Warner Bros. announces Injustice Ultimate Edition, leaves out Wii U [Updated]

injustice-header

[Update: Ed Boon has confirmed that the Wii U version of the game is not coming via Twitter.]

When Injustice: Gods Among Us for Wii U launched earlier this year, many fans were upset that several major DLC pieces for the game were left out of the Wii U version. Eventually a few were announced, but it was clear that both Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios had priority for other consoles and PC. A game of the year edition version of the game would be the perfect chance to make this up to Wii U owners, but it looks like we won’t be getting that either.

Announced earlier this morning is the Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, which includes all the DLC released for the game. Here’s the info from the press release:

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition will include all original game content as well as all downloadable content (DLC). Valued at more than $120, the game will be available at a suggested retail price of $59.99 for PS4™ system, PS3™ system and Xbox 360, $49.99 for Windows PC and $39.99 for PS®Vita.

As you can see, there’s no mention of Wii U in there, despite the fact that the game was originally launched on the Wii U alongside the other consoles. We’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for more information on this and will when we have more concrete information.

  • Ducked

Can’t really blame them, the game sold horribly on the Wii U. But they should still give it another chance, the price cut and Zelda Wii U is really moving systems.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Yep. And who is to blame? Nintendo did a horrible job to convince people to get this console. And they still are, even one year later. It looks like they are picking up some steam in certain areas, but the over al impression is still bad. Thats sad, because Wii U is concideraly better now than in the launch, especially after the recent updates. But it got a bad reputation, and thats more difficult to change than convince people from the start.

What can Nintendo do now to attract people to buy the console, and make them interested in 3rd parties aswell as their own products? If they did something brilliant NOW, we might see some 3rd parties return to Wii U within a year. But thats 1/3 into its antipicated lifespan. And I dont know what that brilliant move would be? 3D Mario World? Mario Kart? Smash Bros? Will those titles convince people about the importance of the pad? Besides Off-TV play? Maybe N. should release a cheap version of Wii U without the pad and with Pro Controller instead? How much cheaper would it be?

      • Ace J

one year later??? i didn’t know the wii u came out in early october

        • Magnus Eriksson

Ok, I give you another month to prove me wrong…

          • Gregg

Gaming takes time and patience. It’s “not a sprint”. 1 month is a blink of an eye. I’ll see you next year. Hell, I’ll see you in January. But… the reality is, I love my WiiU, NOW and Enjoy it very much.

          • Ace J

            ok thanks

        • Gregg

Google this word: Estimate. Or, go get a GED

          • Ace J

            no

      • Guest

Nintendo has done a GREAT job to improve the position of the WiiU. It’s a far better system now than it was at launch.

        • Magnus Eriksson

Didnt you make it through my text?

      • Donaald

Nintendo isn’t the only one to blame here the game shipped with no online, DLC or WBid while still being sold at full price, who’s gonna buy a gimped up game on purpose?

        • Magnus Eriksson

I think Nintendo is the only one to blame here. This is because they lost support from 3p’s, and that there fault alone.

          • Donaald

So you’re saying that just because Nintendo lost third parties, the ones left have the right release gimped games, charge full price for them and rip everyone off? That doesn’t even make sense, dude.

          • Magnus Eriksson

No, what would make sense is that they stop porting games on the Wii U.

          • Elem187

Good. We need less ports. I can’t say for the life of me I care for them. I buy Nintendo systems only for exclusives.

      • DJKeens

Who’s to blame? Warner Bros. And the rest of the companies who release a multiplat title and remove major components including online play and DLC when it hits Wii U.

It’s not Ninty’s fault when an inferior third party title is released. The power is there, the online is there, what more do these companies want?
I’m sorry, if the title you’ve released has better support, online play, and all the DLC on other platforms, then you know full well how your product is going to sell. That’s your fault, not the users and not Nintendo.

        • Magnus Eriksson

Everyone besides Nintendo is to blame… You know deep within thats wrong?

