I’m surprised they are not bringing Mario Kart

    • http://about.me/overlordror Ashley King

Yeah honestly this line up is better for the 3DS than the Wii U. I mean there are some Wii U games there I want to play, but many more appealing 3DS titles imo.

      • Jon

It seems to be that way for a lot of stuff when it comes to the Wii U and 3DS.

      • Magnus Eriksson

Something tells me that they do this on purpose. They want to save Mario Kart 8 for some strategical reason.

        • Jacob T. Plante

I think it’s still got several months before it’s finished.

        • Jacob D. Taylor

Oh absolutely, with the exception of Bayonetta and regrettably now DKC:TF all of these are holiday releases. Nintendo feeds off hype as much as Need for Call of Assassin’s Battlefield so they’re showcasing their upcoming sales. These expos aren’t a giant fan appeaser, they’re marketing strategies to generate sales. Creating hype at a huge event for games like Smash Bros or even Mario Kart where that intrigue will wear off by the time they actually release wouldn’t benefit them. This isn’t E3 or Gamescon where the point is actually press and future titles

        • The True Gamer

I’m assuming their trying to get a set frame rate on Mario kart 8. The karts moved pretty slow earlier, and they said something about trying to speed them up.

      • 504HotBoy

        I ruined my whole post.

Cant wait for the day where I’ll actually get to visit these events rather than dream about it.

    • Lil J Moore

      This

    • Jacob T. Plante

Me too, I’m only 14 & I have hardly any freedom when it comes to playing video games… XP

    • Jacob D. Taylor

      I hear ya

  • Magnus Eriksson

Just a question to all here! Which game rocks your boat he most? The new Sonic or Mario 3D World? Until recently I would have said Sonic. But after yesterdays Ninty Direct its more like a draw. I will buy both of them I think.

    • Lil J Moore

Mario easily. Nothing against Sonic it’s just Mario is my favorite fanchrise. I’m still getting Lost Worlds.

    • https://twitter.com/Onyzora Ony

Wii U : Mario 3D World, Sonic Lost World and Zelda WW
      3DS : POKEMON! and Zelda
      :3

    • Niknique

For me it’d probably be Mario. If it weren’t for the Co-op in 3D world then they would’ve been tied. Hopefully they make the game so that we don’t run into each other too much :P I know the Co-op play in Sonic Colors wasn’t too good.

      • Magnus Eriksson

Think it will be possible to make a drinking game out of this? Last person who grabs the flag in the end need a shot of tequila :D

        • Marcus Navarro

Won’t be as devastating as the Pokemon Drinking Board Game

          • Magnus Eriksson

A tequila every 350 seconds? Give me an hour and I will be dancing on the tables :D

Edit: Oh thats not seconds, its much faster :D A tequila every minute then. Yeah! That will do it! :D

          • Marcus Navarro

Nah. Even faster. It’s its own board game and you’ll be taking shots as fast as you play the game. I haven’t seen anyone make it through the game yet, bar a select number of strong ones and even they were absolutely blasted.

          • Magnus Eriksson

Had drinking games in Nintendo Land in its release. But that kind of worn out quick.

          • Lil J Moore

Never ever finished that game. not once. Always passed out

          • Magnus Eriksson

            The drinking version?

          • Lil J Moore

            Yes

        • ICHI

Genius! I wont have to play drink along with Dallas anymore.

    • Marcus Navarro

Sonic Lost World, no doubt. I really liked what I saw, but I’m still set on getting Sonic.

      • Magnus Eriksson

Yeah, Sonic got me blasted away at a first glance. Mario took some time. The kitten-suits was a bit in the way at first. But the last look kind of caught my interest, even though it looked fun all the time.

    • Nintenjoe82

Mario without question, thought it long before the new trailer. Sonic looks like a step in the right direction for Sonic but one step out of mediocrity is a long way from the greatness that has been in every single 3D Mario game.

      • Jacob D. Taylor

Dude…. totally agree. In fact, probably couldn’t have put it in so few words as well. Mario games are constantly WONDERFUL, and this one looks to do the same. Sonic is quite often terrible with a few exceptions and this one looks to finally hit GOOD. Definitely in the right direction but ‘rocks my boat’ definitely Mario.

    • Nintenjoe82

      Cat vs. Hedgehog

    • Nicolas Eddowes

I say Mario for sure, and then Sonic. At least those are my plans

    • Zuxs13

I would say Wind Waker, but its already out, so then i would say nothing does. Well maybe next year there will be something good (Wii U i mean)

      • Jon Turner

Well, technically it isn’t… physically. It’s already out in Japan, and it’ll be out here in America and Europe in two days time.

    • ICHI

I was not blown away by Mario at first but, kept the faith and yesterdays trailer really looked fantastic. Sonic though I am really interested in, which makes me worry as everytime sonic team look as though they are getting it right something feels unfinished. Don’t get me wrong there have been some good sonic games over the last few years (colours and 4) but I really wish SEGA would lose the lock on attack, wheres the skill!

    • Mitch Hall

They’re tied for me, though Mario may have a VERY slight edge. The new trailer made it look really cool.

As for 3DS games, though? POKEMON!

