Nintendo Land gets price cut from $60 to $30

Nintendo permanently halves the price of the Wii U launch title.

Nintendo has cut the Wii U launch title Nintendo Land in half, from $60 to just $30 bucks. Nintendo Land was the very first Wii U game to launch, since it was bundled with the Wii U Deluxe set. Nintendo recently booted Nintendo Land from the Deluxe bundle, replacing it with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U.

Nintendo Land was is to the Wii U what Wii Sports was to the original Wii. It features a bunch if mini game designed to showcase the system and its new features (such as the GamePad).

The price cut is a permanent cut from Nintendo and is valid for North America only for now. Nintendo will likely cut the price in Europe and Japan soon. The price cut is also in effect on the Wii U eShop, where the game can be downloaded for $30 right now.

What do you think of Nintendo Land so far? Was the right game to showcase the potential of the Wii U? Let us know in the comments section!

It was time for this game to go down in price. Although it is relatively fun, I wish my Wii U would have come with Mario Bros instead. I almost never play Nintendoland. So, to me, it’s definitely not worth $60. It’s also hard to say that Nintendoland has the same amount of content and development time as say, The Wind Waker or Pikmin 3.

  • CEObrainz

Nintendo-land was a good idea, but those ideas would have been better as independent games. Halving the price seems to be a good idea, but a better one would be to put the game in every bundle similar to Wii Sports.

    • D.M.T

The point of Nintendo Land is to promote future independent games you talk about and to showcase the Wii U´s potential. For example, there´s a Pikmin mini game in Nintendo Land and that gives you a taste of how Pikmin 3 will play on Wii U. I´m gonna buy Pikmin 3 for Wii U because of the mini game in Nintendo Land.

      • CEObrainz

I know that, but I was trying to say I would rather have a separate Metroid and F-Zero, one which I’m sure will come eventually, rather than mini-games. It does it’s job of showing the potential of Wii U games, but it should have been bundled with every Wii U to further reiterate that….

      • Jack5221

Kinda off topic – But get Pikmin 3. Its fantastic!

      • handsomeguy

The mini game, has nothing to do with what the game is actually about.

        • D.M.T

Story wise no it doesnt you´re right but gameplay wise yes it does. It shows you what can be done with the Wii U Gamepad

          • LevenThumps

I agree. Nintendo Land wasn’t meant to be a game that focused on story. It was meant to showcase the possibilities of the WiiU.

          • Andreas Sunde

Gameplay wise it’s rather dfferent, actually. Unless there is a control option I didn’t find. But you should still buy Pikmin 3, it’s amazing.

      • greengecko007

The Pikmin mini game on Nintendo land is nothing like playing Pikmin 3. Putting the completely different control schemes aside, you don’t have to worry about completing objectives in a days time and your pikmin respawn indefinitely in Nintendo Land. You also do not switch between characters for increased time managment, and you don’t collect items in the world.

  • slade6alpha

It was fun while it lasted. Would have been more fun if I had friends to play with, but still wasn’t worth $60.

    • CEObrainz

This is one game that would have benefited from some sort of online multiplayer.

      • Magnus Eriksson

        and dlc.

        • CEObrainz

I’m not a big DLC person so for me…not really, but I do see the benefit of adding new mini-games and stuff as DLC.

          • Magnus Eriksson

I agree, most cases its just greedy. But a game like Nintendo Land could justify it quite easy. Bigger levels in Mario Chase, more in Metroid etc.

          • rp17

Besides how awesome new levels would be, Nintendo did leave out Pokemon, Earthbound, Star Fox, etc. Those would make great mini games

          • Magnus Eriksson

Oh, yes. Wont fight about that.

  • Lusunup

putting in online would of help sell units don’t you think?

    • Link of all time

online would be cool for the Metroid game.

      • Josiah Parsons

And for the animal crossing game and the luigi game and the mario game and the…

        • Cena’s Smirk

          yoshi game?