          • DJKeens

Actually I fail to see how Nintendo can be blamed. When BLOPS 2 released, did Nintendo tell them not to release DLC that was available on competing platforms? Would that affect unit sales? Same with Injustice.
I don’t buy into the whole “what’s a Wii U” theory. It seems clear to me that “Wii U” is a just as discernible as a new console as iPhone 5S as a new phone. For that matter, wouldn’t sales of XBox One suffer if the name was so critical?
Third party publishers are largely to blame for the dismal figures in their products yet they blame the console and the company for their inferior products. The reason they want a larger install base? In a pool of 20 million users, at least 1 million will probably buy their inferior products. Easiest way to make 20 million bucks. It’s not about creativity, capability, or cooperation. It’s about making the most with as little effort as possible. That’s why we have FIFA such as it is and why it sold like poo biscuits.

          • Magnus Eriksson

The problem with your argument is that Nintendo dont have 20M users with their Wii U. They have less than 3.5M users. And thats their fault, and thats the main reason they dont get any support. After they announced Wii U in 2011 the market stock fell drastically. Back then they had their first hint about what they had to do. But they didnt do it. Instead they released a flawed product to the market without taking any responsibility at all. It was relrased with two mediocre games. NSMBU and Nintendo Land together with some ports of old games, or games in series that never been on a Nintendo console before. Oh, yes and Zombi U of course. It was basically carried by other parties, but unsupported by Nintendo themselves. No wonder they left that platform. Next game released by N. was Wario Ware, another mini game collection. After that Pikmin3, this summer and a “remake” of a Zelda game made ten years ago.

If Nintendo shall survive, they have to do something drastically. And they have to start with admitting that the fault is theirs alone.

          • DJKeens

It’s not a flaw, it’s a major point. When you have 20 million users, you can release subpar games. Impulse buys alone will probably help buffer your costs. On Wii U, you don’t have that luxury because you have to please a higher percentage of the install base in order to make a profitable return. So the choice is to either take a risk on investing in development to make a product that will sell consoles or cutting development time. Guess which path is usually taken and guess what the final sales figures are? Its not rocket science. Ninty is known for taking their time and releasing polished titles. Zelda has always been a highly rated game and we all know it could be a while before the next installment is released. WW was a smart move considering all the “HD remake” craze. You’ve got Wonderful 101 that just released as well as Splinter Cell, Wii Fit U and Wii Sports Club on the way, COD, Sonic, Batman, AC4, and Watch Dogs which sound like UBI is actually working to make a GOOD port (they also released all DLC for AC3 on Wii U I might add.), Mario 3D World, a myriad of eShop releases, virtual console releases, the same could be said for 3DS which is stomping on everything, X, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, and Zelda in the future and that’s only what we know. I’d say they’re doing plenty. I’m not sure exactly what else you need them to do. Publishers need to stop crying about low sales figures and install bases especially if they aren’t doing anything to help solve the problem: ie make GOOD GAMES.

          • Magnus Eriksson

Ok, the world wont end because we disagree. I hope you are right by the way.

          • DJKeens

I think I’m very right however I’m not stupid. Whatever sense I make does not mean anything will change. Its unlikely that whomever is to blame will ever step up and fix the problem.

          • Magnus Eriksson

Nah, dont think you are stupid. Didnt get that impression.

          • prettypinkpanacea

DJ, I agree with your last two comments. Unfortunately, the reality is that the gaming industry shifted considerably since the early – mid 90’s. It is more business oriented, which means it is also more strategic and political. When you have two giant players, like Sony and Microsoft, the market essentially becomes bi-polar. These two giants have enough staying power to create an informal collusion that (a) minimises their risk of market loss, (b) maximises their exposure to the 3rd party developers, at the expense of their opposition. In this case, Nintendo is the opposition. Don’t get me wrong, I love Nintendo and I have been a fan since way back in 1989. It’s just that when placed in a particular position in a bi-polar marketplace or industry, 3rd party developers are almost always going to sway to Microsoft or Sony, at Nintendo’s expense.

          • DJKeens

Agreed. Not for the better IMHO. Its why the market has become saturated with annual releases and microtransactions.

      • Ducked

According to Nintendo the gamepad costs $130, that would most likely bring it down to $199, which would be a major steal!

