Yesterday Twitter exploded when a Nintendo staffer tweeted Undertale developer Toby Fox in order to get into contact with him. This led to rampant speculation that Nintendo was courting the developer to bring Undertale to the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS, but the developer has clarified a few things about all the speculation that sprouted up.
But Game Maker (what I use) doesn't export to any Nintendo platforms. In most cases, the game would have to be reprogrammed from scratch.

According to his tweets, he’s already been in contact with Nintendo about Undertale, but due to the limitations of the engine he used to create the game, it would have to be reprogrammed from scratch in order for the game to appear on either console. This isn’t exactly unheard of, as the studio Curve Digital has worked with several indie developers to bring their games to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
