Nintendo showcases seven upcoming Wii U games in new trailer

One aspect that many fans have always been critical about when it comes to Nintendo is their lack of marketing for games. Nintendo has certainly stepped up the game on making sure the general public knows about their games, especially with high profile releases like Mario Kart 8. Nintendo UK uploaded this brand new trailer that showcases upcoming games for the Wii U.

The trailer begins with Hyrule Warriors of course, but then showcases several other titles, including Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Maker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Of course, trailers like this are meant to silence the notion that the Wii U “has no games,” which is something that has plagued the console since its life began in 2012. The next time you hear someone utter that phrase, you’ve got a trailer to show them.

Good Job Nintendo UK!! Now everyone can see that tons of games are coming, and whats out already.

    • MujuraNoKamen

Well not quite. This wont mean a thing until trailers like this air on TV. For now this only on their youtube channel and Nintendo based websites so only existing Wii U fans will see this video. They need to condense it to 1 minute and stick it on TV during as a screw you to the sony drones and Xbots who keep going on about “Wii U has no games duuurh”
Until then, nothing will change for Wii U.

  • D.M.T

People who say “Wii U has no games” just want you to feel bad about your purchase. They want you to regret buying a Wii U.

    • Yoshifan3

well theres people that say that about ps4 and xbox as well. its a never ending cycle. i love my Wii U and PS4. both great systems.

      • Nintendo Of North Korea

Over times the PS4 and XBONE will get their system sellers for me but right now there’s nothing for my taste, once I see The Elder Scrolls 6 or Red Dead Redemption 2 I’ll join their hype train.

        • Dallas Gooch

Not to be “that guy” but it would be Red Dead 3. Red Dead Redemption was Red Dead 2. But yeah I agree about system sellers. Nothing coming out this year makes me even remotely want either system. Maybe AC Unity but only because of the multiplayer story mode. I found that to be pretty awesome. Depends if my friends get it or not.

      • LordiMcKill

In the last few hours it’s been announced that the Tomb Raider sequel is now an Xbone exclusive and PS4 owners are going nuts because of this, failing to realise that the Wii U owners have had the exact same issue since the beginning of time.

But in the end we do get Bayonetta 2 and Devil’s Third so its not all bad.

        • matthew garcia

          Timed exclusive

    • Ace J

I regret getting a wii u. well actually i regret getting it at launch. i should have waited for a SSB bundle or something.

      • D.M.T

That can only mean one thing: you bought a Wii U at launch because of hype. Never buy a console because of hype. Think before you buy a new console. I bought a Wii U a month after launch and a PS4 6 months after launch and I don’t regret anything.

        • LordiMcKill

Yeah i’ve only had a Wii U since January. Never purchesed a console on launch, never really saw the point, i just usually wait around a year before i do so all the kinks can get ironed out.

        • Ace J

yup that is exactly why i bought a wii u; the way nintendo hyped it up, i couldn’t resist it.

    • Nintendo Of North Korea

Yeah, we toootally have no games, because the PS4/XBONE have a “huge” library of games. While the Wii U wasn’t that great when it released it’s got some fantastic games now, such as 3D World, Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart. And it will only get better!

    • Steve

That’s because people patronize graphics to the point of insanity. Graphics graphics GRAPHICS! That game has bad graphics, so it’s a terrible game. Blah blah blah! Last I checked, graphics alone doesnt make a game. It’s really sad what we’ve come it.

      • LordiMcKill

Exactly, these days people are more interested what it looks like, what resolution its pinged at or what the FPS is. That was one of the reasons why I chose Wii U. It’s not all about the graphics, resolution and FPS, its about how the game plays and what the gamepad does to change the gameplay to make it more interesting.

Splinter Cell is a prime example, the load times are terrible and the graphics are great but the gameplay are solid. If i had choice to play on 360 with its standard gameplay or on Wii U with the ability to instantly change weapons and use the gamepad screen to use the snake-cam or control the Tri-Copter? You can bet which version i’d choose.

  • Petri

Will be getting all of those games.
Only about 2 months for Bayonetta.

