  • djvalbnc

Already pre-ordered. So excited. I have never played as much Videogames with any other Console as I do with my Wii U. Hell i don’t even use my Laptop for Internet anymore. Miiverse is my new Facebook. I spend HOURS on my Console.

For me Wii U is the best consoles since a LONG time! (No I’m not a fanboy)

this is crazy. and I’m 22. I live in Switzerland and i know maybe 3 persons that have a wii u.
Actually i am really sorry for all others missing out this amazing thing called wii fucking U

    • Simon Stevens

My laptop died, haven’t even contemplated replacing it, Wii U gamepad makes a lot of sense when you use it a lot for web browsing and such, couldn’t use any other console as an all in one like that, like you, I haven’t played and truly enjoyed any other console the way I’ve enjoyed the Wii U, have some Wii U love from the UK my brother ^^

      • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

from America as well, it’s the perfect college system. Room mate goes to sleep? Off TV play with headphones. No big TV? Off TV play. Wanna have a game party with friends? Break out Nintendo Land.

        • Simon Stevens

Ditto to that, I wanna play my game, son wants to watch a movie, no problem and vice versa, his friends who’ve played it with him now want one too.

          • https://twitter.com/Zorpix_Fang Zorpix

all my friends want one too XD

          • Jackson Cota

Wiiu = Best amount of fun i’ve had in a while!

    • Nintedward

I’m 22 and I completely agree! Although Miiverse hasn’t replaced facebook for me, more like created something like facebook dedicated for Nintendo fans!
The Wiiu really is one of the best consoles ever, and when the games like smash and MK8 arrive, that will be even more concrete.

      • David John Gifford

Wait to u get to my age of 31 and u have played nintendo for 21 years I remember dk on snes

Pre-ordered this for my son for Christmas… I’m not sure I can hold out for a whole MONTH!!!!! I may have to play through and beat it, that way when he gets it for Christmas he’ll have everything opened up! …but, how do I explain to him that Santa played his game for him?

    • Simon Stevens

My son can get stuffed if he thinks I’m waiting it out till christmas to beat that game, I’m gonna tell my son the truth, Santa plays Nintendo games and he played yours.

      • Rinslowe

        Lol,

Tell him the real truth, Christmas is every day of the year you get to share with family.
“So go make your dad a cuppa and get back here! Cause we’re about set this off…” :P

        • Simon Stevens

Lol I’m gonna have a christmas card made up of the family and the wii u, the wii u deserves it ^^

    • Fred

Buy it on the eShop tonight and either hide it on the very last screen he’ll never see it there because who scrolls to the very last empty icon screen. then move it to the first screen when you put presents under the tree and tell him santa downloaded it for him.

  • Petri

Should get this by the time of my sons first birthday.
Though might put in Wii Party U for kids to play with.

  • Jon

I sadly will not be able to get this until a few weeks after it comes out. All my money has gone to the Zelda 3DS XL…. but I will get this game too :D

    • Justagamer

I already have mine pre ordered and have 100 dollars on my eshop account…It’s party time Nov 22

      • Jackson Cota

;) I’m gonna get hard copy.

        • Justagamer

Cool i wanted to do that but went the download way for the free 5 dollars promotion

          • Jackson Cota

Nice! I would get download copy but i really like the box & disc art!

  • Ace

I pre-ordered this already and I can’t wait to play it. Looks great! I am excited to see how they utilized the GamePad in this game. Can’t wait for couch co-op fun!

  • Ace

Is it just my computer, or does the site not work?

    • Jon

      works fine for me

  • Justagamer

Wii U is the best choice in gaming in first party

    • Daniel Gonzalez

      Subjective.

      • Rinslowe

        True…

Titles are the best choice in gaming, lol.
        Platforms are secondary.

      • Fred

You’re right that is subjective or opinion, but to him it’s true and I’m of the same opinion

        • Rinslowe

          Fair call.

        • Daniel Gonzalez

I’m fine with that. I’m with Rinslowe, that games matter, not the console itself. Makes more sense to me.

