Wii Sports Club retail coming to the US on July 25

wii-sports-club-logo

Wii Sports Club is coming to the United States in the form of a retail package on July 25, at a suggested retail price of $39.99. The package includes Tennis, Bowling, Golf, Baseball, and Boxing. For fans of the original Wii Sports, this is the perfect introduction to the Wii U.

For those who would rather purchase the digital version of these games, you’ll be able to do so on June 26 starting at 6pm PST. The European version is getting free trials reset for the new games that are available, so it’s likely North America will see the same thing. Pricing for each individual sport remains at $1.99 for a 24 hours pass, or $9.99 for the full sport.

20$ or less for this Wii rehash.

But, who wants the old Wii version?? Nintendo needs to drive Wii U sales, so that attitude is not going to help. Donno if it is worth the extra $20, but i am sure people will buy it, people buy COD every year, so why not this?

Ever heard of a remake before?

On line and HD graphics, i am in

If Nintendo Land had online, the Wii U might have seen double the sales.

        • bob

I’ve been saying this since I first played nintendoland. Especially zelda and metroid. Add walking to zelda and some more story to both and you could have an awesome dlc that I would definitely pay for.

          • Bob Charlie

            Nintendoland 2, please!
            Edit: “Nintendoworld”

      • thedeciderU

        the online is sweet

    • tronic307

The play mechanics are much improved in this HD version.

That is fantastic news, nothing drives sales like Wii Sports, making it a boxed game will let elders, parents etc. who do not read gaming news see the game, and buy it, should help a lot. Good move :D

But i will not be buying the game, not really in to it :/

  • palomino blue

This game screams digital. It should be prepacked on the Wii U. Not sure how well a retail version will do, especially with the ability to pay less for the one or two sports you actually want to play.

  • http://www.youtube.com/azhood321 AZHood

Sucks for those who went or are planning to go all digital with this game, as they’ll be paying more in the end with all five club passes.

  • kopaka7

This is a terribly edited article. First the subtitle says June 25 while the article and title say July, and then sport is spelled support.

    • BIG Franky

that’s what happens when you do a quick cut and paste of someone else’s lack of effort….

      • SinkyChan

or maybe (just maybe) it was done in a rush / on a mobile device?

  • Ducked

I haven’t felt like buying each game digital. I prefer my games physical. This will be a day one purchase for me.

  • http://Website.com Shane Michaels

I imagine this won’t sell like the other game that recently came out:

LOL, Luigi is an agent of Death. The more gifs I seem from him, the more it scares me, hehehe

    • thedeciderU

      this is amazing hahaha

  • D.M.T

I’m still not buying this. When it comes to sport games, I want a sport game with realistic graphics and realistic gameplay. I don’t want to play with Miis fuck that.

    • fireheartis1

Well this has to be the first time I’ve disagreed with you. Wii Sports is awesome even if the Miis look kind of creepy. Wii Sports Club will be just a great.

      • D.M.T

That’s ok dude, you don’t have to agree with me all the time.

  • Guest

this is perfect for the loser-hoarder–pussies that need a stack of boxes to display (why? I have no idea cuz no one ever goes to their houses) to feel better about themselves.

  • Zuxs13

It would be smart for them to allow their NFP figurines to work with this game. You could play Link in tennis next to a Mii, that would be great.

    • WT Herrod Jr.

Playing as Link in tennis would be like playing as Serena Williams

      HYAH! HYAAHH!!

  • HorizonChaser

For $40 I want Wii Sports & Wii Sports Plus bundled, upgraded, and expanded. I already have both discs and both are playable as is on the Wii U. Pretty new graphics is not enough to entice me to double-dip. #EndRegionLock

  • Marioman21

Dang it I already bought Tennis for ten bucks but I really want the boxed set for everything in it. Should I just wait for the price to go down on this and then delete my digital version with Tennis so I can still get it for cheaper?

    • FlashFan207

I honestly suspect a price drop for each individual sport off the eShop sometime before the retail set is released. Especially for those who have already shelled out the $9.99 for a sport or two.

      • Marioman21

        I hope.

      • Jason

I already bought tennis, golf, and bowling. I’m really hoping they give some discount for the remaining two sports otherwise that’d just be annoying, I’d much rather have the physical version.

  • ZeldaFan83

I understand the price because it’s remade in HD with new gameplay features plus GamePad and Wii Motion Plus support and online play, etc. but it should be around 29.99 but 39.99 is cheaper than paying 50 bucks for all the games digitally.

  • Fred

I’ll buy the boxing I like it before, but boxing with Wii motion plus could work pretty well

  • Adrian

    Finally!

  • steveb944

    YESSSS! GAME ON!

  • Moreck

Dammit Nintendo. I already downloaded two of the games, but I much prefer physical media over digital. Now I have to buy it twice. I wish they’d announce this stuff sooner.

WiiU can’t surpass PS4 sales even with MK8, what a fail console. LOLOLOL

        • lonewolf88

lol fuctard those were sales before mario kart 8 and before wii U sales went up 666% from that XD wii U guaranteed is top now.

      • Guest

        bitch please LOL

      • bob

I hate fanboys with no life that just say stupid things. Guest is probably some dumb ps or ms fanboy. Regardless of sales this is not even valid to the post. So pnto something to do with this post. When are they going to add the resort stuff like sword fighting. I want to chop someone up in a tourney.

  • fireheartis1

I’m going to get this for sure. I use the boxing game for part of my cardio workout. It’s going to be great now that my punches will actually register correctly.

  • http://virtualgamemuseum.webs.com/ NautoAce00125xxexe

So you save $5….IMO should have been $29.99.

  • thedeciderU

this game should have been a launch title if they really wanted to snag the wii casuals. too little too late, regardless of fun factor (i own bowling).
