is a good point. Same people who made the online for Icarus making this game. They have experience

  • The Clockwork Being

Both but ill be playing on the Wii U version more. I’ll have a much better time destroying everyone online with what people call the ”useless character”. Prepare to get destroyed by a push up of death with the Wii Fit trainer.. Oh and the Wii U version will have that sweet Metroid stage since it comes from a console Metroid game. Plus ill enjoy destroying my friends in HD

  • Entropyguy

I have Wii U, and don’t have a 3DS. So I’ll just be getting the one for the console I have.

  • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

Eh, it just feels more at home on Wii U, but I’ll wait and see if the 3DS version has anything amazing to offer. Also might get both just to play with friends on the go.

    • Zorpixy

I love PC, but even PC has it’s fair share of issues like consoles. So, to put it clear, there’s no such thing as master race for technology, that goes for humans too.

I’ve never heard of the term PC master racer.
            Can you explain?

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

someone who sits there and tells you all day long that “consoles suck, you should join the legion of PC gamers. PC is master Race it is already soooooo many generations ahead of consoles its not even funny. you idiiots play on your stupid consoles like they’re good games but PC is always best”

Etc… etc… it gets old fast. At first it was cute. Now there’s people who take it seriously -.-

          • JustAGuest

            Gotcha, thanks.
I like playing some games on PC more, like First Person games and Civ. But I also like having a console, that way if people unexpectedly come over while I’m playing a game I’m not shunning them by being in my PC playing a single player game.
I like that PC games generally have much faster loading times too. The GameCube was awesome about that tho, some Wii games too. Like twilight princess, how many loading screens do you recall?

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

exactly. And I mean, I’d love PC gaming if every PC could run every game, but that’s just not how it works. I’ve bought too much stuff I cant even play…

        • skapunx

i know same thing happened to me i got one at launch next thing i know 4 of my friends have one :D 3 more are getting one by the end of the month, its true that once people play it they see how awesome it is for the most part, one of my friends got one and sold it because he has a pc

        • That_one_guy99

A lot of my friends of thinking of getting some when some games come out. They decided they would get one when they played mine. :)

      • Carlos Andres Uribe

        I Read your post with Yoshi´s voice….

      • Yoshi

And yes… I will be in the game. I’m here to hush your whispers… and then lick you….

    • Squid

      Agreed!

    • Arthur Jarret

      So… both!

    • bizzy gie

      Get both.

      • Daniel Gonzalez

That only makes sense if people have the dough to do so.

  • http://www.gamesobscura.com/ themizarkshow

I really love the stylized look of the 3DS version. I doubt it will get played quite as much as the WiiU version, but then again I played PSASBR a lot more on my Vita than I ever did on the PS3. So maybe it will get played loads more.

  • Zorpixy

I am getting BOTH! I will probably play Wii U version first though. I might wait a little bit to get the 3DS version, we will see.

  • everyone

I’m curious on what the 3DS and Wii U interaction they hinted about. I will be getting both of course. My XL is ready.

    • Zorpixy

      But… IS YOUR BODY READY?

  • Linskarmo

I may get both, depending on the content. I’ll be getting the Wii U version for sure, though.

  • Lusunup

14 people said they would get niether…

    • Zorpixy

They Suck if they put that.

  • nameucanthate

Hey guys. I have a question I’ve wanted to ask for a while. What do you guys think would happen if Nintendo took a break from gaming for like, a year or so? They just stop all communication with the world. They would still develop games and manufacture consoles, but no releases or anything during that period. What do you guys think would happen to the rest of the industry? Just something I was thinking about, lol.

    • Zorpixy

That would suck. The whole industry would shut down. Nintendo is what inspires developers to make games and how games play.

    • Zorpixy

I mean think about it, NEXT gen is when fish swim out of your way! *MARIO64*

      • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

    • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

It’d be an interesting idea… Journalists would blow it out of proportion though, and it would be corporate suicide…

  • Sdudyoy

I will most likely buy the Wii U version first and then somewhere down the line I will buy the 3DS version, I will most likely download the Wii U version because every Super smash brothers game I have owned my little brothers have destroyed, there older now so they most likely wouldn’t anymore but just to be safe, and quick question why is there a ” Neither, I don’t like this series.” option? everybody loves this series!

  • Miguel Angel Barrueta Hernánde

both, probably at the same time

  • Adrian

Article title needs to be fixed to “which version of Super Smash Bros will you be getting.”
I was expecting the poll to say: Gamestop, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc..

  • gamesplayswill

“One of the biggest surprises of the Super Smash Bros. E3 announcement was that the game will be coming to both Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. ” Uh… Didn’t we already know it was coming to both platforms?

    • Zorpixy

Yes, we did! They announced it a LONG time ago.

      • gamesplayswill

        WHY YOU DO DIS WIIUDAILY!?

        • Andreas Sunde

Because the page isn’t very good anymore… Forum’s nice, though. If you want news, check them out.

