Splatoon getting two new stages and 40 pieces of winter gear

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Bill Trinen revealed that Nintendo plans to continue updating Splatoon at least through January. He also revealed two new maps for the game, including the already leaked Museum d’Alfonsino and Mahi-Mahi Resort. The unique thing about these maps is that they both have moving parts that will keep you on your toes.

Museum d’Alfonsino features five giant rotating platforms in the middle, so you’ll have to be extra careful of sneak attacks, while Mahi-Mahi Resort takes place in a giant resort hotel pool. Toward the end of the match, the water level drops in the pool, revealing tons of new area to splat and leaving the winner of the match a pretty good surprise.

In addition to the two new maps, new winter gear is coming for you to dress your Inklings in as well.
