During the Nintendo Direct presentation today, Satoru Iwata introduced a new Mario Kart 8 trailer by saying it contained something we’d never expect and boy, was he right. Amid showing off the various new karts and tracks that are available, several familiar faces appeared. The Kooplings are making an appearance as playable characters within the game and all of them will be playable.
If you’re unfamiliar with Bowser’s bad kids, they originally made their apperance in the NES game Super Mario Bros. 3, where each Koopaling was the final boss of the castles on each map. This trend was followed in Super Mario World and since then, the Koopalings have been turning up to do misdeeds around Mushroom Kingdom. What do you think of the new addition? Who is your favorite Koopaling?