          • Fred

Funny thing is I agree this you on this too. It just so happens that I enjoy the games Nintendo puts out more than the ones Sony and Microsoft put out so if I have to choose I’ll choose Nintendo

          • Daniel Gonzalez

For me, it’s the opposite. Sony appeals to me more, especially as I grew up. I still love some Nintendo franchises such as Mario Kart and Smash Bros. So at some point, I will have at least two consoles. Microsoft can fade out for all I care. Wasn’t impressed with their antics early on and most of their first party titles such as Halo aren’t that appealing, at least to me.

          • Fred

That is why I like that there are options, because we don’t all like the same games.

      • Justagamer

True and PS4 for third party gaming but i did preorder Second Son but i can’t find any games worth getting for the ps4 at launch..Most games like AC4 and COD i have on Wii U I hope they release some good games in the next few months

        • Daniel Gonzalez

PS4 isn’t released yet, so of course there’s no big games as of yet. That will come with time, and there are a lot of good first party games from Sony. Unless they aren’t to your liking, then fair enough.

          • Justagamer

None so far now if watchdogs would have been there i would get that for the console

  • The last Chozo

This game looks great! If this is what they can do to Mario I can’t wait to see what they can do to the new Metroid that is definitely being made right now! Right Nintendo? RIGHT?

  • Josiah Parsons

The Cat Bullet Bills are a little disturbing…

    • http://www.senran-international.boards.net/ TwinTails

      Then they must be working.

  • Rinslowe

I’m getting really excited for this game and seriously, SM3DW is set to blow up a bank!!
And I’ll be queuing in front of my Wii U at 12 midnight , ready to hit that download button, lol :)

    • Razo_E

I believe it’s Midnight east coast time, so if you’re on the west, it should be available at 9pm.

      • Rinslowe

        :)

      • Fred

Yes i learned that trick with Wind Waker as I live in Utah and it was available at 1)pm here

    • Mario

      BOOM! Ha ha!

  • tlopuse

This game is going be great. A mix of SMB2, SMB3, and SM64. This is why thirds party do not wanna make games to Nintendo, because Nintendo knows how to make games. No fanboy, Nintendo sponsor since ’85. Before start arguing with me about video games, I’m playing since Atari 2600 ; ).

    • GameBoy1979

I was going to say the exact same thing about the mix of all those games. This game really does look awesome, especially after watching the “gameplay super trailer” on the official site. Nintendo may not always do what the other guys do specs-wise, but they definitely make up for it in playability. This game alone will make a huge difference in their sales I believe.

  • Sycamore

Can’t wait to break out the egg nog and do some couch co-op

  • devmiles

finally a game that should have been released at launch already. this will do well and all fans will have this in their collection. from then on it will be a long wait till more satisfaction. around that time sony will pick up those hungry gamers. i have seen so many second hand wii-u’s already… people just don’t take it anymore. nintendo failed in what they should have done..i did see it coming when i first saw the whole nintendoland fuzz..i was like…nooooo are you serious mr reggie bigsmile??
nintendo better step up now else sales will surely go down and mario is not gonna save you. so far no starfox, no metroid, a very late 2014 smash brothers, some donkey kong next year february and i think we are about there…. and a 2015 zelda.
it’s worth to have a wii-u for that but i’ll put it on a lower shelve and setup my PS4, that one will offer my gaming needs continuously for sure.

  • Shigeru Miyamoto

Wow… I’m so excited about this game. STAMPS!!! Finally a lil extra that will make me want to 100% the game. the stars were always a lil boring to me but this STAMPS MiiVerse idea is Genius!!! I love it. I’m soooo hyped!

  • thedeciderU

    damn this looks good

  • jreed3842

I’m getting more and more excited. I CANNOT wait to play as Toad and explore the new levels with him!

  • Sdudyoy

Nintendo stated that they are working on games that will appeal to “Highly skilled user’s”, this is interesting to me as in my opinion some of the later Nintendo games have been surprisingly easy.

