Fans of Mega Man are eagerly awaiting the spiritual successor to the series in the form of Mighty No. 9, a Kickstarter-backed project initiated by series creator Keiji Inafune. Several different video logs have been released with the project over different stages of development, showing how movement works in the game, what the pseudo 3D environments will look like on a 2D plane, and how Mighty No. 9’s actions and jumps look. This is a similar video, showing off the progress the dev team has made in the game so far.
The game doesn’t have a solid release date, though the start of the video says the development team is shooting for a Spring 2015 release date. The game is scheduled to release on all major consoles including the Wii U. Did you back this game? Are you excited about what you see? Let us know in the comments.
