Today during the final Smash Direct, series director Masahiro Sakurai announced several new characters, the first of which is Corrin from Fire Emblem. Both the male and female versions of Corrin will be added to the game.
Corrin’s moveset includes the Dragon Fang ability, which allows him to transform into a dragon as he fights. Dragon Lunge allows Corrin to pin enemies to the ground for swift kicks. Finally, Dragon Ascent allows Corrin to spread his wings and gives him a wider attack range. Corrin’s Final Smash is Torrential Roar, which scoops up nearby enemies within a whirlpool and tosses them out at once.
Corrin isn’t launching with an exclusive stage, but you get two additional music tracks for free when you purchase him. The Fire Emblem Fates theme song and a remix of the New Challenger theme will be included.
Corrin will be available starting at $4.99 for either the Wii U or 3DS versions, or you can buy them both for $5.99.