          • jjbredesen

Am i they only person that thinks that Zelda multiplayer would be cool? not in the campaign, but like in a arena with skyward sword sword fighting and stuff like that?

        • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

it wouldn’t be very good for animal crossing or mario… It’d lose a huge fun factor.

    • Brett Butler

I bought a replacement nintendoland game for 10 bucks on amazon like 2 months ago.

    • Nintedward

      Simply put, yes.
PC, Xbox and Playstation gamers make up the majority of todays gaming world and they’re all addicted to online. Now I don’t posses a PHD or anything but if I was Iwata, I would be trying to integrate online multiplayer into as many games as possible to try and tap into the people who like online multiplayer.
Call me crazy, but I think Nintendo’s major fault at the moment is their own stubbornness towards online multiplayer and things such as voice chat. Miiverse is perfect and revolutionary, but they still need more online multiplayer…

      • Fred

starting next week wii sports online!!!

        • Michael Ocampo

Do you happen to know the official release date please? I’d REALLY like to buy tennis DAY 1!! Thanks! :D

          • Fred

Your Wii U will download it automatically and the first day is free
November 7th if you’re here in the USA I think that’s Thursday

          • https://www.facebook.com/BlueLightningTechnicalServices Bob Wilkerson

I also believe it is November 7th in Europe and Japan.

          • Fred

Your Wii U should download it automatically on Thursday

        • Maxwell Baumgarten

They seriously fucking should have made it a physical game with all sports and bundled it with a white wii u with TWO wii remote pluses and the gamepad and 2 nunchucks. Seriously, that’s what sold the original wii, and since it’s struggling, wtf nintendo, they release it as download, WITH each sport separate and shit! no parents ever going to find out! it’s going to be a disaster. God dammit.

      • Mipaol80

I disagree, online play honestly hasn’t been high on my list of must have game features lately because I’ve been burned too many times by developers who cease online servers for their older titles effectively turning the game into crippleware.

As a collector of classic games I expect the games in my collection to remain playable for decades to come, so when I buy a game and later the online play it was centered around ceases because the servers it ran on are no longer active, effectively turning what little single player functionality the game had into a training tutorial for an online experience that doesn’t exist anymore, that makes me feel like I wasted my money.

Many of games today that rely on online play either for primary game play elements or DRM will be useless crap ten years from now, which of course doesn’t bother the publishers, they get their money regardless. Maybe that’s why their is this push towards digital distribution, so people won’t end up with a stack of game discs a decade from now to remind them of all the money they wasted on games that were only playable for a few years.

As for Nintendo Land it’s a great party game, fun for family nights, the single player content is good for a casual game session when you just wanna play a quick game of something to waste 15 minutes, and I think the price cut will sell it to holiday shoppers who are purchasing the Zelda and Mario/Luigi bundles.

        • Michael Ocampo

I agree with the crippleware point but it’d just be nice to have online as well.

          • Mipaol80

Agreed, I love online content, just don’t make the game around it in such a way that should the online support cease, the game becomes useless.

        • darkcreap

I partially agree with you. For me, it is a problem if the online dies if the game needs the validation even for the single player experience (which basically pisses me off). But regarding online multiplayer, there is sometimes no solution. There are games that require servers for online multiplay and it is reasonable that they will shutdown eventually.

What isn’t reasonable at all is that they force you to online just to control you and render the game unplayable because such an unnecessary requirement.

        • Maxwell Baumgarten

Thank god nintendo games are always good forever

      • darkcreap

Indeed. There are a lot of situations in which multiplayer online adds great value. Not only in competitive mode, like in shooters and racing games, but also, for instance in platformers. I beat Trine 2 Director’s Cut with a cousin of mine. We couldn’t do local multiplayer (which a lot of platformers do) because he doesn’t live nearby.

I think more games should support online multiplayer to provide a similar service as local multiplayer but in the distance. It could be applied to new titles, Virtual Console games, etc.

