Remember the time long, long ago when you actually looked forward to system updates? It seems like it’s been a terribly long time since we got anything interesting in terms of a firmware update and that trend is continuing with the latest. Nintendo has updated the Wii U to version 5.5.1.
So what’s changed? Not a lot, really. Nintendo lists the update as “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.” Which is bog standard when it comes to updates for the console, lately. When was the last firmware update that actually added new features? Way back on December 1st, 2014. Ouch.
