Freedom Planet developers GalaxyTrail have not had an easy time with their game so far. The game was originally supposed to debut sometime in August, but a critical error found during testing on home consoles led the developers to postpone the release to attempt to fix it. When that didn’t work they delayed the game again indefinitely.
That didn’t stop Damon Baker from discussing the game with the team during Nintendo’s Nindies @ Night event during PAX Prime. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, its stylized to be similar to Sega Genesis era platform games, but each character within the game plays differently so you’ll never feel like you’re playing the same game twice. Each character has unique levels as well, so you’ll always be discovering something new.
The developers still don’t have a solid release date, but according to the developers, they’re aiming to have the game out by the end of September.
