New screens have emerged for Kirby: Triple Deluxe

It was only in October when Kirby: Triple Deluxe was first announced, but its Japanese release date has already been confirmed for January 11 of next year.

The teaser website hasn’t been updated in a while, but a bunch of new scans and screens shed light on what we can look forward to in Kirby’s next adventure.

Nintendo President of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, is confident that the Wii U and 3DS will continue to receive great software over the course of 2014, and Kirby looks set to solidify his claims. See for yourself in the gallery below.

The cheery music always makes these games fun to play.

Kirby games always look fun, I’m interested to see where this game takes us.

Kirby is that one title I would love to see take vacations for a while…I’ve played a lot of Kirby games to realize each one have the same enemies..with the same power-ups…with almost the same level design in each one…it really needs a break

    • Madmagican

On the contrary, I’ve come to find that the Kirby games have the most varied experiences of any Nintendo franchise (Canvas Curse to Epic Yarn to Mass Attack to Crystal Shards or classic Kirby-styled games like Super Star or the Amazing Mirror)

It would be interesting to see them take it a little bit in a more difficult direction though, those games tend to be a little too easy, which is understandable since they are directed towards the young and casual gamer.

        • Madmagican

I think that’s why they created the Arena

          • alex toschi

Yeah definitely, that was just the previously fought bosses though. I’d like to see the actual platforming itself be taken up a notch, maybe give Kirby a 3D platforming world, sort of along the lines of how Mario was upgraded on to the Nintendo 64.

          • Madmagican

I like where you’re going with this :)

      • Saul Rivera

You know it would be much better if they had a lot of new powers and forget all the old ones….and Triple Deluxe isn’t the exception as those other titles you have mentioned…Triple Deluxe looks like all the games I meant…

        • Madmagican

Well it seems they’re making full use of the 3DS top screen and Kirby seems to be getting a couple new abilities as well (Horn Kirby and Bell Kirby)
most of the powers that get repeated are old because they’ve become a staple in the Kirby franchise (what would people say if they got rid of fire or sword or hammer powers?)

  • Sdudyoy

I love Kirby games but the series is starting to feel stale, I know it has some more unique spin offs, but the main games never feel that different from each other, Kirby games are always fun though, but I guess my biggest problem is that there really not that hard, aw well, there great games and my younger brother’s love them, and I guess I can’t really call myself a casual gamer and that’s what there really aimed at.

You mean like… chibi robo, batallion wars, excite trucks, a boy and his blob, kid icarus uprising, wonderful 101, project zero (2 wii / spirit camera), steel diver, batallion wars, Xenoblade/X and similar original titles?

That’s a bit like opening a pancake restaurant because waffles are really popular and selling well…

it’s beautiful music and it’s good gameplay or very good gameplay and it’s extras and kirby ! are amazing in my opinion

i want to know how good is triple deluxe ?

  • Leo

I love Kirby! I can’t wait! Kirby is the most underrated character ever lol

  • Miles “Tails” Prower

That one screen shot looks like it has something to do with Kirby mass attack.

  • DarkLegacy

The screenshots look great. And that game is going to be fun

  • ETeach

In kirby 64 you could mix two powerups… could triple deluxe involve mixing three!?!

…probably not, that would get crazy confusing. But imagine if it were true.

  • William Cole

Good ole kirby, nobody hates him and nobody likes him(in smash bros.)

Can’t wait for the next one.

    • DarkYoshi

What!? Kirby is one of my favorite Smash characters!

      • William Cole

In the original Smash Bros. kirby was a full blown cheater and you know it. Handicapped by creator Sakurai himself!

        • ETeach

The there’s brawl, where Kirby manages to be the only one who slices through the Halberd in story mode, and Dedede is the master tactician that saves the day for everybody XD

  • Cahone

Low res kirby is not easy to watch.

  • Wiiluigi

I can’t wait to see what new experience this game will offer.
