Yesterday we showed you the massive gallery of new screenshots that have been added to the official Hyrule Warriors website by Tecmo Koei. Along with those shots we got to see some Skyward Sword environments as they appear in the game, as well as a new playable character in the form of Fi. Notorious baddie Ghirahim was also shown off, though it wasn’t made clear whether he would be playable or a boss to be defeated in the game.
Today, Nintendo of Europe tweeted the following to clarify that.

That’s bad news for those who were hoping to get behind the reigns of Ghirahim as a playable character, but for those of you who are happy he makes an appearance in Hyrule Warriors, he’s once again up to his old schemes.
Does the addition of these new characters make you more excited to play the game in September? Let us know in the comments.
