Wii Sports Club is an upcoming release from Nintendo that will be distributed via the Nintendo eShop with day passes and the chance to own sports individually. It’s a novel concept for a release, but president Satoru Iwata acknowledges that the game could eventually make a great packaged software deal, similar to the original Wii Sports that was sold with all Wii units.
I do not deny the possibility that “Wii Sports Club” may become packaged software in the future. However, for the future of Wii U, we have prioritized releasing tennis and bowling by the end of this year.”
Wii Sports Club bowling and tennis will be released as standalone titles this Thursday, November 7th. Will you be picking these up or trying the passes?