  • Ducked

Very good trailer. It does show two things though, the Wii U has a lot of 2D games, and a lot of Mario. Xenoblade and Zelda look amazing! And I’m finally anticipating a Yoshi game for once.

My guess is Yoshi Woolly World, Mario Party 10, Mario Maker, and Splatoon release in the first half of 2015. When Xenoblade, Zelda, and Star Fox releasing in the Fall. I’m also predicting Nintendo reveals a 2D Metroid game at E3, and a new Animal Crossing for Wii U.

    • LordiMcKill

I get the feeling that the Wii U will be the king of 2D games before long. Especially since about half of the current & upcoming indie titles are 2D.

      • Ducked

True. I feel like with games like New Super Mario Bros Wii, and Rayman Orgins. People began to realize that 2D platformers are better, and cheaper.

  • LordiMcKill

A no show from Devil’s Third though :(

    • Archiq09

+ More people want see Devil’s Third multiplayer gameplay after his multiplayer trailer .. and it’s not just people who have a WiiU who want see it ;)

    • Jared Lytle

Not trying to be rude but am I the only one who thought that game looked incredibly terrible, like laughably terrible.

      • Random_Player

        Yes, yes you are.

        • http://facebook.com/validgraphics val berger

16 upvotes are speaking a different language, actually. It’s a polarizing game, some might love it, some might hate it. In any case it’s none of those games Nintendo would pick for a trailer. Obvious reasons apart from it’s gameplay values.

      • Nathan C.

Laughably terrible? Couldn’t we say the same thing about Mario Party 10?

        • D.M.T

          Uhm no we couldn’t

          • Nathan C.

Why not? It’s uses the same mechanics as Mario Party 9 (one of which no one wanted to see return, including myself, who actually liked MP9) and does nothing to celebrate the series’ past.

          • D.M.T

Dude, you don’t know much about Mario Party 10 so how do you know that MP 10 does nothing to celebrate the series’ past? And I suggest you speak for yourself. Who are all those people you talking about that don’t like the mechanics?

          • Nathan C.

Uh, the fans that have been following the series since 1998? While I DID like what Mario Party 9 did for the series, I felt like it could only work as a one time thing.

Also, when I say “celebrate the series’ past”, I literally mean bring back elements from past Mario Parties in order to celebrate the fact that this is the tenth installment of the series. You are saying this game may bring that to the table, yet the footage they had shown at E3 showed no signs of that. This game is coming out next year, too. So you really shouldn’t expect a lot of things to change about it.

          • D.M.T

Like I said, you saw 1 trailer, just 1 and you’re already disappointed even though you don’t know much about the game. Remember how many people were disappointed with Super Mario 3D World at first? Look how that turned out. Everyone who has played the game loves it. The E3 trailer doesn’t say much about Mario Party 10

          • Nathan C.

At least 3D World still looked like a GOOD game back then even if it was disappointing at first. Mario Party 10 doesn’t have that going for it. You also can’t compare a 3D Mario to a Mario Party game. Nintendo EAD puts in a lot more effort into their games then Nd Cube does.

Also, if you back at the E3 trailers of Mario Party 9 and Island Tour, you’ll notice the game has barely changed from the final version. Considering that, it’s perfectly reasonable for me (and every other fan who agrees) to jump to conclusions from seeing the trailer.

          • Jonathan Robitaille

it looks good to me. Let me guess, you don’t think Captain Toad deserves its own game and especially not retail because you saw a total of 4 levels at E3. Probably also were crying about SM3DW was shallow and a SM3DL rehash. How can you not give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt. They deliver for the most part. Wait till it drops or you see more than a minute of footage to decide.

          • Nathan C.

Firstly, I never saw 3D World as a “3D Land rehash”. I just felt it was a missed opportunity for EAD to make another Super Mario Galaxy game.

Secondly, this isn’t just Nintendo who’s behind it. It’s Nd Cube. And Nd Cube bestows the reputation of changing the Mario Party formula to something a a lot of people don’t appreciate.

Regarding Captain Toad, I could really care less about it. I didn’t like the levels in 3D World, so it’s a no-buy for me. Not because it looks bad (which it doesn’t), that’s just my preference. I would buy it if it was DLC, though.

