Amiibo fans have been hyped about the upcoming classic Super Mario amiibo that comes in both retro and modern color styles, but until now we didn’t have a release date for it. It looks like the amiibo will be launching on September 11 alongside Super Mario Maker and several other amiibo figures, including Bowser Jr., Olimar, Zero Suit Samus, Dr. Mario, and Ganondorf.
A retro three-pack celebrating some of Nintendo’s lesser-known characters, including R.O.B., Mr. Game & Watch, and the Duck Hunt Dog will also be available in September, though it’s not arriving until September 25.
Will you be picking up any of the amiibo in this batch? I’ve got my eye set on getting a modern color 8-bit Mario amiibo just because of how stunning it looks. Here’s a quick comparison.