Iwata: “We have an offering of software for the end of this calendar year that
encourages family fun at home. Nintendo is preparing a number of Wii U
games for next year that greatly appeal to highly skilled users, but at
the end of this calendar year, we have quite a few offerings that can be
played by the whole family, dad and the kids, or grandparents and the
    kids.”.

  • Sonic 2099 The Hedgehog

    I’ll check it out

  • bizzy gie

Comedy isn’t a strong suit for you Donaald.

  • LevenThumps

This style of gameplay that you claim is designed for 2D worlds has been shown to work well in 3D worlds; Super Mario 64 is an excellent example.

On the WiiU alone, Nintendo has/will have Pikmin3, The Wonderful101, Yarn Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, Bayonetta, Mario and Zelda. On the 3DS, they have Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Yoshi, and StarFox (although it’s a remake). Whether you like these games are up to you, but Nintendo has not lost its diversity in titles.

  • Justagamer

Epic Fail for you Don..U mad bro!

  • Germany

Germany sees your thought process of Nintendo old fashioned. A thought process that is more than 20 years old now. Go play your old fashioned shooters that come out year after year with little to no change.

  • Simon Stevens

Have fun with your last gen ports on the new gen systems :) say hi to octodad for me

  • Jon

yeah…. you should know that if a franchise sells well, it’ll be redone
over and over. Take CoD, Sim City, BF, GTA, Half Life, 95% of racing games in
general. You talk about how Nintendo does this, even though they come out with new IP’s occasionally, change up game play (pretty sure this game only has one other game in this style and it is Super Mario 3D Land). Yet you go on about Nintendo does this, Nintendo is Lazy because of this yet they do more innovation stuff than 99% of all larger gaming companies out there while others just release rehashed stuff, some more rehash than others but they all do it. Essentially, your beloved GTA can even be considered rehash as it is the same concept and same style as the other games (maybe not the first two in style simply because it was a top down view but the basic concept of the game was the same).

  • Mario

    Of course they did! (Sarcasm)

  • Rick van der Linde

Yeah, let’s take out the running and jumping.

  • Justagamer

*sniffs the air* What the hell is that smell? Nasty and putrid like BO off of a dead person that crapped themselves? Oh! The Donny troll hating Wii U! Thanks hater for the comments! and the thumbs downs speak for themselfs

  • Justagamer

Again keep pulling straws donny boy ..We all know who you are..Stop pretending

  • NkoSekirei

ur such an @$$ and a idiot

  • Jon

LOL, each GTA game is different? Hardly, the only thing different is it’s a new city, more vehicles, different weapons/new weapons added, new cleaner looking graphics, bigger map. Other than that. it is you are a guy trying to be the baddest gangster in town by stealing cars, Random killing sprees. Missions that are mostly the same (X guy did this so go whack him and if he stole something, get it back), find the hooker your trying to bang, ect. The gameplay over all is virtually the exact same gameplay. GTA 3,Vice City, San Andreas, IV. It is all the same thing and yes I have played them all.

As for Nintendo, yeah, there is quite a lot of repetition especially with the Mario games. But luckily, they have a variety game ways the Mario games are done. Such as the paper Mario (or the Mario RPG type). Then you have your side scrolling platformers, full 3D environment such as Galaxy, Sunshine, Mario 64. and now what I like to call the 3/4 3D which is what This game and what Super Mario 3D land was. Over all, considering how long this franchise has been running, I think they did a pretty good job differentiating it for a variety of people. Some people love the side scrolling, some people don’t.

It kind of amazes me that you tell everyone that every Nintendo title is the same. It really makes me wonder if you played anything more than 1 game from Nintendo because you obviously do not know what you are talking about. You honestly cannot tell me that Pikmin is the same as Star Fox or Mario Kart is the same as the Wonderful 101. Yeah Mario Kart games are pretty much the same as one another, but it’s a racing game, you don’t play them for a new gaming experience type, you play them for the new tracks. Same with Zelda. Sure it is usually a similar story, X person kidnapped, you go through dungeons and get X object to help you defeat the evil monster but you play it to experience the new world, to play as the hero. The closest game I can probably call the most repetition in a Nintendo series would be the side scrolling platforming but those types of games… you play for the levels anyway. Different levels make it a new game with new challenges to overcome. If you play it for a different reason… then you are playing platformers for the wrong reason and you should probably stop.