          • 504HotBoy

You speak the truth. People jump the gun way too fast these days. A game that looks great in early stages can turn out to look bad (Watch Dogs). Vice Versa, a game that looks rough in it’s early stages can turn out looking great. A lot of gamers these days are extremely dense.

          • SolarShane13

1 trailer which just happen to include the same bullshit that MP9 had.

          • Jonathan Robitaille

how can you possibly infer that by watching a 30 second snippet? c’mon man

          • Nathan C.

The Mario Party 10 trailer isn’t 30 seconds long. =(

      • Ducked

No you wouldn’t be. The game is trying to throw three different genres of gameplay in the same game, and that isn’t going to work too well.

        • D.M.T

How do you know it isn’t going to work well?

          • Ducked

It doesn’t look like it will. The mixed gameplay is just too much. Wasn’t a fan of the cheesy comedy either. Of course that’s just my opinion, who knows.

      • Daniel Gonzalez

Nope. There was a group here who wasn’t impressed with it.

        • D.M.T

It was “canceled” because of THQ going bankrupt. It’s not because the game is bad

          • Rinslowe

            He’s a crazy hermit….

      • PS4WiiURocks

        No it was only you..lol

      • LordiMcKill

It’s a Wii U 2nd party exclusive, these are very rare and we must cherish them no matter what they look like.

Besides, who doesn’t want to go around throwing fruit into a giant blender!

      • TheyCallHimBigAl

I hope it’s laughably bad. It’s like a Japanese Duke Nukem 3d/Saints Row 3 kinda thing. The more zany, over-the-top, and unbalanced the game is the better.

      • Zach Cruz

        not just you.

      • Magnus

It looked like early PS3 shit game

      • 504HotBoy

How so? Not trying to defend Devil’s Third, but I’m go tell it like it is. A lot of people talking out their a** about the game. But let’s compare Bayonetta 2 to Devil’s Third. At a quick glance or not a fully observed watch. Bayonetta 2 looks like it’s killing Devil’s Third in the graphic department. Which in a lot of ways it is. This is understandable, because Bayonetta 2 was built from the ground up on Wii U hardware and optimize to run smoothly on the hardware. Devil’s Third went through 3 engine changes, different hardware and what was obviously shown hasn’t been optimize to run on Wii U hardware yet. The game is getting release to 2015, so they have plenty of time to polish up what needs to be polished. People who saying the game looks like a PS2 game or a early 360/PS3 game are smoking some powerful stuff. Anyway back to what I was saying. When I don’t have hands on experience with a game and can only judge it through videos and screen shots. I thoroughly analyze it. As I did with Bayonetta 2 & Devil’s Third. I watched all the trailers in HD and observed everything, I seen all the screen shots and paid attention to everything. With that said Devil’s Third character models and close up facial animation are more detailed than Bayonetta 2. More detailed skin, veins, scars, wrinkles, tattoos, weapons, clothing, hair, etc. Bayonetta 2 looks more flat in that department or rather bland. The animation is more fluid in Bayonetta 2 of course, as that points back to it being more optimize and running smoothly on Wii U hardware and it’s obvious the build that was shown of DT wasn’t quite there yet. Another thing is Bayonetta 2 looks more bright and colorful, and the real time effects have all been implemented in already. Devil’s Third colors look more muted and don’t look like they applied too many effects yet. It’s the same with Mario Kart 8, which everyone saw this beautiful colorful game (graphics are great, nice art) with all these nice effects. But the character models, even things in the environment are very simpilistic. I said all that to say this, the game not as bad as people making it out to be and give it time to fully get developed. Doesn’t matter if the game was in development since 2010. It’s running on a different engine now and different hardware, let Valhalla Studios & Nintendo SPD finish polishing the game up, before final judgement.

    • Rich Garriques

because its a pegi 16 trailer

      • LordiMcKill

        And Bayonetta is??

    • Guest

Maybe it’s because they can’t get away with showing all that blood and gore in a trialer with Toad and Yoshi in it. Maybe…

    • http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008SRISGU#reader_B008SRISGU Adam Howell

The single player stuff shown did look awful. The multiplayer stuff showed in a different treehouse event looked really great.

  • D.M.T

This trailer forgot about Devil’s Third.