    • Jacob T. Plante

Super Mario 3D World of course!! But I’m also very surprised at how great Sonic Lost World looks too! :D

    • Zombie Boy

Both. Mario for multiplayer, Sonic just for me!

    • RyuNoHadouken

      Nintendo’s holiday lineup sucks…smh

  • CaesarGood

    aint nothing new, so what?

    • Marcus Navarro

They brought Pokemon X/Y and A Link Between Worlds

  • Zuxs13

“loads” of wii u games? lol One is already out and 3 of them are not even first party games!

    • Marcus Navarro

The fact that they brought 3rd party exclusives should be a good thing, should it not?

      • Zuxs13

I never said it wasn’t, but the fact that they are bringing 6 games and 3 of which are not even theirs, hardly makes it a “load” of Wii U games. Its pretty sad.

        • Marcus Navarro

Umm…lemme correct that 1st statement for you.

“I never said it wasn’t, but the fact that they are bringing 6 games hardly makes it a “load” of Wii U games.” That’s better!

          • Zuxs13

not really corrected. I was pointing out the fact that it say, Nintendo is bringing games to the show, but half of them are not even first party games (yes i know they are producing them) but it seems sad that they do not have more of their own to show!

          • Marcus Navarro

And my rebuttal was that the fact that Nintendo’s showing off some 3rd party games is a good thing. So what Nintendo’s not showing a lot of their stuff right now? Just that fact that they acknowledge that they have 3rd party support is good. Hell, the fact that Nintendo’s now ADVERTISING 3rd party products for their systems is more than they have EVER done to get 3rd parties on board! So yeah, the Nintendo games can wait.

          • Zuxs13

I would call those games 2nd party games, since they are producing them. But 3rd parties should take their own games to the show not Nintendo. They should have more games than 3 games. That is pathetic.

          • Marcus Navarro

“But 3rd parties should take their own games to the show not Nintendo.” I know that I may appear to believe the contrary, but I agree with this statement in every single way possible. Trust me. However, any time that Nintendo doesn’t kiss ass, the rumblings about “Nintendo not supporting 3rd party” become more audible. It’s because of the perception of Nintendo being xenophobic any time they don’t talk about 3rd parties that I think that Nintendo advertising games that aren’t from them is a good thing. Agreed?

I also agree that this is not a big # of games Nintendo’s bringing(as exaggerated by Ashley), but this isn’t necessarily a paltry # of games though. It’s actually the typical # of games any single game company showcases at an event such as this one. You’re combating hyperbole with hyperbole.

          • Jacob D. Taylor

Yeah, if they are producing it that means they are developing it, and if they are developing it, that means their team can’t be working on something else, and if that team can’t be working on something else then they can’t really bring any other titles can they?

  • SonicLucario

Im So excited Im going with me Link cosplay! I cant believe its already next week!!!!

  • springer85

LMFAO!!Legend of Zelda HD rehash ONLY sold 35k first week in Japan!!!LMFAO!!!
This game was supposed to be a system seller yet in entered the Japan charts at number 7 and Wii U sales hardly increased from the previous week!!
The Wii U is so dead!!
When will Nintendo learn?NO BODY gives a cack about a lame HD remake of a 10 year old game and then charge full price for it!!
When Rehash 3DS Mario also bombs the Wii U will be dead!!
    LOL

    • Guest

      2 days worth of sales.

    • dee

      2 days worth of sales,

      • Jon Turner

The sales for ZELDA WW HD in Japan are only at 30k for a reason: it’s an HD remake and HD remakes don’t usually sell that well, That and as you said, it’s only two days worth. The WiiU’s time is not up yet there. In America, this will make a bigger splash since ZELDA is more popular here.

    • Zuxs13

When you go on a rant, which you always will, at least get your facts straight first.

    • therealmackay

LMFAO!! GTA V Online – Epic Fail Springie 85!!! Hardly anyone could get it to work and many of those who lost their game saves probably wished they hadn’t!! LMFAO!! Sony & Microsoft are doomed, doomed I tell you!!! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!! LOL

  • Wiiluigi

I am going to try my best to get there. Must see 3d world and tropical freeze.

  • Jacob T. Plante

900 Articles!? Dang Ashley King are you the only one working on this website!? XD

  • classicgamer20

No smash Bros :( I was really excited to be able to try it at comic con

  • Jacob D. Taylor

So for the people stating “this really isn’t that many,” or “Nintendo is stupid and doesn’t know what their doing because those games aren’t even first party,” please consider this. When EA shows up and ALL they have is Battlefield, please eat your words. When ubisoft comes and has Splinter Cell, Skylanders, Rayman and Assasin’s Creed, that’s only 4 so still under par. When Rockstar shows up with nothing but GTA, suck it and when Activision shows up with giant Tootsie Pop that says “We Love Games” and has nothing else to show for it, please shove it down your throat, stick and all, and please stop talking

  • Squid

I’ll already have Wind Waker and Pokemon when I go, so I can have more time with Mario and Sonic!

  • The True Gamer

I may be a little tough on Nintendo ever since the Mario games went towards the casual crown on handhelds, but 3D World looks really incredible! Too bad I don’t actually have Wii U….
