A few days ago we learned that Toon Link will be a playable character in Hyrule Warriors Legends. While the Nintendo 3DS game is breaking new ground in terms of additional content not yet seen in the Wii U version, according to the Famitsu article that reveals some of Toon Link’s moves and how he plays, the additional content being released for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game will make its way to the Wii U version as well.
So what’s Toon Link’s moveset look like? According to the translation of Famitsu’s reveal, Toon Link’s attacks will be sword-based and very quick. He’ll be able to send large groups of enemies flying and Toon Link can also use the Deku Leaf to attack. One aspect that sets Toon Link apart from regular Link is a hammer that allows him to smash the ground to shake up surrounding enemies.
We also knew that Wind Waker areas will be added to Legend Mode with a new story, but that Toon Link will not be available for play in this mode. Areas included in this section include Windfall Island, Dragon Roost Island, and Forsaken Fortress.