  • vamos_cactuar

Hopefully Amazon has the $20 discount if you buy both like with Monster Hunter!

  • nameucanthate

i’ll be getting the wii u version if ive got the time. this will be the first smash bros. ive ever owned myself!

    • Zorpixy

Definitely worth your time, and money! Smash bros series is SO GOOD~!

    • Mochlum

Your icon is really creeping me out O_O

  • SonicLucario

    Makes sense too me

    • Zorpixy

      DUH!

    • Jon

can’t afford both…. my wallet is already hurting from the Nintendo Goodness right now…. AND CHRISTMAS HASN”T COME YET…..WHAT….. WILL….I DO :'(

    • great deku tree

I’ll get the wii u version first then, when I can afford it, get the 3ds version. smash bros on the go…..hell yeah!!

    • Guest

I’m sorry. It’s just that you misused the meme really badly :P

          • SonicLucario

That was the point, I didn’t really know what els to use, Im not up to date with memes and the Aliens meme is my fave

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

I’d have used something else ;)

            eh. I suppose.

          • SonicLucario

*facepalm* wow, i cant believe I missed that one

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

            XD oh well :3

    • Andreas Sunde

      The only logical solution
      Aliens.

    • Smartass2

      Love that show.

  • https://www.facebook.com/BlueLightningTechnicalServices Bob Wilkerson

I’ll probably just get the Wii U version but may consider the 3DS version as well.

  • Starfoxguy

To the people who say they don’t like the series, you obviously have never played an awesome fighting game.

  • MrBuney

The wii U version will be the overall better, 1080p version. Plus even if 3ds has wifi multiplayer, i dont kno anyone else with a 3ds so i wanna play wit my friendz. Plus spend $100 or just $60, easy choice……..

Plus DDP gives me $5 back plus i live in alaska so no tax on wii u gamez :)

  • Super Buu

Both for me. The main one and Smash on the go and you won’t miss out anything.

  • ZorpixFanGirl

Both! PLUS HAVE YOU SEEN ZORPIX??????????

  • Guest

Well, we know Truthteller created 28 accounts…

  • Lil J Moore

On both consoles because smash brother is that good

  • Sdudyoy

On Sakurai’s latest post it says you get rid of those annoying outlines on the 3DS version, I hated those outlines, more reason to get the 3DS version for me, still getting both.

  • Johny

    the thing is…
    1. under no circumstances, if you have a Wii U and a 3ds , you COULDN’T forgive yourself if you would get it only on 3ds
    2. the only option is to either go with “ONLY the wii u version”, or just get both.

The poll should also sort people who have both systems. because.. heck why would you get a wii u version if you only have a 3ds? (and visa-versa)

  • Mark

    Both versions FTW!

  • sdmac200600

Only the Wii U version. I grew up playing it on consoles and playing it on a handheld will make it feel like it isn’t Smash

  • Denvy

Never played a Smash Bros. game before, but this looks pretty darn good. I’ll be getting it on Wii U for sure.

    • great deku tree

if you have a gamecube then get smash bros melee it’s the best one yet. if not then get smash bros brawl for the wii. obviously they’re not as amazing looking as this in terms of graphics but they are still awesome games to play before the new one comes out.

      • Fred

Melee was the only one I didn’t like.

        • great deku tree

really? I thought it was the best one…oh well. who’s your favourite character from brawl?

          • Fred

In my attempt to make it more fun for the kids I usually pick characters that I’m not good with so that they have a chance. So out of those ones I enjoy Wario best because even though I’m not good with him, he’s at least entertaining to use.

      • Denvy

Yep, still got my Cube. Might just check it out!

  • Jack5221

SHAME ON THOSE 30 PEOPLE WHO VOTED “NEITHER, I DONT LIKE THE SERIES”!!! SUPER SMASH BROS IS LEGENDARY!!!

    • jay

      They see me Trollin…..

      • Destructonator101

        They Hatin’…

  • MARIO’SMOUSTACH

What really confuses me is why Sakurai couldn’t just port Melee to the 3DS. The reason why is that the 3DS version might hold the Wii U one back. Also, the 3DS graphics are like high quality Gamecube graphics, so it would look the same. I think it is a little bit like how they didn’t put Super Mario Galaxy on the DS, instead it had Super Mario 64, and the DS’s graphics are like N64 graphics.

    Just my opinion though…

  • BuckStud

I’m buying the Wii U version for sure, however, if they release a cool looking 3DS XL bundle……..

  • Thomas Vienna

Psst… Ashley, a bit of fact checking to do here: The Wii U and 3DS versions of the game wasn’t the biggest surprise at E3 because it was announced that they would come to both systems a long time before that. I believe it was late 2012 in a Nintendo Direct, when they first started talking about it after the release of Kid Icarus: Uprising.

    • Silent

Actually, they said they were only going to show screenshots of the game, the surprise was the trailer and the newcomers.

      • Thomas Vienna

No, what I mean is, that this article leads one to believe that the fact that SSB would come on both systems was announced at E3, when in fact it was announced much earlier.