    • Petri

Maybe because they advertised trailer as Pegi 16.
Devil’s Third is confirmed Pegi 18.
Though why they believe they will get Pegi 16 out of Bayonetta 2 is beyond me.
Torture attacks alone should crank the game up to 18.
Or they intend on removing any content that would make this game Pegi 18.
Which from business point of view would be understandable, but not acceptable.

      • D.M.T

I’m pretty sure Bayo 2 is Pegi 18

        • Petri

Well, it hasn’t been officially rated yet.
But Nintendo seems to anticipate Pegi 16.

  • D.M.T

What the fuck happened to Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem? Haven’t heard shit about that game since the Nintendo Direct of January 2013.

  • Jake

Now compress this in 30 seconds to a minute and start airing it on tv and other media.

    • http://facebook.com/validgraphics val berger

Nintendo Head of Marketing:’Yes … we could do that. But nobody would get it. We need to run a few ads with happy families. Showing how happy families are playing WiiU. And they need to …TOTALLY NATURALLY keep mentioning how much fun they have. Yes, let’s stick to that. Amazing idea.’

      • SolarShane13

Or, here in the US: Ads with kids trying to convince their parents to get a Wii U even though they already own one. Most confusing ads ever.

        • http://facebook.com/validgraphics val berger

in 50 yrs or so, these ads might really get popular though. On some “the most craziest vintage ads” listings.

      • http://Website.com/ Shane Michaels

And don’t forget, they have to be white! Because it is a basic template to spread your racial colors over!

        I’m gonna get banned.

        • matthew garcia

Meh. I’m Hispanic but most of my friends are white. No big deal

        • Steve

The point any commercial is to inform viewers about a product. Just because the people featured in a commercial are predominantly white, black, green, blue, gray, teel, or whatever, does not make it racist. In fact, the point of a commercial isn’t, and has never been, to display their race.

The situation changes, if, and only if, one can prove that the creators intentionally chose the people included based solely on race.

          • http://facebook.com/validgraphics val berger

Have you ever worked in the Ad industry? Everything is completely targeted. So if Shane sees a pattern there, there most likely might be a pattern there. Must not be intentional racist though, not in terms of ideology. More like ‘which demographics do we want to encourage to throw their money at us?’
Usually it’s more about statistics. Doesn’t make it right for sure, but in the end, it’s all about the money.

          • http://Website.com/ Shane Michaels

I’ve seen some ads with a black family, but the most predominant ones were with white families, or at least white children. I’ve no problem with that, I like white people, I like people in general.

The no-shows for games like Devil’s Third and SMT x FE are, IMHO, good things. It means that the Wii U has even MORE games coming than the trailer has shown.

    • uPadWatcher

Nintendo of Europe didn’t want to add Devil’s Third due to the over the top graphic violence (blood and gore).

  • Kieran Ryan

Xenoblade character modles look like ass

    • matthew garcia

The voice acting is horrible also but it’s still a great game

    • zlk

I’m hoping that’s more the case of it being early release builds than a reflection of the art direction.

    • uPadWatcher

Ryan… those are just cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles X… NOT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY! Not to mention it’s from the developers who made the Xenosaga trilogy on PS2 and Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii.

    • Rinslowe

Their particular cutscene style isn’t exactly cutting edge, that’s for sure. But the in game character models look to be quite robust and the animations fluid enough for an open world game of this scope, especially considering the level of character customisation available. The dolls or “mechs” look quite impressive on both points as well, in game.

      • Guest

        ..

  • Phoenix Maybe

Nintendo actually thinks that Sonic Boom will do well? I don’t know if the kids will catch on with that game, but it seems like the overall opinion for this game is A) “meh” or B) “make Sonic shut up already!”

    • Merry_Blind

I guess it all depends on whether or not the TV show will catch on with kids. If it does, I’m sure the game will sell more than well! But yeah, personally, I don’t think the game looks too good. I’m excited to see the ‘next-gen’ Sonic title Sonic Team are working on though.

      • Phoenix Maybe

Me too! A little voice in my head keeps saying “Sonic Adventure 3″, but that probably won’t happen. As long as the next game will be fun like Sonic Colors and Generations then I’ll be happy.

