It would appear Retro Studios is on the prowl for some AI programmers. This is according to a tweet by the game journalist DeSero, who had this to say about the job position:
Retro Studios is looking for an AI engineer. All of this for a brand new gam… I mean, for a fucking DK AGAIN! pic.twitter.com/khWOM5Nvrn

The good news is that Retro is hiring more staff in order to produce games quicker, and hopefully with better quality. The bad news is that they’re still in the hiring stage. Another good assumption is that it’s for a game that has a bit more complexity than Donkey Kong, as most AI used in that game is probably about position on the screen and movement patterns.
Do you think Retro is getting more staff together for the (hopefully) inevitable Metroid game for Wii U, or are they prepping for the announcement of Funky Kong?
