Japanese publication Nikkei is reporting that Nintendo will be ceasing production of the Wii U this year. We’ve already seen rumors about this thanks to low stock in Japan, but it’s thought that with the reveal of the Nintendo NX, Nintendo is winding down production on the Wii U.
Nikkei says poorly selling software and lack of interest in the hardware is the reason why Nintendo is ceasing production of the Wii U.