      • Alan Michael Hensley

The Sonic games on the Wii U are “next gen”

        • Merry_Blind

Indeed. I don’t know I just called it like that because that’s how it was ”anounced” I think. I meant the Sonic for X1/PS4/PC.

      • D.M.T

        You mean current gen

        • Merry_Blind

          Sure…

    • Jamyskis

Apparently Sonic: Lost World didn’t do too badly at all. Doesn’t surprise me to be honest – PlayStation and Xbox are dominated by the dudebro segment where Sonic (and JRPGs for that matter) are completely out of place. The Wii U market has a lot of platformer gamers that enjoy games like Mario and Kirby, so Sonic is better positioned on the WIi U and 3DS (even if the thought of Sonic being a mainly Nintendo franchise still feels deeply strange to my mind – like cats and dogs living together…)

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Wii U became the go-to console for traditional Japanese gaming experiences. In fact, I wonder if Namco’s Tales series will make its way back to Nintendo (I’ve been playing them on PS3, and they’re fine there, but I don’t think they’ve had their deserved success…)

      • Jon Turner

I hope so too; I love TALES OF SYMPHONIA; it was one of my favorite games. Namco has a good relationship with Nintendo, too, so it COULD happen. ON the other hand, there are no current plans to do so, but HIdeo Baba said it wasn’t impossible, so….

I’d also be hoping for FFXV and KH3 to come to WiiU (SE never really said they wouldn’t do it), but I wonder. SE and Nintendo aren’t on bad terms anymore these days, but I guess it depends on how well WiiU sells AND if SE can work out a deal. I AM disappointed that Konami’s PES 2015 is not making it to WiiU, so I no longer know what to expect, but that doesn’t mean I can’t hope for these three.

      • Merry_Blind

I can actually see this happening. As Sony try to gather more and more to the West, the East might start to migrate to other platforms since I feel its target demographic is running thin on Playstation.

        • Jon Turner

If that really happens then at least there IS hope for support over there. MAYBE KH3 and/or FFXV will hit WiiU there because of it. Who knows. It COULD happen.

      • LordiMcKill

Like somethings in life, sometimes those who have grudges between each other early in life are likely to become good friends later on. Look at the 90s Console War, Nintendo & Sega battled each other to death and look how that that turned out. Now they are sorta best buddies.

    • Des

It’s anyone’s guess whether or not Sonic Boom will sell well or at least to Sega’s expectation. I’m just hoping the game get’s great reviews and sells extremely well. Sega is one of the last few 3rd party companies that still supports Nintendo. Which is odd because I grew up back when they were direct competitors in the 80’s through the early 2000’s with the death of the Dreamcast. They’ve since formed a bromance. So I’m really pulling for this game.

      • Phoenix Maybe

I would love for this game to be a success too, it just hasn’t convinced me so yet.

        • Des

My kid is the biggest Sonic the Hedgehog fan. So I’ll definitely be picking up the game in time for X-Mas. I’m sure there are a lot of other diehard fans out there who will get it no matter what and some parents/grandparents who will buy it simply because it’s a new Wii U game that’s rated E for everyone. It’ll be up to game reviewers and hopefully some decent advertisement to sell the rest. I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.

  • Ghost8484

    Rip robin williams

  • TheyCallHimBigAl

Loved the new stage teasers for Splatoon. Of all games coming out it seems like the freshest for Nintendo. Also, Mario Party 10 was made for asymmetric gameplay, looking forward to that too.

It was nice to see a mixture of games and game types in the vid. Diversity of genres will really help Nintendo out, seeing as how most of the e-shop seems to be side-scrollers.

    • Merry_Blind

Yeah at first it was a bummer that all players are moving as one in the same wagon in Mario Party 10, but then the ‘GamePad 5th player is Bowser” concept sold me on the game.
We’ll see, it might be crap, but the concept sounds really fun and refreshing (for Mario Party)!!

      • TheyCallHimBigAl

If anything needed some refreshing it was Mario Party. But as long as the game still goes well with buddies and beer it’ll be a buy in my book.

        • Merry_Blind

          Indeed!

