Child of Light creative director Patrick Plourde has said in an interview that the upcoming downloadable title, published by Ubisoft, will make full use of the Wii U GamePad. While no specifics were given, it is encouraging to see developers eager to take advantage of the GamePad’s functionality.
When announced, Child of Light dazzled with its visuals, which are powered by the UbiArt Framework. It also showcased how it blended together two seemingly disparate genres: the platformer and the RPG.
Now we that we know there are some Wii U-specific features, we are even more intrigued. Igniculus, the companion character of the game, will likely work in a similar fashion as Murphy did in Rayman Legends.
