Today, The Pokemon Company announced its upcoming crossover with the Tekken series–Pokken Tournament–will be arriving worldwide on March 18, with the exception of Australia where it will be launching on the 19th. This was the same date that was confirmed in Japan’s last Nintendo Direct in November, while everyone else got a Spring release date for their region.
Pokken Tournament will support LAN play as well, so two players can battle on two separate TVs for extra mayhem. This release seems pretty high profile in the same way that Hyrule Warriors was high profile both for Nintendo and Koei Tecmo. HORI has already come on board to make official accessories of the Japanese arcade controller, should you want to play the game with the controller that was designed for it.
