In a recent interview with IGN, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino stated that he’d like to get Yo-Kai Watch into the hands of as many players as possible. That includes releasing versions of the game on the Wii U, or potentially the Nintendo NX when that hardware is finally debuted.
Hino and his team recently worked with Ubisoft on a Yo-Kai Watch-themed version of Let’s Dance for release inside of Japan. That’s currently the closest Yo-Kai Watch has gotten to debuting on a home console in any region.
Of course, no announcements were made for either platform, but I suppose it’s nice to see one of the biggest studios in Japan hasn’t given up on the possibility of Wii U releases for its games.