        • Magnus Eriksson

It could be a wise decision. Dont you think? Wii U ends up around the same price point as the Wii. That could possible attract alot of buyers.

          • Ducked

Absolutely, the same thing has came to my mind in the past. It be $50 cheaper then when the original Wii came out. They just need to add a headset jack to the Pro controller first

          • Drugs

Can probably be fixed with another update but as of now you can only navigate the eshop on the Wii U with the Gamepad so that would present another huge problem

          • Ducked

Yeah, they’d have another system update out first.

        • Elem187

Silly idea.. If you want third party developers to design software to work with your unique hardware, every single user has to have the same hardware.

It’s the reason why Microsoft is including a kinect in every xBone system. Developers aren’t going to target their software to a small subsection of a user base… It’s why the first kinect didn’t really have any software.

      • leo

Give me a new metroid with tv commercials and i’ll be good

    • bizzy gie

WHAT?! Sales isn’t even an excuse at this point. Vita is selling horribly too yet it gets the Ultimate Edition?

      • Magnus Eriksson

It still sells way better than the Wii U. And it got a competitor. Wii U is making competition against last gen consoles.

        • D.M.T

PS4 will compete against a last gen console too (Xbox 360) so dont act like Wii U is bad for competing against last gen. And Xbox One will compete with PS3 as well and no Vita doesn’t sell way better than Wii U that’s a lie

          • Magnus Eriksson

PS4 got PS3 in the last gen. What do the Wii U have? Wii is dead now.

          • D.M.T

And what’s your point? Wii is not dead yet lol. 3rd party devs are still making games for Wii and the Wii is still selling and Nintendo is still producing Wii consoles so no its not dead yet. Wii is dead when Nintendo says so.

          • Jacob D. Taylor

I agree. Magnus is evaluating under the same assumption Nintendo did which damaged them severely, that being all Wii owners would be crapping bricks to get the Wii U at launch. Which was not the case. Sony and Xbox are making a similar assumption. Not every PS3 and Xbox 360 owner are going to rush to the store to get a system at launch. Xbox 360 and ps3 sales of this year are in no way a reflection of upcoming sales either. Why do you suppose people are buying these systems still? Because they never had one and the first HD grahpic video game systems draw attention. Now we’re on to gen 2 HD which isn’t that big a jump and costs alot of money. I predict less than average sales for both of them.

        • Rich Garriques

wii u sells better then vita dont lie. i dont know who those 7 boneheads are liking your comment.

        • http://skoruppa.jogger.pl skoruppa

          No it don’t. http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41539/Global/
          PSV – 26,676(-9%)
          WiiU – 33,964 (+62%)

Oh and dont forget software sales

          PSV – 84,741(-17%)
          WiiU – 127,587 (+4%)

oh and PSV sold 5.7M units (in almost 2yrs), WiiU only 3.5M (not even 1yr) but still menage to sold a lot more of software. So how bad exactly PSV is? But still Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is comming to that console. Why!?

      • greengecko007

Vita was* selling horribly. It’s about as good as you can get, considering Sony doesn’t have anything to compete with Pokemon, one of the major driving forces for Nintendo handheld sales.

        • D.M.T

          It’s still selling bad

      • Ducked

True, Vita sales in the west are embarrassing

      • Lethal_Doze

VITA has probably many times higher ratio of 3rd party games bought per console, that’s why.
Sony said that averege Vita owner bought 10+ games already

        • Elem187

But there is only 10 games on the Vita.

          • Lethal_Doze

no there are many more, more than on Wii U

    • Jacob

I own the Wii U version.

  • Sulama Traoré

This shit is getting out of hand.

    • Elem187

The game was terrible…. Why would anyone care about it?

Btw it bombed on Xbox and playstation as well.

      • Sulama Traoré

What I meant is the third party support on Wii U. It is REALLY getting out of hand.

  • DeedsGaming .

    predictable

  • Leo

    What an Injustice!

    • JB

I see what you did there…

    • Rich Garriques

      indeed!

