Best Buy is now taking pre-orders for the new Wii U bundle with New Super Mario Bros. U and Luigi DLC.

For Nintendo fans who haven’t jumped on the Wii U console craze last holiday season or any time this year, Best Buy currently has the new Wii U deluxe bundle available for pre-order. This bundle includes New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U instead of the standard Nintendo Land that came with the console before this bundle was announced. The price is still set at $299, but you get one of the best games on the Wii U to date.

This bundle will replace the Nintendo Land bundle that has been available since the Wii U launched, but if you’re still interested in that title you’ll be able to buy a standalone copy, or on the Wii U eShop. The bundle will go on sale on November 1st.

well, I got my console and games already. Looks like a great bundle. :D

  • Kevin Malone

    Great gift for the kiddies.

(Note: Not saying it’s just for kids, in case anyone gets that impression. Already have a Wii U with Luigi U for myself.)

    • Fred

But you’re right I love playing Wii U with the kids. We have 2 piles of games 1 pile that I play with my son and daughter and the other pile and my wife and I play when the kids go to bed.

  • Ducked

This is a very good value. $299.99 gives you a brand new console by Nintendo that will be making games at least 5-7 years. Plus you get two games, New Super Mario Bros U, a very fun 4-player cooperative game. And New Super Luigi U, a very challenging platformer. Not counting the 32GB, the gamepad cradle, and the console stand.

With Super Mario 3D World, Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Wii Party U, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Lego City Undercover, Sonic Lost World, Nintendo Land, and Wii Fit U all being out this holiday season. I don’t know why anyone would pass out on this. Not counting the 3rd party support out for Wii U owners as well. Call of Duty Ghosts, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Bat Man Arkham Origins, Lego Marvel Superheroes, DuckTales Remastered, Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut. (not saying 3rd party games sell Wii U’s, but it does give something for Wii U owners to buy)

Plus in 2014 you got Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros U, Donkey Kong Returns: Tropical Freeze, Yarn Yoshi, and more unannounced games on the way.

    I hope this sells well

  • demann78

    This is a great deal

  • demann78

    I love wii u

  • Truthteller

Another subjective article. “Wii U console craze?” Man, these articles by King scream “I HAVE BEEN PAID!”

  • bizzy gie

    Soon, Wii U will sell.

  • The True Gamer

I still think its $100 too expensive

    • alex toschi

That’s complete nonsense. You get 80 dollars worth of platforming fun on a system well worth the 300 dollars.

      • The True Gamer

I have my opinion, and I’m entitled to that. I don’t like the gamepad, and probably would have bought a Wii u already if it didn’t have one. I think it should be $149-$199 without the gamepad, because that’s about as much as it should cost. I don’t think it should be $100 cheaper than a ps4. I personally don’t think the specs justify it to be that expensive, and only the gamepad raises its price that much,

        • readypembroke

A Wii U without the GamePad is like a animal without a brain., it won’t work properly. Many games use the GamePad for the main controller like Lego City Undercover, Zombi U and Rayman Legends.

          • The True Gamer

I realize that it is currently essential to the Wii u, I just wish their was a reversal in policy, like the 2ds. I am one of the many people who enjoy Nintendo games, but am not willing to pay for a Wii u over a ps4. I plan on buying a Wii u before 2020, but not until it’s under $149. I just don’t feel that the Wii u gamepad appeals to me.

          • creepcube

mate they cannt give it away,if you love nintendo you ll buy it ……sony ps4 is 440 pounds with a game and camera nearly double the price of a wii u ,xbox one is more ……

  • readypembroke

I think this picture I drew on Miiverse shows somebody who will eventually see the New Super Mario Bros U bundle.

    • The True Gamer

I know art is subjective, but that’s freaking terrifying.

      • readypembroke

I didn’t intend to make it terrifying!!!!! :D

  • Sanka Muzikant

Finally, both of my criterias have been met:
    1. Drop the price by at least $50
    2. Add any mario title
They actually added $80 worth of title
This is definitely time for me to buy.

  • mch

Wii U sth for EVERYONE :D

  • Mipaol80

This really is a great buy, where I live to purchase hard copies of New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U would cost $90 on top of the $300 for the system, granted the gold detailing on the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker bundle looks pretty cool but by going with this bundle instead one can pick up Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD for $50 and still save around $40 over getting the Zelda bundle and the Mario/Luigi titles as extras.