It would not be a substitute for local multiplayer, but it would be a nice way to provide multiplayer experience for people that, for geographical reason’s, can’t play in the same room. Of course it depends on the game. Maybe some games can’t work well if the two or more players aren’t in the same room. Voice chat would probably be essential in any case.

      • Magnus Eriksson

        Call Nintendo stubborn? Your troll!!!

      • greengecko007

I have been playing a lot of Nintendo Land with my friends lately, and when I told them it didn’t have online multiplayer, the general response was pure shock. Every one of us agreed that Nintendo Land is the perfect type of game for online multiplayer.

    • RockieOllie

This is how much I would drop for Wii Sports Club. Now if that game also came with some of the Wii Sports Resort games with online support like the wave race. I would gladly drop 50$ for it.

    • Sdudyoy

I don’t personally care for online as It’s usually a one time use thing for me, but Nintendo really needs to realize that alot of gamers these day’s do like it and games like Nintendo land could really benefit from it, Miiverse would be the perfect hub for joining online games I wish someone could host a game through Miiverse and then it would appear as a post so that anyone in that community could see it and join, it would really help with the abysmal amount of players on games like Assassin’s creed III, and it would teach people who haven’t heard of/ don’t really know how to use online gaming.

    • Nathan Minsk

I would love to see Seananners and his friends play mario chase and the ghost one

    • like2nap

      Yes. Yes it would.

    • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

but a LOT of the Nintendo Land games just wouldn’t work online! You’d just be randomly chasing a mario around without any real help from teammates. Or you’d suffer from people being jerks in team stuff. The only one I could see going online is Metroid blast, which I have no problem with. Luigi’s mansion MIGHT work… maybe zelda as well. but all of them would still lose big fun factors.

I just kinda want DLC with more levels/areas. I’d buy it.

      • greengecko007

There’s this wonderful thing called a friend list, which you can use to play with friends instead of whoever you happen to get randomly matched up with online. In game voice/text chat would also be a given.

        • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

I dont have many friends on my list that I know though… I mean, I suppose it would work, but it’d lose something special

  • D.M.T

Nintendo Land really showcases the potential of the Wii U. I never see people praising the graphics of Nintendo Land or praising the gameplay which is weird because Nintendo Land is a good game. Nintendo Land has better visuals than a lot of Wii U exclusive games and this game shows you exactly what the Wii U Gamepad can do with the second screen.

In other words, Nintendo Land takes full advantage of the Gamepad´s screen and the game tells me why this tablet controller is the future of the gaming industry.

    • handsomeguy

I didn’t see any potential in this game. The games were completely horrible.

      • D.M.T

That´s because you don´t even own a Wii U so it´s hard to see any potential in a game you´ve never played. I know you´re gonna respond to me saying you own a Wii U but you´re lying, I know it and you know it.

        • handsomeguy

          I

        • handsomeguy

Only games worth getting is Smash Bros

          • LevenThumps

Smash Bros. is certainly a reason to get a WiiU, but I can think of many other games to get one as well, such as Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Legend of Zelda Wii U, and Yarn Yoshi just to name a few.

          • The True Gamer

for me personally, i only care much about smash bros. If i had a wii u, id buy 3d world and mario kart 8 after significant price drops, but i just dont think nintendo’s franchises are really interesting me as much as they use to,

          • Nintedward

If you’re a naïve twat, yes.

          • The True Gamer

actually i think this guy has a point. for me, smash bros. is the only game that looks great to me on wii u right now.

        • handsomeguy

You can think I’m lying, I know I am not. We both know we regret buying the Wii U.

          • D.M.T

I have no regrets because I don´t buy things that I won´t enjoy, I´m not stupid.

    • The True Gamer

the tablet is in no way the future of gaming. nintendo is having trouble trying to figure out what to do with it now. its a wii mote with a screen on it.

      • CEObrainz

So….a PC is the future then?