  • darkcreap

Most likely it is because they saw that the game did not sell well, so
it is not worth it for them to make this edition. The problem with WiiU
right now is that there are not enough systems sold. I wouldn’t worry
too much about WB not releasing this edition on WiiU. I mean, it is a
problem, but the reason is only bussiness-driven: if WiiU starts selling
better, they will support it better in the future. WB has brought some nice games to WiiU, like the two Batmans.

    I have been seeing the
post numbers on Miiverse (as an orientation) in game communities and it
seems that, right now, darker games have not sold too well (as a general
rule, you can find exceptions). My intuition, which is debatable of
course, is that there is not a lot of audience for those games right now
on WiiU. The communities that get the most posts are usually (but not
only) Nintendo games. probably this means that the audience for those
games is yet to come. I guess that a lot of the people with a WiiU right
now are mostly Nintendo fans (me included).

    Hopefully, when
Christmas comes, people will start buying more the WiiU and it will have
a more heterogeneous public. I myself love Nintendo games, but I also
have other 3rd party games like Assassin’s Creed, Darksiders and I am
looking forward the next AC, Watchdogs and the next Call of Duty.

The problem is that, while that moment comes, we are going to see these bad
news everyday, but I think it will change when the WiiU install base gets bigger.

  • tybyrd93

I just want them to update the eshop with the remaining DLC (Martian manhunter, zatanna, man of steel skins, etc.). Still no news on when or if that will happen

  • D.M.T

The Ultimate Edition is the same as the original one but with DLC included in the disc. This is not a big deal, i will just buy the original version for Wii U later on.

    • Donaald

Good, and don’t forget to miss out online and mobile cross play

      • D.M.T

I don’t play online with strangers and i dont care about mobile cross play. Go troll somewhere else

        • Donaald

I’m not trolling, I’m stating a fact, you retard, if you want to support bad business practices, then I won’t stop you, damage control all you want, the rest of us will have our principles intact.

          • D.M.T

You’re Donaald, the biggest piece of monkey crap this website has ever seen so yes you’re a troll. You’re right, I shouldn’t support bad business practices but here’s the thing: if we support bad business practices then we will continue to get inferior ports of games or maybe developers will have a change of heart and give us better ports next time just because they made a lot of money but if we don’t support these bad business practices then publishers won’t put games on Wii U anymore because of low sales even though its their fault that the Wii U version sold horribly. It’s a lose-lose situation for us so what i’m gonna do is just buy the games i want from now on, I wont care if other versions are better.

          • Guest

I’m sorry you feel that way, hey look ea is calling you back to bed.

I’m sorry you feel that way, hey look ea is calling you back in bed. I rather be the biggest piece of monkey crap than being you, a butthurt sheep in the herd.

          • D.M.T

Your first little insult was lame and the second one didnt even make sense lol. You’re the one crying about the game not having online and i’m the butthurt sheep in the herd? Lmao!!! Oh and I see you gave yourself a votes up, you signed out and voted for your comment. That’s pretty pathetic dude.

          • Donaald

LOL so funny that you needed to get out of the topic to damage control, the first statement wasn’t an insult because it’s true, right? If you couldn’t understand the second insult then you should go ask your educational institution for a refund, exposed.

          • D.M.T

I didnt get out of topic, I just replied to your little insults. No your first statement isnt true and your second one is just you describing yourself, not me. Now do us all a favor and disappear. This website was the place to be when you was gone, dont ruin things again with your stupidity.

          • Donaald

How am I a sheep in the herd if when I say no to bad business practices? Kneeling to poor practices and accepting it it’s being a sheep in the heard, but of course a fag like you would never conceive such a simple analogy, oh and if you want me gone, make me!

  • TaintedXGamer

I finally get a wii U and they still do this bullshit? and they wonder why there’s not much sales on wii u? If they just put the Same Stuff that they put on EVERY Other Game consoles/Pc they support, it Wouldn’t Be a F***ing Problem!

    • TaintedXGamer

I mean Seriously, Do We Have To Put petitions To show That despite the low numbers .(Where the fuck do they get their statistics From Anyway?!) We Still Care About Getting the Same Treatment as PS/Xbox owner/Consumer of Same the Game/product/DLC/Bonuses. If they Even bothered 2 Make a Wii U Version in the First PLACE? :/

      • Shaise

Shall I start a petition? But it needs to surpass like atleast 100k

      • Donaald

Word, man. I mean it’s not like they’re paying more than us, we’re all paying full price.