So sorry to say this, but overall, What you may say is true to an extend, as in companies (or in this case, Nintendo) use the same kind of stuff but everyone does this. That is why you get stuff with sequel after sequel. It all just depends on how it is done, what is added, what is new in the game and the quality of it being made. Nintendo has obviously done well with this as they have huge franchises that are more than 20 years old where people will still flock out to buy. You may not like them, You may go on about how much the “same” these games are but millions of other people, are obviously not seeing that.

  • Jackson Cota

    go suck a dick asstard

  • 00EpicGamer00

Oh yes, let’s play a game where we kill our own kind.

Seriously, I never understood why people enjoy playing a game where they kill their own kind. It’s disgusting. Now, there are certain games that do that correctly. Like Assassin’s creed, how you ask? Well, because you’re controlling an awesome Assassin for the first part, and you just don’t kill random people, you kill all the bad people, people that are making the world a worser place (see Assassin’s Creed 3 for a good example.)

With Call of Duty, yeah you are killing people…like, allot. But, you’re in the army, it’s literally your job to do so. And with COD you’re protecting your country (or other places that are important) from invading armies that’d wish harm upon it. So, even COD is more appropriate than GTA.

With GTA, you’re controlling some retarded gangster dude, and all you do is run around a city, killing innocent people. How is that even remotely “fun”?

  • Justagamer

The guy is just butthurt and has no real friends so he trolls to make himself feel like a real man

  • Simon Stevens

He was probably queefed on as a child, that’s how it always starts, such a shame :(

  • Justagamer

I know right but he is worthless and life go’s on
(Update the poser is thumbing down because truth was told and he can’t handle it)

  • Justagamer

No point of debating the douchebag. He is like a broken record and you won’t change him

  • Justagamer

    He’s not worth debating

  • LevenThumps

These also aren’t the same old titles that have been around for 30 years. Pikmin 3 is only the third game in a series started in 2004. The Wonderful 101 is an entirely new IP altogether. Kid Icarus hadn’t seen a game since 1991 (Brawl doesn’t count). The Bayonetta series only started in 2010. Before Retro Studios’s reboot of Donkey Kong Country, a Donkey Kong game hadn’t been on a home console since 2005 on the Gamecube. For the games that have been around pretty consistently for these 30 years (Zelda and Mario are the big two), gameplay has changed. They do have the same old titles occasionally (they’re called remakes), but they offer new content as well; they’re not just ports.

I listed some titles twice because I separated my list by franchises on WiiU and franchises on 3DS. Some franchises are currently on both.

  • Simon Stevens

Funny how he only tells the “truth” about Wii u but not ps4 and xbox one, Microsoft who was going to block used games and spy on you naked on the couch, Sony who were probably gonna do the same thing till they realized they wouldn’t be able to get away with it, at least Nintendo don’t push crap like that on consumers, what makes me really sad is how much I love the ability to listen to music and play games on the Vita at the same time, a feature not available on the ps4 because they want you to have to pay fir there shitty sony music unlimited service, can’t imagine what other dastardly deeds there gonna have in store once the console reaches enough homes, TRUTH!.

  • https://www.facebook.com/BlueLightningTechnicalServices Bob Wilkerson

Don’t bother. He is the type of gamer that will call any Nintendo IP a rehash but call the latest GTA New and innovative. All game developers and publishers use their top selling IPs but only Nintendo gets the insults for doing it and doing it well for 30 years. The do not release a new Mario game every year in the same game genre but it seems like they do since Mario is used in a wide variety of game types most of which are fun to play and sell very well and rarely get sold back to be a used game.

