Image & Form has announced today that SteamWorld Dig is headed to Wii U. The game was released last year on the Nintendo 3DS before finally being ported to PC in an HD release. Since that HD release, Wii U fans the world over have asked Image & Form to consider releasing the title on the Wii U. This will be the first Nintendo home console release for the studio and with the critical reception that the game received on the Nintendo 3DS, we’re excited about seeing it finally available for Wii U owners.
We think Wii U is perfect for SteamWorld Dig for two reasons:
You guys have asked for it.
We’re massive Nintendo fans.
The game is releasing this fall, so if you’re one of the people who wanted to play this game on the Wii U, then you’re in luck! Congrats to the Image & Form guys for becoming official Wii U developers.