      • leo

        i feel the same

  • JB

That’s interesting, even PS4 is getting a version. In any case, I’m glad I waited. The game is barely 6 months old and it’s already getting GOTY treatment. That’s some Capcom ish right there.

    • Elem187

The game wasn’t that great. How in the hell can it be considered for GOTY? It’s barely an 8/10… Wait that’s too kind, 7.5/10

  • http://www.nouvelleorange.com/ NouvelleOrange

I bought the game last june along with a Zombie U Wii U Edition, New Super Mario Bros Wii U, Nintendoland and Assassin’s Creed III. After 2 months, I had brought back New Super Mario Bros. Wii U and Assassin’s Creed III for credit at EB Games and kept Injustice Gods Among Us as well as my digital version of Nintendoland. Until now, it was pretty much all I played on my Wii U (Injustice). It’s a very good game.

  • Hulkamania

man.. this is bullshit… the support is nearly as bad as what the Gamecube had… maybe worse… these developers need to stop trying to kill off the Wii U console and make some damn games for all gaming fans… not just some. I hate politics in the gaming industry. First, EA and Rockstar wants to kill off the Wii U by not supporting the console and now other developers are following suit. This is what happened to the Dreamcast. Hopefully Nintendo and Sega can hold the Wii U together with exclusive games… I truly hate how the gaming industry is operating now… its a disgrace.

    • Shaise

Wait??? I thought Gamecube had good 3rd party support. We had Metal gear solid twin snakes, which was exclusive. Gamecube was on par with technlogy, I wouldn’t see any reason for a 3rd part to have stopped support then. I thought some 3rd parties stopped since the Wii.

      • Ice Climbers

3rd parties haven’t supported Nintendo since the N64. In fact, they supported the Wii more than the N64 or the Gamecube. The amount of support is still abysmal. 3DS seems to lack 3rd party support outside of Capcom and Sega.

    • gusto

LOL, grow up. 3rd parties don’t want to kill off the WiiU. Their games simply don’t sell on the platform. Why invest money bringing a game to a platform when you won’t even break even on that platform. This isn’t a charity, it’s a business. Think for a second.

  • david jarman

I call bs cause even the vita has a low install base. Plus you gimped our online and dlc.

    • Donaald

      And WBid

  • Daniel Gonzalez

They never said it wasn’t coming to Wii U. So until there is official word here, I think people should chill out and not assume just yet.

    • Shaise

Yeah, I agree, I mean, wait for a confirmation!

    • Donaald

      They just did.

      • Daniel Gonzalez

They never directly said it. You’re not a good troll. :)

        • Donaald

          How is “@noobde
RT @GamefaMahdi @noobde INJUSTICE (Ultimate Edition) coming Wii U? EB: No.” Not directly enough, moron?

          • RyuNoHadouken

this article was updated, hence the [update] in the title…when Daniel typed his response, the Tweet from EB wasnt there….moron

          • Donaald

Actually at the time I replied to him they had already updated the post, hence why the “They just did”, so get your facts straight, douche.

          • Daniel Gonzalez

That doesn’t change what I said earlier. So the earlier post stands as I said. Deal with it.

          • Donaald

So Ed Boon confirming it’s not coming doesn’t change the fact that you were wrong? LOL exposed!

          • Daniel Gonzalez

Thank you. Someone was paying attention. Trolls don’t.

          • Daniel Gonzalez

There was no update when I responded to you. So no, my post stands. That makes you the moron here. Continue to argue it all you like. Now come back when you can post like an adult. Good day. :)

          • Donaald

LOL Then how come I saw and other people saw it, you were the one who called me a troll yet you’re “the adult” here, cool story bro, why don’t YOU come back when you stop being a hypocrite.

  • Matt

This sucks,I was really looking forward to this title having an Ultimate edition for Wii U.

