Haven’t picked up your copy of Mario Kart 8 yet? What are you waiting for? You can buy an individual copy on Amazon, or if you don’t have a Wii U yet and Mario Kart 8 was the game you’re waiting for, check out the bundle. If you’re not sold on the game yet, be sure to check out our Mario Kart 8 review, as well as our tips & tricks video that will help you get started in the game.
If you’re not able to play Mario Kart just yet, don’t worry, Nintendo has you covered. They just released their Mario Kart TV app, which lets you login using your Nintendo Network ID and check out all the racing action that’s going on all over the world. You can view your own clips, view your friends clips, or view random clips that have been uploaded around the world.
The app gives a brief highlight reel of clips that have been uploaded over the last five minutes and if you want to watch one, it will take you to the YouTube page where the clip was uploaded. The YouTube integration for the game seems to be working swimmingly which is nice to see, during the review period I was unable to test it as Nintendo asked that we not upload videos using Mario Kart TV.
If you’re looking for a group of excited karters to race with tonight, be sure and check out the Wii U Forums! Also, don’t be shy in hitting me up on Miiverse if you want to race! My NNID is overlordror.