        • The True Gamer

no. i just think the wii u gamepad needlessly increases the price significantly for something that could (and should) be optional through some system updates

          • Deadpool U

That is so idiotic that I don’t even know where to begin.

          • The True Gamer

thats a little harsh. i know some games wouldnt function fully, if at all. that would give most consumers reason to buy the controller. however, smash bros. is launching soon, and a $199 price point for a wii u without a gamepad would make it a very succesful system.

          • Deadpool U

The Wii U is based around the gamepad. The gamepad is the reason most I know bought a Wii U and without the gamepad it’d be just the Wii with HD and if you don’t know the gamepad is the reason why games like Splinter Cell are best on Wii U.

    • C4

It shows potential but even for a mini game collection I think there could have been more substance and polish in each game. Multiplayer can be fun though.

I’d also like the games in a regular art style and not the game / Mii hybrid look. That’s what makes it less impressive visually for me. F-Zero for example looks stupid IMHO, the ninja game which isn’t based on an older IP (as far as I know?) looks fine.

    • greengecko007

I strongly disagree because most of the games involve one player looking either solely at the TV or the gamepad. The only games that integrate both screens for a player are Yoshi Kart and Octopus Dance (and the Ninja game, if you count drawing shapes).

  • The True Gamer

so nintendo land was a failure eh? maybe gamepad is also a failure.

    • D.M.T

A game that sold over 2 million cannot be considered a failure. A so called true gamer such as yourself shouldn´t be saying stupid shit like this.

      • The True Gamer

nintendo is doing nothing at this point except for hurting the game industry. gimmicks like the wii u gamepad are needlessly added so nintendo has the potentisl to even survive in the game industry.

        • CEObrainz

If Nintendo was hurting the gaming industry no one would ever try to copy them. This doesn’t seem to be the case though…..

          • The True Gamer

nobody is copying the wii u. i wonder why? psvita remoteplay isnt copying, as it isnt even the same system

          • CEObrainz

It doesn’t have to be the same system to be an imitation.

          • handsomeguy

The Wii U is different because its meant for children, while the other consoles are meant for everyone.

          • CEObrainz

Because multi-platform games aren’t being released on the Wii U? I really don’t understand your logic here, care to expand on your point?

          • handsomeguy

The games are for children. If you can’t see it, please see a doctor. Off topic: if that’s you on your picture, you look retarded

          • CEObrainz

lol, wow didn’t expect that from you, but not really bothered by the comment either. If you can’t see that not all Nintendo games are for younger gamers then you really need to look through the history of Nintendo games and learn something.

          • handsomeguy

            Hf

          • CEObrainz

That comment hardly makes sense. Are you trying to say past Nintendo games were much harder than more recent ones? As it seems like your saying every other game that isn’t Nintendo is too easy…..

          • https://www.facebook.com/BlueLightningTechnicalServices Bob Wilkerson

Ooh lets call other people names. That’s mature. If that is the level you want to resort to then you are the child.

          • CEObrainz

Don’t bother, just keep acting mature and move on, it ain’t worth it.

          • Jon

wow… I didn’t know, ME3, AC III&IV, ZombieU, COD:Ghost, Black Ops, Deus, Tom Clancy. were all games for Children…. I guess all the systems are for children guys.

          • The True Gamer

why use those games as the representation that wii u isnt just for children? why not use mario, legend of zelda, or pretty much any nintendo franchise?

          • Jon

true,, there is also X and bayonetta

          • Deadpool U

Yeah the Wii U is made for children that’s why it has M-rated Games like:
            COD
            Assassin’s Creed
            Watch_Dogs
            Deus Ex
            Darksiders
            Ninja Gaiden
            Resident Evil
            Splinter Cell
            Zombi U
            The Walking Dead
            Yakuza
(Note: I put COD on this list but I now realize its for nine year olds.)

            mass effect 3

          • Deadpool U

            I don’t count EA games.