  • William Short

Not just the Wii U also the Xbox One as well. Gottta get the full story

  • Gregg

It’ll be announced next week or somesh*t. Chill people. Regardless, it’s just a game… This kind of thing happens on all platforms, just because it’s the WiiU, doesn’t mean.. OMG!!! DEATH GLOOM! ARGH! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Colin Tosh

Its not coming to Xbox One either. I said its too early to jump the gun regarding publisher stances on next gen systems. Given how many people who are buying PS4 instead of XBO I bet it becomes a trend on that system as well.

  • Jared Garcia

While I’m sad about it, I understand it’s most likely due to sales figures.

  • Justin Bailey

I cant help but admit this is Nintendo’s fault. Now, don’t get me wrong I’ve been a Nintendo fan since the eighties but I’ve come to realize that our relationship is very much like Ike and Tina’s. With me unfortunately playing the role of Tina, because Nintendo has done me wrong, so many times and I always take it back when it comes apologizing and promising to change. The day I brought home the Wii U I was so excited, thinking Nintendo has finally caught up with the times. It’s in HD, it’s going to be online, etc.. I pop in Nintendoland, only to find out it’s local multiplayer only. What a huge disappointment. This game would have been so much more awesome if it supported online multiplayer. It could have built a strong online community with in the Wii U that showed third parties online is a must have feature.

Here we are almost a year later and Nintendo still hasn’t made a significant effort to support online in it’s own releases. What makes us think that third parties are willing to waste time and resources on a market that hasn’t even been built.

To be fair, its not coming to Xbox One either, at it is coming to PS4.

But I agree with you for the most part!

      • Justin Bailey

Yeah, it not coming to Xbox One is pretty odd, but I wasn’t just referring to this game. As we all know announcements of games or game features not being supported on the Wii U are pretty much a weekly if not daily thing. It’s hard for me blame the third party companies when I see no effort from Nintendo to fix this. Their response to their systems problems is making new first party games and while these games definitely make the system more appealing, they don’t fix the issues that everyone in the industry has with the system. I really wish they would wake up because I want them to be on top so bad!

It is not really Nintendo’s fault when it comes to things like this. The problem as I have said isn’t really the developers, its the publishers. The publishers are the ones who decide which platforms a game ends up on and for them its all about money and return on investment. The reason Arkham Origins does have multiplayer is because WB didn’t consider it worth the effort due to the Wii U’s small online community. At least its cheaper to compensate and its getting pretty much all the DLC plus season pass. I don’t think Assassins Creed IV and Watch Dogs will be gimped either. ACIV on Wii U I think will support the companion app if Ubisoft is correct

          • Justin Bailey

I can understand why you disagree because I really love Nintendo too but it’s not just one publisher we’re talking about anymore it’s most of the major ones in the industry. Even Ubisoft has said they will see how this season goes on whether or not they continue to support the Wii U. At this point there really is only one place to point the finger. I hate to say it, but it looks like the shoe is fitting Nintendo very well.

          • Gabe Hoffman

Remember how EA said FB3 could not run on Wii U but then they admitted it could. Remember how they said they will support Wii U again when the User base grows? Activision is doing a pretty good job on their end at the moment. The only one I can think that does not plan on supporting Wii U is Bethesda and they have hardly even made a game for Nintendo platforms. How is it Nintendo’s fault exactly? You see there is this stubborn belief that third party games don’t sell on Nintendo systems because Nintendo cannibalizes all the sales. With Wii U some of their delays were intended to let third party games have the spotlight. They were trying to show that third party games could sell on Nintendo systems and they were expecting third parties to actually carry them more through the early year. They didn’t think devs/publishers would back out so soon. You also don’t understand how Nintendo works. Nintendo is not really allergic to change it is that Nintendo prefers to go more lock step with technology. They didn’t really do online with Gamecube because back then Broadband was still considered something for rich people and wireless internet didn’t really exist either. And where did I say I love Nintendo in my previous post?

          • Justin Bailey

First off I apologize but i just assumed you loved nintendo seeing how we are having a discusion about nintendo on Wiiudaily.com and you’re saying don’t blame nintendo.

You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that EA will support Wii U again when the user base grows. Well that’s how most third party companies feel about the Wii U right now. No matter how you slice it. It’s Nintendo’s responsibility to fix this.