    • Nintendo Of North Korea

Yeah, I didn’t like Splatoon at all when I saw it but now I’m cautiously excited!

      • TheyCallHimBigAl

Indeed! I do most agree with the People’s Great Leader Kim-Jong Un’s cautious excitement! Truly, Splatoon will be another game the Defender of the Korean Revolution will best those capitalist pigs at!

  • Alexander Kleinwechter

sooo , people still say wii u has no games? xD haha suuuuure. who knows what nintendo will also showcase next years E3, for now, Wii U and 3DS have ton of games coming this fall and winter, and has already a great 2015 line up.

  • Jamyskis

Only affirms the fact that the best exclusives are indeed coming to Wii U (except for Microsoft’s rather scummy move of making the new Tomb Raider Xbone-exclusive). Still, I’m hoping for announcements of new stuff.

    MOAR GAMES NINTENDO! MOAR GAMES!

  • Nathan C.

If they’re marketing old games too (like 3D World and Art Academy), why not promote good games like Lego City Undercover or The Wonderful 101?

  • brian

“Nintendo has certainly stepped up the game on making sure the general public knows about their games”

Not really. We internet surfers and video game site visitors are not “the general public”. I have yet to see a single television commercial for Wii U.

They should be promoting the hell out of Art Academy. Its the only “game” that has real use from the gamepad. There’s a ton of promotion potential in that alone.

    • Jonathan Robitaille

yeah, cuz Captain Toad, Wooly World, Kirby, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Mario Party 10, etc don’t use the gamepad at all

      • FutureFox

I say Art Academy as a point of entry for casual gamers. But it should be mentioned along side those other games so better highlight and show the versatility of the gamepad. Not just being used as a mini-map, which has been its most exploited utility.

  • PS4WiiURocks

Awesomeness..Im so ready and so is my wallet!

    • LordiMcKill

Don’t you mean ‘My body is ready’?

      • PS4WiiURocks

        True too…lol

  • companyoflosers

they still arent selling the wii u too well to the crowd that still thinks nintendo only makes kiddie games. i personally know its not true and i know there are alot of people who know it, but there are even more who dont. nintendo needs to gear their marketing towards convincing those people, and this isnt doing that. they need to emphasize their more mature games. sure make mention of your main franchises, but most of what i sqaw in this was mario, mario, and more mario. give us more air time for bayonetta, xenoblade, hyrule warriors (as much as i see it just as a dynasty warriors reskin), and they need to show some devil’s third as well. as of right now they talk like they are going to appeal to other audiences but havent shown anything for it publicly. the only people who know are those who actively search websites like these. the “casual shooter” audience isnt even remotely aware that nintendo does things like this.

  • mojack411

The trailer negates the “Wii U has no games” argument, but unfortunately the “Wii U has no 3rd party” argument still stands and probably will for quite a while longer. Even with fantastic 1st party titles on the horizon, the near complete abandonment of 3rd party support for the Wii U certainly does not lend to an appealing image.

    • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

It has games, but those are not enough. For example, why Nintendo did not announce anything at Gamescon?

    • LordiMcKill

It has Warner Bros, Disney and Activision… and thats about it. And Ubisoft on the odd occasion.

      • mojack411

You missed the one I feel is most prominent and that’s Platinum Games haha. Just yes, I only said “near complete abandonment” because there is still a little bit of 3rd party support.

  • Sasuke Uchiha

    PALUTENA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RyuNoHadouken

Same shit, over and over, only provides the same results…they need new leadership and modern ideas, across the board.

  • MujuraNoKamen

Great trailer but instead of doing 7min long youtube videos how about Nintendo does a shorter version of this and airs on TV for all to see? Despite this trailer there is still a loack of marketing because who’s going to see this? Wii U fans and people already looking at Wii U vids. That’s who.
If Nintendo wants to get people interested and actually buying the system then air footage of captain Toad, Zelda, Xenoblade and Bayonetta on TV and show the world outside of the Nintendo fanbase that Wii U can compete with XBox and PS4 – it can god damn it!

  • greengecko007

Is this a European trailer? I ask because I noticed that Captain Toad was listed as January 2015 in the video. The game has been officially delayed in some territories like Europe, but there’s been rumors that it could possibly be delayed everywhere. I’d like to know, because I’m definitely interested in that game.