          • The True Gamer

wii u is a nintendo system. its built for everybody, regardless of what rated m games it has. is super smash bros. built for kids? is mario? is legend of zelda? even to go to other platforms, games iike littlebigplanet and super meat boy may not be rated m, but that doesnt make them not for everybody

          • Jon

man… for a console that is meant for Children, there is a lot of violent games being released for it….

        • D.M.T

Thanks for proving that you´re a troll, now I know that i shouldn´t waste my time with you anymore.

Why does every troll gamer feel if they do not like a game that it is trash and no one else likes it either because they don’t. And if you defend it they call it names like kiddie.

Why can’t they just say to themselves I do not like this game and move on without commenting and causing a fight. Stupid trolls calling themselves handsome, true gamer, and truth tellers.

        • greengecko007

Why do they do it? Because the “mature” non-troll commenters keep responding to them. The thing about trolling is, they probably don’t even believe what they are posting. All of this has been said several times before on this website by other people, yet so many people still take the troll bait.

    • Link of all time

I didn’t like it much at first, but it has some great mini games in it. Zelda, Metroid and Donkey Kong crash course are addictive! My son loves Mario chase, Pikmin and the ghost game. plenty of replay value, not even close to a failure in my books.

    • Magnus Eriksson

It sold over 2M. But it clearly failed to show why the pad is relevant. The games on it are good though, especially Metroid Blast, DK Cart, Luigis Mansion and F-Zero. So, the game is good atleast.

    • Chronic Gang

Want to talk abot epic failures look at playstation all stars it went from 60 to 5 in like a month haha lol

      • The True Gamer

i thought it was cheezy, but still fun.

  • Jack5221

This is great! Bought an 8gb Wii U, so I never got this game. Its been almost a year since I’ve owned my Wii U and for some reason I haven’t picked this game up. Nice to know I can grab it for 30$ now. :)

    • handsomeguy

I wouldn’t recommend it. Unless you are 7 or younger you will find it sort of fun

      • Pikachief

Have you tried with friends? I find Luigi’s Mansion and Zelda on it to be great fun with multiple people.

        • handsomeguy

Yes, I did only fun game is Luigi’s Mansion and Pikmin

      • Decker Shado

        Wow! That’s awesome!

I was concerned that I was getting up there in years, and felt my mortality looming, but it turns out that I’m 7 or younger. That has lifted such a weight off my shoulders.

Oh wait.. now I have this strange urge to pester my mommy to buy me CoD…

Can’t understand the downvotes. I certainly wouldn’t recommend the game to me, and not for singleplayer.

Multiplayer with friends who can enjoy those minigames and I think it can be worth 30$ though :) . But otherwise I’d buy Zelda, Pikmin or any of the other Wii U or even some older Wii games.

The “7 years or younger” comment was a bit unnecessary though…

      • Elitepwnsface

I agree with the first part of your statement. But now that its $30 i would semi-recommend it. Though i think $30 is still to much, i might grab it when i see it for $15 or so.

    • Deadpool U

Don’t listen to handsomeguy about the game its a blast it’s best when played with friends but if you like to play alone I recommend the Zelda and Metroid minigames that’s when the game stops being ‘casual’ and gets ‘hardcore’.

      • Rinslowe

Nailed it. On it’s own, or played alone I should say it has limited appeal.
But enjoyed with family and/ or friends and it’s a completely different experience…

    • Gregg

Great party game, and family game

    • Sdudyoy

It’s a good game, but it got old fast, I don’t think 60$ would be worth it but 30$ is a perfect price.

  • Deadpool U

Seems like a fair price though I do feel the game has a lot of potential the Zelda and Metroid minigames seems like they could be fully-fledged games.

    • CEObrainz

To be fair, Zelda is coming out on Wii U….eventually and Metroid might be as well. There is also the Wind Waker HD if you haven’t played the original so….yea.

  • CaesarGood

Nintendo Land, for what it is could have been ten times better than what it was. No excuses. Only thing I’m disappointed about now, is the fact that I didn’t trade it in before the price cut.