Nintendo is the oldest of the three companies in the console business and it’s currently in last place. That’s a big shame. In fact the only reason Playstation exists is because Nintendo refused to get with the times back in the N64 days. Their constant neglect to the cries of the gaming world have allowed new companies like Sony and Microsoft to establish a dominant force in their market.

Nintendo is the only you can blame for Nintendo. This is not their first rodeo. They are veterans in the industry if they fail i’t’s because they aren’t doing anything about it. Every console release I get excited and a say to myself this the game changer this will bring Nintendo back. The feeling is similar to watching my favorite team at the beginning of the season. Sadly every time just like my favorite team I see them go back to their old habits and think to myself, here we go again. Oh well maybe next time.

Oh and I never heard of Nintendo intentionally delaying their games to make room for third parties if that is true the only question I have is, why didn’t they just go ahead and release them when the third parties bailed on them?

    • Donaald

What about the new Wii Sports, isn’t that an effort to adopt online?

      • Justin Bailey

Yes it is but like I said it’s not significant enough. Nintendo should have embraced online back in the GameCube days. The original Wii sports not having online was a missed opportunity. As it stands now I’m willing to bet Wii sports is still the most played game on the Wii. Now just imagine if it had online capabilities it would have established a huge online community with people challenging each other across the globe. This community would have made a huge impact on console sales when the new Wii Sports arrived.

Nintendo still has sufficient influence and resources in the industry to once again become number one but their stubbornness to adapt to the changes of the industry is really holding them back.

        • Donaald

Yeah, I agree. They are very out of touch, specially in the west.

    • Shigeru Miyamoto

      hahahaha! so true

Though it’s not coming on the Wii U, I hear it’s not coming out on the Xbox One either..Whilst the article doesn’t mention the Xbox One i still think it’s strange that they’d skip both the consoles.

  • tlopuse

Honestly, Nintendo no needs 3rd parties. Only with 3 games we kill the competition Mario (is coming), Zelda (2014), and Pokemon. Since 1985 I am with Nintendo, and never I’m going let them down. They are the most humble company in the world, and like Rockstar, Nintendo makes perfect games.

    • oontz

WOW Zelda is coming out in 2014??? Do you have sources for that date or are you just wishful thinking?

  • fireheartis1

Well looks like I’ll be buy the original game used then and not at full retail like I was planning. This crap gets on my last nerve. I have to pick and choose what games I buy right now because of college, but that’s ok I’ll just buy it used and screw Warner Brothers over like they screwed us over.

  • NkoSekirei

i really dont care im fine with the regular edition not gonna waste any money on a ultimate edition i rather put my money on other games

  • leo

this is total bullSh**t. You can’t pull the whole install base excuse on Wii u ! They are porting over to ps4 and that thing hasn’t even come out yet.

  • leo

I have a dream…That one day Wii U owners will get the same equal treatment that Xbox and play station owners have.

  • Is_Mort

I have a dream, when Nintendo will not gimp their system or screw over 3rd party developers so their gaming systems would be worth buying.

    • GamerWho

Nintendo gimped their system? Injustice tan best on Wii U. Go away troll.

  • RandroidRampage

Why does Wii U have to work and earn to get games, dlc, and exclusives!? The other consoles didn’t do anything and they just get stuff. Anyone seeing a Cinderella pattern?

  • Spike Ashford

So I guess the natural response would be: Why the fuck not? I already have Injustice, but I know people holding back to get the complete edition. Nintendo fans like complete games, not DLC. Release this and it will sell better than the first release.

  • Elem187

Injustice was a terrible game…. Why would anyone want to buy a second copy??… Its nothing more than a money grab by the publisher looking for fish. Anyone who double dips on this mediocre game deserves to lose their money.

  • Petri

I don’t really care about this game, played it few times, and haven’t touched it since.

But couldn’t they at least put it on eShop, its not like they are doing any additions to the game.
Unless of course if Wii U does not have all the DLC’s.

  • Steve Rick

Seems like Injustice didn’t sell well as expected. So they decide to lower the risk by releasing on the few. Never liked Injustice anyway.
