Extreme Exorcism has been part of Nintendo’s indie showcase for both E3 and PAX Prime and now, we finally have a release date and price for the title. Ripstone has informed us that Extreme Exorcism will be headed to Wii U and other platforms on September 23, for $12.99.
Developed by Golden Ruby Games, players take on the role of Mae Barrons, a hero of unlikely origins who has a few unconventional methods of clearing out supernatural elements when all else has failed. The interesting mechanic of the game is that your enemies learn your strategies, so when you take out a ghost, another will appear that mimics your movements, weapon attacks and dodges. You’ll have to be extra vigilant in order to get through all 50 challenges.
The game also features a whole arsenal of weapons, including everything from swords and mines down to lightning spells and Kung-Fu. The game features both single-player and local co-op with up to four players, where you can either complete the game co-operatively, or go into Deathmatch and destroy your friends.