  • Madmagican

Great for all the people who bought the Basic model when it was available or haven’t bought a Wii U yet :)

  • farrellbr

It should have been that price

  • Pikachief

Nintendo Land single player is pretty boring, but with family and friends over we always have a blast with it. It has actually convinced a few of my friends to consider Wii U who originally didn’t want it. They usually love the Luigi’s Mansion, Zelda, and Pikmin game modes. Very fun with 3-5 players, sadly not very fun alone. I can see why people don’t like it but if you have people to play it with, give it a shot! Maybe you can find it used for even less!

  • bizzy gie

    This is good.

  • Jon

Great game. Price cut makes sense though, game is a year old.

  • Joey

It was a Blast to play, we had so much fun playing with nephews nieces and friend’s. Bought the Wii U at launch date.

  • HungryMetroid

it’s a good game but it needs to have a price cut since its been out for almost a year now.

  • Gregg

Nintendo continues to aggressively support the WiiU. Pleased for sure. It’s a fun game, for me, at 37, and my girls, 8&10, LOVE it.

    • saif

      same here …. :)

  • Entropyguy

Yeah. It’s a pretty fun game, but not an especially deep one. If it hadn’t come with my Wii U I’d never in a million years spend $60 on it. $30 is a much fairer price!

    • Rinslowe

      Exactly…

  • Fred

I tried to download this on the eShop this morning and it said retail only I guess I’ll have to try again

    • Fred

I tried again and it’s still not working. Is it also not working for all you guys?

      • jughead76

Talked to a guy at Nintendo customer service today who said it has been pulled indefinitely and that reports of it being 29.99 on the eShop is incorrect. He told me that is was pulled and the only way I could get it would be to come across a download code for one.

        • Fred

Really? That stinks I already sold my old copy of the game. Did they offer to sell you a download code? I’m sick of discs I’d even be willing to pay a little extra for the luxury of a digital copy.

          • jughead76

The rep couldn’t do that but he said I “might” be able to buy one at a gamestop or a place like that. I already sold my copy on eBay in anticipation for getting it digital. My mistake.

  • Kenshin0011

    Good thinking

  • John Andalora

I think it’s about time that it gets a price cut.
Maybe the lower price will get more people to buy it.

  • Yousif Alromaithi

Man I love this game but I am upset that it was not what the Wii U needed. Also I wish Zombi U sold well.

  • yousef

yea i think he is right as well nintendo have huge problem with online play as well and ithink nintendo should alott more on the hardcore games and also id,ont think nintendo do well for next gunration system ido bealive the still far bhined and i am huge fan of nintendo i just played dastiny demo for ps4 and ihave to greed that nintendo was talking nonsense when they said we wont bee far bheing in terms of grahpic i know for u guys its like this a big step for nintendo sorry but its really not i played watchdog on wii u and ps4 demo and i have to say there is a huge diffrents probley by middle of 2014 nintendo would sell good because of mario kart and supersmashes but nintendo wont do as well is the regullar wii because most gamers include me just sick of nintendo exuese and the truth is nintendo always try to make alot of provide with their consle thats why the consle is never really very powerfull most of u well be angry and disgreaing with me but its the truth ..

  • Elitepwnsface

“Nintendo Land was is to the Wii U what Wii Sports was to the original Wii.”
-Not really. I got a wii u and it did not come packed with a game. i got a wii at its launch as well and it came with a game.

    • LevenThumps

It’s not talking about a game that was bundled with the system, although Nintendo Land was bundled to the deluxe version. It’s talking about how both games showcased the features of their respective systems, be it the Wiimote or the GamePad.

      • Elitepwnsface

The quote i linked implies exactly what i said.

        • LevenThumps

If you read the next sentence right after the quote you linked, it says exactly what I said, that they were “designed to showcase the system and its new features.”

          • Elitepwnsface

I see what your saying but it seems my point wasn’t clear enough.