        • Silent

Oh then, I apologize. You may be right about the bad journalism.

  • Fred

I’ll get it on the console because I want to play multiplayer and I’m not willing o buy 4 copies of the game to play multiplayer on the 3DS

  • Nintendo4life

    I will get both

  • Sander van der Ham

Really depends if the difference between the two is more than a few graphic tweaks and stages. Not willing to shell out 45-50 more bux for a few other stages.
I will get the WiiU version because I think the WiiU version will deliver a more solid and smooth form of gameplay.

  • Patrick Francis

I’ll buy both, because I have more friend’s with 3DS than a Wii U. But also it is still fun to have everyone playing on a big screen tournament style.

  • discuss

    Since I don’t own a 3DS that’s an easy choise :)

  • Mochlum

I’m downloading the 3DS one midnight when it comes out, and buying the Wii U one midnight at stores (if they have an event for it). Both have their big buying feature for me (I’d like to have a Smash to have anywhere, anytime, and one I can keep at home and bring to friend’s houses and play when home,)

  • Steve Anatala

I like how there are more people who don’t even like the series than there are people who are getting it ONLY for the 3DS. I’m getting both, but will play the Wii U version far more.

  • Destructonator101

Who wouldn’t wnt to be able to play SSBB4 anywhere? 3DS and Wii U combo!

  • RandroidRampage

I still can’t believe people don’t like the Smash Bros. series, it’s like the best thing ever pizza.

  • Pikboss

both but I am more excited for the Wii u version

  • The Green Hylian

    People don’t like this series?

  • 00EpicGamer00

Wii U only for me :3
I just can’t imagine how you’d fight on a tiny handheld. For some reason, I imagine it being uncomfortable. But, that’s just me.

Also, I think the people that voted “Neither, I don’t like the series” are trolls xD. Okay, maybe not. Everyone has different likes, but still.

  • Humza

    49 people are cod fanboys

  • http://www.youtube.com/hedeno1InEnglish Hugo Delgado

    Only Wii U, but that’s because I don’t actually have a 3DS :P

  • Jeffery02

I know that this is a Wii U focused site, but I’m still kind of surprised by the lack of 3DS-only votes.

  • Re4wii2008

The 3DS version is going to be awesome but the Wii U Version to me will be the main version of the game for me! If they don;t get released at the same time I really hope the Wii U version comes out first mainly because it need it more and I just can’t wait to see how it looks in 1080p!

  • Maxwell Baumgarten

Well, I would like both. I used to almost exclusively play my 3ds, like all the time, but lately I’ve liked my wii u more. I think having the portable option for when I’m out and about waiting for an hour or something, but I would probably play my wii u more. If I HAD to buy just one, it would be for wii u. I probably will just buy 3ds version used several months after it comes out.

  • Kenshin0011

Both for sure, and I wanna pick them up at a midnight launch, hopefully a Best Buy in my town has one!

  • $41809923

    WII U FOR SURE

  • Aamir Islam

Its called “Wii U Daily” so this kind of poll is a little odd…

  • companyoflosers

weird how theres not a “only 3ds” vote option. guess it doesnt matter for me though since i only own a wii u and not a 3ds. even so id only get the wii u version most likely. i feel like playing my friends in smash should be an all day affair and i cant see it being very comfortable to be sitting around on a bunch of 3ds’ wen we could all just play on the console. or at least between the 3ds and wii u since i have a few friends who have one. would be cool if those people could use characters the wii u host hadnt unlocked yet so people arent restricted to an incomplete roster just because one person hasnt completed the game.

  • Miguel

Im gonna be honest I voted both but I’m a little bit more hyped for the 3ds version.I can just imagine now.Me playing super smash bros against players around the world or with my friends and having so much fun with it.I have the pikachu edition 3ds xl.Hope another color comes out though.

  • Wiiluigi

    Both

  • Your money

Even though SSB is meant more for home consoles, that won’t stop me from buying the 3ds version. I will have to say that for a portable system, it looks impressive.

  • Julio

I’m getting both versions! The reason why the 3DS too is because I want to play on the go. So yep Wii U and 3DS combo.

  • http://www.Idontownawebsite.com/ Govnah ShinySkiddo

i probaly get both but not at once i like to play smash on the go

  • Tom Greene

I personally think ssb tried and true gameplay mechanic for this supposed next gen fither is a joke…boo! !..why have namco co-develop the game if it’s not going to be a fleshed out fighting game…I mean come on the stupid smash ball returning for your special attacks (down vote)..lol..no great story mode ( smh )……………

  • Sami Rautio

Ofcourse for both :DD some of us go to work to get money and with money you can buy things :)

  • Goheels999

Got to have it both ways! Hoping for DS download play so my kids wont be fighting over the 3DS version during car rides. Wii U version will be the king though.

  • Steve

I want it for both. I’ll use the Wii U version at home. And then, while on campus, the 3DS version.