  • Justagamer

He stays to one console only and it’s a shame..Console wars are a waste of time and stupid

  • Simon Stevens

Be a while before I buy into the ps4, really don’t understand the excitement, there is literally no games worth buying upon launch.

  • Jackson Cota

Unless you break the record. ;)

  • Justagamer

Who are you you taking too me or truthteller

  • Justagamer

I always get all the new consoles except i will not be getting the xbox one due to it being 500 dollars is not worth it and few games coming out for it

  • Justagamer

truthteller is like a bad fart that lingers but he will fade in time

  • Simon Stevens

I tend to skip Microsoft, but I make up for it by having 3DS and Vita, variety is never a bad thing ^^

  • Jon

lol, this is hardly a list that really would change GTA. Gameplay, the concept of the game, what you do in the game is all the same. These are small additions, pretty much what any game sequel gets. If you think my list is changing the game entirely then I can say the exact same for Mario as Mario gets New levels, New power ups, Larger maps/levels (most of the time) different playable characters, new cleaner graphics. If I go into the RPG series, there is way more. So there you go, I guess by using your logic, every Mario game is totally different from each other!

You really fail to see the purpose of the platformer don’t you? Why do they need to give him new clothes? They are not trying to have a new protagonist nor do really need to give a purpose of his doing what he does because face it, The game is a platformer. No one plays them to learn the history of Mario or what he does for a living and there is no need to go and update it to the point where you can see the hairs on his mustache. Or here is a better idea, Name me a platformer game where the graphics are at the “realistic” point because I cannot think of one. This is a basic concept that you fail to see which is very surprising because this is something you should have learned when you were a child playing these games. This is why I no longer believe that when you say you have played these games. I just don’t believe you. It is either that or you have NEVER played a platformer. Honestly. I don’t think you should ever play one because you seem to have this attitude that it is the same game when you probably have never played any more than one of them.

  • Guest

you are worth responding to because you fail on so many levels.

  • Justagamer

if that were they case why all the thumbs down Hummm think before you comment guy because the numbers speak for themselfs

  • Justagamer

Nah i can’t do that and no one here cares what you think at this point and you really need to get the clue ..You are worthless…End of story!..Keep moving on bud

  • Justagamer

I can respect that ..Not a fan of vita but heck if you like it..That cool…

  • Simon Stevens

Vita is great, just needs games and for Sony to give a crap about it, whichever systems has rpgs is the system for me

  • Jackson Cota

How about u and laya over there go fuck in the corner luke.

  • Jackson Cota

    lol

  • 00EpicGamer00

Yeah, you have a mental disorder. For your information, I’m glad the crap that is GTA isn’t on the Wii U. Just please, ask yourself this, is a game that all you do is run around and kill innocent lives really worth it? No, it’s not. It’s games like that, that make me question the intelligence of the human race. Just, why do you want to play a game where all you do is kill people? For NO purpose what so ever. Maybe if there was an actual point for killing people, then okay, but from what I’ve seen, there is no purpose. It’s all just for pleasure.

Oh, and just to answer you’re rediculious conclusion that you got out of my post, it actually was a coincidense that those two games I mentioned happen to be on a Nintendo console, I forgot that they were, actually (even thought I have AC 3 and 4 for my Wii U, but for some reason I forgot while writing.) All I did was think of well known games where you kill people. Just a coincidence, no need to flip a table over it.

Oh, and if it’s such a big deal that the games I mentioned are on Nintendo consoles too, I am so sorry, I didn’t know that was so offensive. If you wish, I can name a game that’s not available on a Nintendo console, you kill people, and it’s appropriate like the other games I mentioned. What game is that? Red Dead Redemption. I don’t feel like explaining why, so I’ll let you figure it out, you CAN do that, right?
Oh, and another game that you kill people (appropriately) and is not on a Nintendo console is The Last of Us. Okay, yeah, you mostly kill “zombie” like beings, but if I’m recalling correctly, there’s levels that you must kill regular people. But it’s appropriate, because you’re defending yourself. Not just killing the people for pleasure.