  • The True Gamer

really a smart move by nintendo here. they made new super mario bros. u the new bundle game. really, i think nintendo is starting to really have some good ideas. now lets see a wii u without the gamepad….please?
(i know many people will say you need the gamepad, but for me, i just want a normal controller and nintendo games, no more gimmicks)

  • Sdudyoy

What’s with the weird Simpson’s thing?

  • like2nap

Good deal at that price though

  • Jonathan P Mugridge

It was a half ass game that was rushed for console launch.

    • Martijn Plasmans

Yes sir. The day one patch for the game is 700mb or something… abnormal if you ask me.

    • BIG Franky

agree… BUT, there is still enough content to make it worth $29.99 in my opinion.

  • mch

Since launch i never got around to play Nintendoland so much. Now I´m playing it and I am truly amazed how much (fun) this title has to offer!! I think it is strongly underrated and many many more people should try it and know about it.
If you haven´t bought it yet, NOW is the time! It´s a great game especially also to invite people over.

PS: Yes online implementation would ROCK! I wouldn´t mind if it came as a DLC with a reasonable price tag.

  • MetroidZero

I always wanted to play that Metroid mini-game. I’ll wait for the price to go below $20.

  • Moreck

I love this game so much! It’s been such a blast to play with friends/ family, as well as solo. In fact, I’m a bit sad that it didn’t become “the Wii Sports” of this gen. Hopefully the price cut will encourage sales!

  • Gameonfool

Wow Nintendo full of so many ideas to get he ( Dead ) console going

  • Rick van der Linde

They should offer a Wiimote+Nintendoland pack, like Wii Party U.

  • Razo_E

I love NintendoLand! My family has recently moved away from playing it daily as we used to. Now we bring it out for guests to quickly get them to play along with us, instead of a long, boring tutorial.

  • Seth S. Scott

Nintendo Land is pure bliss. Its like Wii Sports in that its probably one of the most fun experiences I have had time and time again and although its not a perfect game its pure Nintendo joy.

  • GameBoy1979

Is it just me, or does it seem like maybe Iwata & Nintendo are pulling the proverbial “rabbit out of the magic hat”? Watch out NextBox & PS4!

  • jjbredesen

Smart move! Now slice the Wii u’s price in half and everyone will own one :P

(I know it will never happen, but still..)

    • GameBoy1979

I think a lot of what they did price wise, was done intentionally so that they would have more leverage against Sony & MS once their respective systems come out. Just wait until all the prospective games finally hit the market.

      • jjbredesen

I cant wait! But my bank account can’t say the same lol. When MK8 and Mario 3d world hit wii u sales will raise a lot, and then Smash Bros will make them explode. And then when Zelda hits. It will be over for MS, sony and my bank account.

        • GameBoy1979

LOL! Agreed on all accounts! I think when it’s all said & done Nintendo will have worked their magic, as always, & the Wii U will be in many, many more homes.

          • jjbredesen

Yup and lets not forget about Miyamoto’s new IP. Does anyone know anything about it?

          • GameBoy1979

            I wish I did.

  • barwiifan

This game is worth a whole lot more than it is being sold for. Anyone who does not have this needs to buy it. I don’t care if you’re waiting for other games, this one is awesome.

  • jughead76

Nintendo Land is NOT available on the eShop. Nintendo has pulled it from the eShop indefinitely. I wanted to sell my physical copy and download a digital one at the new price but discovered it missing. I talked with a representative from Nintendo customer service and he told me that is was pulled and the only way I could get it would be to come accross a download code for one.

  • X3Charlie

I wouldn’t mind DLC for this game, Imagine 12 new mini games and online multiplayer. Perhaps in a year or two when we may have multi gamepad support.

    • Kamon

Same. I’d love to see some more games on there.

  • Des

It was never worth the $60 price tag. But at $30, I might get it.

  • Potemkin

Give it for free with the console…with all its variations!
