After Retro Studios finished up Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze a few years ago, the studio went quiet about what they’re working on. There have been no announcements from either Nintendo or any of the studio heads, so many have speculated that the company has been hard at work on a new title for the Nintendo NX.
According to noted rumor mill-monger Emily Rogers, Retro Studios is in fact, working on a new NX title and it’s not in the Donkey Kong or Metroid franchises, but instead something entirely new. Here’s Rogers’ tweet about the project.
Rumor part 2: Not Diddy Kong Racing 2 either. It sounds more like a new IP.
