Nintendo has announced that the Pushmo series is headed to Wii U in a new game titled Pushmo World. The game will launch on June 19 and if you’re familiar with the Pushmo and Crashmo series from the Nintendo 3DS, you’ll know that pushing and climbing blocks to solve a huge variety of puzzles is pretty fun. There are more than 250 puzzles in Pushmo World, all of them new to the game. The game will also feature the World Pushmo Fair, which is an online hub that players can use to share their puzzle creations with others around the world.

If you manage to beat all of the puzzles in Pushmo World, you can visit the World Pushmo Fair to download some of the most devious puzzles created by the community. If you’re not familiar with the Pushmo series and you’d like to be, Nintendo is also offering a special discount on Pushmo and Crashmo on the Nintendo 3DS from May 28 to June 13. You’ll be able to download those titles at up to 33% off.

When Pushmo World launches on June 19, you’ll be able to download it for $9.99.

That is the discount that I was waiting for!
    Well played Nintendo! :)

    • Yousif Alromaithi

      They own the IP. :)

    • Thomas Vienna

My thoughts exactly; This will get me to actually buy Crashmo.

  • Nostalgic_Chaos

A really cute character. Some of the designs remind me of the Kirby series.

  • That guy who hates Spike

    Hey Nintendo!
How about you make a new game for the Wii U eShop?

    • Zuxs13

Did you not read the article? this is a new game.

      • Tim van Broekhoven

I think he means a completely new IP

      • That guy who hates Spike

I mean like a new Wii U IP. Something that fits the Wii U hardware. Not NES Remix, not Dr. Luigi, not Pushmo, and not a remake of Wii Sports. All of these capitilize on something that has existed anywhere between 2-29 years ago. I want something fresh, and hopefully I’m not alone. Something that was made for Wii U, or rather something I can only find on Wii U.

        • Zuxs13

Oh so none of those count and are worthless then. I get it.

        • Thomas Vienna

It’s more expensive and risky to make something entirely fresh, so its no surprise that sequels and remakes are common. But, hopefully, they will come up with something new soon. I’m sure they will.

    • Kevin Sepulveda

They will some day but new IPs dont make as much money on Nintendo as Old IPs remade with shiney new graphics and few mechanical game changes.

  • Someone Cool

I havn’t played any of the games in the pushmo series. I think I will get ths one though.

    • Zuxs13

They all have been good so far and worth it.

I’ve got a post it next to my desk at work to remind me what 3DS games I wanted to catch on sale, looks like my time is now :)

And just in time since I’m going out of town this weekend

  • http://nintendopapercraftvideos.wordpress.com/ Sam

Aww man, I’d of bought it if it was $4.99…

    • Zuxs13

Just buy Mario Kart on the eShope, you will be able to get this game for $5 then.

  • Elitepwnsface

As long as its rated Mature

  • Zuxs13

This is great its finally coming to Wii U. But this game makes me really wish there was a better unified account system with the WiiU/3DS. If i could buy this game and play it on both systems it would be far more worth my money to me.

    • ben

The wii U game is a new game made for the wii u.

  • gamingpalooza

I would totally buy this… the 3DS version is great.

  • J_Joestar

    I was just thinking,
A Giant Pushmo puzzle could be an interesting moving Smash Bros stage.

  • ben

A game made by intelligent systems. I am all in.

  • LevenThumps

I’ve heard about this series for quite a while, but still haven’t been able to try it out. That discount for the 3DS games may help me make my decision.

  • Josie the Sketcher

I love playing pullblox on my 3ds so I’ll buy it definitely!