    • MujuraNoKamen

      Yes, it’s from Nintendo UK.

      • greengecko007

Thanks for clarifying that. I was worried because it’s also been delayed in Australia and New Zealand.

        • MujuraNoKamen

Damn now you’ve said that I’m not sure since Aus/NZ is PAL region just like Europe so maybe it will be.
Or maybe not, all the articles I’ve read only state Europe so fingers crossed you don’t have anything to worry about.

  • Jon Turner

If thirds are hesitant to return because they need to see WiiU sell more units, then let’s hope these games do the job so that several of them can have a change of heart. It’s good for Nintendo to advertise right now; they need it.

  • Brandon

Did anyone watch gamescom. Wow so many big announcements.

    • matthew garcia

Yeah the most unexpected part of it to me was Xbox getting tomb raider exclusively. That’s huge for them. Microsoft just has that kind of money to do something like that and Sony doesn’t. Nintendo has this kind of money also maybe they should just buy exclusives also

      • Brandon

Same that blew my mind, and to think i was about to to get the definitive edition for ps4. Now im just going to wait till i get my xbox this black friday and pick up with the other games #halo. Still want a wii u but im going to delay getting one for now.

        • matthew garcia

Yeah man. That is Microsoft’s way to have a game that’s in competition with uncharted 4. Be interesting to see which game comes out better

      • LordiMcKill

That’s why we have Bayonetta 2 and Devil’s Third.

    • Jonathan Robitaille

I gotta say…RIME gives me that Zelda vibe. It appears Sony is ready to take Zelda on and I for one thought it looked pretty bad ass. Can’t wait to see more. Lots of games. Will Nintendo have a show too? If not, another missed opportunity

      • Brandon

So far microsoft is winning imo, not like it matters since everyone is going to do great.

      • matthew garcia

Rime also kind of reminds me of ico

  • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

Meanwhile Microsoft and Sony are announcing new exclusive games in Gamescon, while Nintendo is…
    Well, being Nintendo XD

    • FutureFox

Bloodborne…to say it looks amazing would be placing it in common company of other “amazing” games. That game is in another canopy of excellence.

      • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

Dude, the next Silent Hill is going to be produced by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, and there is a possibility to be PS4 exclusive.

Im just gonna say Im starting to feel jealous….
I really need a PS4 for next year.

  • DJKeens

A lot of people say Nintendo needs to make more games. Um this video shows a plethora of games, most by Nintendo. That’s honestly a marvel so many games can be in production and released roughly around the same time. I’d say they’re busting their tails to pump out games. But agreed this video needs to find every media source available and get the word out.

  • CharlesAnderson

This video should be in 60fps.

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/upgamingchannel Mrleblanc101 [5700+ post]

      Youtube only accept 30fps video….

  • SolarShane13

Nintendo has stepped up their marketing efforts? Since when?

I have only seen ONE Wii U ad through out it’s lifetime. Wii U isn’t selling Nintendo? Well, that’s you’re problem right there. Maybe if Nintendo advertised the Wii U the same amount that they did the Wii, it would be in a better situation. But Noooo….. Nintendo screws up every chance it gets.

  • mateorush90

    Gimme all of them :]

  • Deadpool U

There’s only one word for this:Awesome!
But personally it could’ve used more chimichangas.

  • Justin Hernandez

Im very impressed with this video. It really shows off all the great Wii That’s been released and titles that’ll be coming. It puts a muzzle on those who says that “Wii U doesn’t have games”

    • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

      It has games…. But still..
      Its not enough

  • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

Im impressed, I will get most of these games. But still… its not enough…

    • Shootdatrupee!…

      *sigh*

  • Santiago

It clearly says 2015 under the new Zelda! Wiiiu!

  • Steve

Can’t wait for Hyrul Wariors, Beyoneta, Xenoblade, Smash, Captain Toad, and Splatoon.

  • Ben English

Seven minutes of reasons to get a Wii U right there.

  • anthony optimo

Tropical Freeze is a very fun game with great music; pick it up if you haven’t already.
