If you still haven’t jumped on board the Wii U train yet, then GameStop is offering a promotion that might make the deal a little more appealing if you’re still hanging on to last-gen consoles and games. From now until March 23rd GameStop is offering 50% extra trade-in credit on games and consoles you bring in that you’re trading toward the purchase of a Wii U, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4.
Eligible systems include the Wii, Wii Mini, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Even if one of your old systems is broken, it may qualify, so this is a deal worth looking into for that extra cash to get a Wii U. The cheapest Wii U bundle that GameStop is offering right now is the Skylanders: SWAP Force basic bundle, which starts at $249. The New Super Mario Bros. U and Luigi U bundle, as well as the Wind Waker HD bundles are also available at the standard $299 price point.
